"Yes, mate...as in friend," Scorpius answers, recalling his conversation with how Viktor thought mate literally meant "mate". "I'm from England, what about you?" he asks recalling how the odd boy had said "y'all".

"I'm from America. I've lived there since I was little. I guess I didnt realise I would be the one with the accent when I moved here." Crispin chuckled at this thought.

Amycus threw the new kid a weird look. Who doesn't know what 'mate' means?! He turned back to Faye and smiled indulgently. "I love Muse and A Fine Frenzy. Let's see, what to ask next. How about something harder, since you gave me a bit of difficult one. Let's see, let's see," he muttered to himself. His hand picked back up stroking his wand and he missed the nervous glance Faye had given Scorpius. "What would you use Felix Felicis for, if you were given a vial, no strings attached?"

"I'd wait and use it when it was absolutely necessary. Like, before an exam I knew I couldn't pass," Faye replied, as if she had thought about this before. Felix Felicis wasn't something that didn't cross her mind. If she wasn't only half-decent at Potions, she would attempt at brewing herself a batch. As if on demand by Slughorn, the images of the potential consequences flashed through her mind, "Yeah, only when I truly needed it. How about yourself?"

Amycus thought hard. There wasn't anything specific that he would want to use it for. He was good at everything he did, and skittered around the truth that he tended to drop anything he didn't excel at. He thought instantly of sex and how Felix could improve that, not that it needed improving. He decided to censor himself a bit and go with a half truth. "Well, I would probably use it on an average day and just revel in all the lucky things that happened that day." He sat back thoughtfully. "Your turn." He smiled more genuinely than he had thus far. He was really enjoying her company, and this new game he was playing.

Faye's eyebrows raised at his response. It seemed generic, but she accepted it and decided to think of a new question. She placed her elbow back on her knee and rested her cheek in her hand, her free hand tracing designs in the cushion of her chair. Thinking of creative and difficult questions was becoming quite the challenge, "Have you ever wanted to use an Unforgivable on someone?" Her gaze lifted from the cushion to meet his.

"Of course! I mean, I am in Slytherin." He decided to leave out the fact that he had not only thought about it, but actually used one on someone, multiple times. "What about you? You seem innocent enough, but I have no expectations of people anymore."

Draco walked back into the common room and glanced around. Not much had changed, a few new faces but really it was all the same, just how he liked it.

Scorpius' attention jumped to the person who just entered the room. He moved removed the bag of ice that had been resting on his jaw. He gently touched the skin on his jaw and cringed, then put the bag of ice back on it. Under further inspection, he realized that he recognized him. "Draco?" he asked a bit confused, having not seen his cousin in ages.

"I have thought about it before, actually," Faye smirked and shook her head, "I am definitely not as innocent as I seem. I'm just...not as out there as I used to be."

Draco looked over slightly confused then realized, "Scorpius? Hey, how've you been?" He walked over and sat down next to his cousin. They'd always gotten on pretty well but hadn't seen each other for a few years.

Faye felt herself blush at the question, slightly ashamed at what she used to do. Her eyes instinctively set their sights on Scorpius and didn't return to Amycus until she recognized he wasn't paying attention to them anymore, "I used to tease guys and not feel any regrets. I would either go to private raves and grind up on them, or sit on their laps in the common room and make out with them. Sometimes, I even kissed random people I only knew for a day. There's only been one time where I ended up having sex with someone, but that ended up not evolving into anything," She took a deep breath and smiled sheepishly, "Um. I guess, you could say, someone helped me change."

"It is" Draco stood up rather abruptly, "Well I'll see you around." Draco headed up to his dorm, not wanting to see or speak to anyone else.

Scorpius frowns at Draco's sudden leave, but shrugs it off and gets more comfortable on the couch. He then begins to piece together why Draco reacted the way he did. Draco was Blaise's ex-best mate. Draco was Pansy's ex-boyfriend. Scorpius began to wonder how he was going to deal with Blaise his supposed mate and then Draco his cousin.
