Tam stumbled in and sat by the fire. She looked like a mess, her hair had fallen out of it's elegant updo and her tears had caused her makeup to run. As she swiped away more tears she wiped some of her concealer off showing a spread of purple bruises across her cheek and jaw.

Severus walked downstairs, heading for the great hall to get some breakfast. He sees Tam looking rather distraught and sits down next to her. "What happened to you?" he asked, more out of curiosity than concern.

*Tam looked over at him* Why do you care? *she managed a feeble glare before turning away, tears welling up again. She couldn't believe that the only person to offer her comfort was Snape*

"I never said I cared. I just asked you what happened, seeing as you look terrible, and I was curious," he said bluntly. "Though if you don't want to talk, I'll leave you to your misery. I was on my way to get breakfast anyway," he said, standing up to leave.

[Tam dragged Peter out of the dance to have a "discussion" because I had to go.... and the details of said discussion have yet to be worked out.... and it will probably make or break Tater so yeah...]

*Tam swiped away her tears, uncovering more bruises and looked back up a him* Sorry, that was uncalled for. I've just been fighting with too many people recently and it's gotten the better of me.

Severus sighed, and sat back down. Breakfast could wait, even though he was sure there were pancakes, yummy, delicious pancakes. "Who've you been fighting with?" he said, noticing the bruises but not sure if he wanted to pry- if she wanted to tell him, she would.

Not Sirius, at least not this time. It was his brother, Regulus. *She couldn't stand either of them at this point and would like nothing better than to get them both out of the school*

Severus repressed a chuckle at the word 'fuckwit' but was clearly apalled at the thought that someone could actually do that to a girl, and a pathetic one at that. "I mean that you're not exactly a tough cookie, Riddle. You're no Pansy," he said, still focused on being angered by this guy's completely lack of morality.
