*She's still smiling when she breaks away and laces her fingers through his, loving the way the ring sparkles on her finger. She turns around, and knows that Tam is lurking, but decides not to call her on it. She can wait til later to see the ring properly. She giggles, not sure which direction to head first. Her first thought is the Astronomy Tower, so she can shout from the rooftop, but she thinks that's probably not the best way to share the news.... her eyes widen*

Oh Merlin, I have to owl my family! I haven't written home all year, they're going to think I've dropped off the face of the earth!

[-agrees- It depends on what happens with Lily when we finish this next week. I can't do shit with Sev until I know the outcome. We only planned as far as we got yesterday... So yeah. We don't know where it's going either. But yeah, his reaction depends on how that ends.]

He laughs watching her. "Should probably do that! You don't want them to think you've disappeared! I've written home twice this year. I'll have to do that later too." He laughed again stepping up behind her and burying his face in her hair. "Mmm, I love you."

What if they don't like me? What if they think I'm not good enough? Or that I'm too young, too stupid, too messed up for him? What would I do? Would that change his mind?

Sensing her nervousness he smiles and pulls her tightly against him kissing her forehead. "Don't worry love. I'm pretty sure they're going to love you! Plus they'll probably just be relieved that I found someone who wanted to share their life with me. And if, for some ridiculous reason, they don't like you well then that's too bad because nothing's going to change my mind now." Goodness knows I know they've worried about that...that I'd never get married because of my condition. They'll be happy, and they will love her. I know they will. How could they not?
