"Well, sharing is caring," Faye joked, bringing the cigarette back to her lips and dragging out the last bit. She dropped it to the floor and squished it into the cold ground with her shoe. She turned back to the kid, "My magnificent toothpaste could be yours, but you'd need to give me something in return probably."

He grinned, dropping his smoldering ciggerette on the floor. "I'll think about that, but now is time for my world-destroying shower. See you around." He waved vaguely in her direction and he turned and headed back upstairs.

Scorpius leaves the common room and makes a detour to avoid running into people. He sighs before turning to the wall and then punching it. "Fucking hell," he mumbles, pulling his hand away when he realizes how stupid it was to punch a stone wall.

Faye comes down from the Astronomy Tower and into the dungeons, heading for the common room. She stops when she sees Scorpius. He was directly in the pathway to the common room and she couldn't turn back now, because - well - she didn't want to make it obvious that she was avoiding him. She stood there, quite unable to find the gift of speech, "You probably shouldn't hurt your hand like that..." She muttered, not thinking of anything else.

"Yeah, I realize that now thanks," he says with a scowl and shoots her an irritated look. "Go ahead," he says turning around to face the wall. "I'll pretend I didn't see you down here and you can scurry along."

"Why are you being such an ass?" Faye mumbled, having jumped in surprise at the look he had given her and his tone. She found herself glued to the stone and not wanting to head down the hall. She folded her arms and glared at him, "I didn't do anything. You're the one who ended it in the first place."

"You think I wanted to?" he asks turning around and giving her a look in disbelief. "Hate to break it to you, but for some fucked up reason, I like you. Even after all your insults and snarky comments. I didn't want to end something that had lasted only a day, but apparently there were some big issues that neither of us seem to be able to get over."

"You hate liking me. I don't understand that at all," She bit her lip and shook her head, none of it making any sense to her. He had said she wasn't ready for this and he had been the one to end it between them. She had only talked to Gellert, nothing more. Yes, the subject matter was an uncomfortable one, but it wasn't as if she had made out with the guy, "What did you want, then?" She narrowed her eyes, remembering what Gellert had said in the Room of Requirement and praying that he had been wrong, "What big issues are we BOTH not over?"

"I don't hate liking you," he says giving her another irritated look. "I hate myself for how much I do. How much of an effect you have on me. And I think our issues are pretty clear. You think I'm just some sort of 'manwhore' who's only after you for sex. If that were really the fucking case, I could go find somebody else! And I really don't like Gellert," he says crossing his arms. "I don't-I don't trust him."

Faye hated that look he kept giving her. It made her want to throw something at him, "You're saying you're not a manwhore who's just after me for sex and I try to believe you, I do. How am I supposed to know that after I have sex with you, you won't just toss me aside and go after someone else?" She shot him a challenging look, "I know why you don't trust Gellert, but, even when I told you we didn't do anything, you left me. I understand that you may not like him, but just because I have to talk to him doesn't mean that I'm suddenly a terrible person too!" She leaned against her spot on the wall, staring at her cigarette from the other day. She slid down the wall and sat down.

"I left after you told me that Gellert said that you deserved better! I fucking trust you Faye!" he yells. "It's Gellert that's the problem. He's always going to be feeding you all these lines about how I'm "such a manwhore", how I'm "using you", how I "only want a shag". It's only a matter of time before you really start listening to him. And about "tossing you to the side", I'll be completely honest since one of us ought to be, I don't fucking know! You're different though, I've certainly never felt this way. When I think about you, I just feel...weird."

"Weird? That sounds very pleasing. I'm glad I make you feel weird!" Faye shook her head in disbelief. Weird? Really? She wasn't sure whether or not she should be happy about this or disappointed. She rested her head against the stone wall. Why was everything coming down to Gellert? She turned her head to look at him, "'Since one of us ought to be'?!" She snarled, "Are you saying that I'm not being HONEST now? What the hell, Scorpius!" She stood up and walked towards him, "You don't know if you'll toss me aside or not. You don't know if you'll throw me away like a used toy. You don't KNOW? How could you not know?!" She bit her lip and pushed past him, "Don't answer that. Just fuck off."
