Remus placed both hands on either side of her face, wiping any remaining tears away with his thumbs. "Mine's not pretty either...well it's not that bad, but still not what I expected of them. Together sounds good." He kissed her then pulled the letter out of his pocket, crumpled and somewhat smudged from his earlier tears. Sighing, he handed it over.

One surprise after another is it? Honestly, we're surprised at you. We told you to be careful about things like this and now look what's happened. We know you're responsible Remus but, we can't help but wonder if your judgment is a bit impaired by your love for Hermione. So she does know about your condition. Well, we're glad you were able to tell her, but we're just hoping you're being careful about who you tell. You have to make sure they're trustworthy. Have you considered what effect your condition may have on her or your child? You don't know if that could be passed on or not and we're worried that something may happen to the baby or Hermione.
As for the full moon, your father and I think it'd be best if you came home now during that time. It's for you own safety and now that there is a kid in the picture we wouldn't want anything bad to happen. We're worried for you Remus, please be careful.
You know we'll do everything we can to help. Even if we don't entirely agree with this whole situation we still love you.

Try not to surprise us with anything else will you?

*She takes his letter and almost reluctantly hands her own over for him to read. Her eyes fly across the page, thinking it was like ripping a bandaid off - the quicker you did it, the sooner the pain would be over. She speaks in a slightly strangled voice.*

Well.... your parents are still taking things better than mine, at least. And I promise you can trust me, even if your judgement is impaired...

He looks up at her when she speaks, halfway through reading her parent's letter. "They shouldn't have said that, they don't know you as well as I do. And, honestly, 'it's for your own safety' as if, that's bull. They're just trying to protect everyone else from an angry wolf that almost killed his own friends, I'm not that stupid, I get what they're saying." He laughed bitterly then gritted his teeth, going back to reading her parent's letter.
After finishing it he dropped it unceremoniously on the ground and turned, not meeting her eyes and shaking rather furiously. "Well, since I'm clearly no good for you and they expect me to run off leaving you with the kid I guess you should..." He choked on his sarcastic remark and pulled her close, sobbing into her shoulder. "I'm sorry. I didn't want them to...to treat you like this. You deserve so much better. I'm sorry."

Shh, it's ok. Listen to me - I love you and I trust you. Your parents will come around, once they've got over their shock a little bit. They obviously love you, obviously want you just to be safe and happy. They'll come around, I'm sure of it.
My parents, on the other hand... *Her voice gets hard and flat and steady.* Well, they're not my parents any more. Not my family, family doesn't treat each other this way. Besides, you and me and the cub, we're our own family now. And that comes first for me. Always.

He calmed down after a bit but kept his face in her shoulder, hands clutching at her back, afraid to let go. It always calmed him down when she rubbed the back of his neck but, this time it just stopped his tears. It couldn't get rid of the anger he still felt. She didn't deserve to be treated like this from her own family. Family were supposed to be supportive and helpful, even if they disapproved of your actions. Not...not like this. "I still think that they should be supportive of you, even if they disapprove. They're your family. But, if they're going to remain like this...well, we have our own family now. And once my parents come around they'll see how amazing you are, and trustworthy, then they'll adore you and things'll get better. They have too." He sniffed. "I love you so very much."
