Re: The Fireplace
He looked up quickly, his mirror eyes sending glints of light reflecting across the room. "What? Oh, sorry i was thinking out loud...a very human thing to do, so i don't know why i was doing it. Anyway, as i was musing i think we need new spells. They're all so, so boring I mean really the only fun one is Crucio. And maybe Tarantallegra." He rubbed his imaginary goatee thoughtfully. "I'd love to see one that maybe casts some disease, or illusion of bad injury. Ya know, things that can mess with an opponent's mind." He shook his head. "Even though i'm not good at wizard magic, it would be fun to start a whole new spellbook of dueling spells."

Re: The Fireplace
Scorpius hears someone enter the room and lifts his head from the pillow where it is laying to look. He sees Penny who sits in one of the armchairs. Deciding to be friendly he says a polite, "Hello," from where he is still lying.

"Hi" she replies, not coldly, but not in a very friendly way either.

Re: The Fireplace
"Good," Pansy answered Scorpius, hoping she wouldn't ever come between two friends like that. As the, er, boy spoke up again, she turned back to him. As he mentioned crucio, she didn't even attempt to hide her smirk. She knew how enjoyable that one was to use. "New spells... that's true. It's a sad day when it's becoming boring to duel."

"Err, you okay?" he asks trying to make small talk. He attempts to move the bag of ice from his jaw, but finds that the coolness feels much better than nothing.

Re: The Fireplace
Djinn nodded. "I like the way you think. I personally don't need them. Not when i can do this." He pointed to the fire and a flicker of flame jumped away and danced in his palm, slowly turning into Feindfyre. "But mortals like you can't just do things like i can. We should talk on this matter sometime further." he held out a slightly clawed hand. "I'm Djinn, i'm not human and if i call you a mud statue, don't be offended since that's what all of your really are." He smiled and flashed his fangs.

"Blaise punched me in the jaw," he answers a bit irritated at his mates behavior.

Re: The Fireplace
Amycus walked in and sat off to the side of the ongoing conversation and looked around bored. Nothing to do here.

"Yeah, he is," Scorpius answers. "But like I was telling Panslut, I mean Pansy, it's not the first time punches have been exchanged between us."

Re: The Fireplace
Pansy smiled, intrigued as he performed magic she envied. Unconsciously she leaned closer, curious. "We should..." she muttered, watching the flames swirl in his hand. She shrank back a bit at his hand, but not too much "Mud statue? Well I'm Pansy, actually." She shot Scorpius a small glare as her new nickname was used again, but turned back to Djinn as he corrected himself. "Mind game spells..." she mused. Interesting.
Re: The Fireplace
"interesting..." she wondered why the two could have possibly been fighting and what they had been fighting about

Re: The Fireplace
Faye walked into the common room, sitting in a corner. She flashed a smile at Scorpius, but it faded when she noticed something was wrong. She sighed and turned to see someone she didn't know, "Oh, sorry. I'm Faye."

Re: The Fireplace
"Oh, i know you're Pansy. I just don't usually use names all the time, it was just a warning mu- Pansy." he inspected his claws, seeing if they were too sharp or not sharp enough. He leaned forward, shooting a glance at the beautiful blond boy. "And yes, mind-game spells. Can you imagine if it was possible to cast an Illusion so strong you'd have your enemy crying like a babe in fear? I can do it, i can show you how. You just need to help me find the words, so wizards can cast it."

"Yeah, interesting," he mumbles. Scorpius' mood improved as he saw Faye walk into the common room and he gives her small smile. He then sighs as he realizes that Penny is in the room and sees Faye go introduce herself to Amycus.

"You know? How do you... know me already?" He interested her, wondering what powers he had that she could possibly learn herself. It was useless to hide her smirk by now. This was sounding better and better, the kind of power she'd dreamed of. "We could arrange for that."
Re: The Fireplace
Amycus turned toward the girl. He had seen her before but did not yet know her name.
"Faye? That's a nice name. I'm Amycus. You may know my sister, Alecto?"

"I know lots of things. I can teach you quite a few too, if we can find the damned words you wizards use. Hold out your hand." he made a gesture as to pass the Fyre to her. "It won't burn i promise."

Re: The Fireplace
Pansy smiled and held out her hand, eyes narrowing to watch him pass it over to her. She spoke quietly, watching the fire intently. "I can help you with the words, that's no problem."
Re: The Fireplace
The name sounded familiar, but Faye couldn't recall meeting anyone with that name, "Don't think I've met her. I wish I did because I can't contribute much to this conversation."

Re: The Fireplace
He slowly rolled the Fyre over to her held out hand, a look of malicious glee on his face. "Make sure you concentrate on not letting it get away. All fire wants to be a living thing, ya know?" He saw her confused look as she concentrated on the Fyre in her hands. "It tries to emulate living. It breaths, it grows and most importantly it feeds on the living and the dead alike. And Feindfyre is worse. It's more alive than regular flame so make sure you don't let it go. Can you feel it? It's need to feed?" he closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. "It's hard to contain, but powerful. And it wants to live. I wonder what it used to be, Feindfyre..." he mused, to himself.
