James smiled. Fair enough. He wouldn't splash her anymore. "Hello Dorcas Meadowes. And what, might I ask, are you doing this fine, fine day?" He saw Squidly coming over and smiled again. Squidly and the Whomping Willow are like his only friends left. I swear he's going to start befriending Aragog and his creepy kids next.

"I am currently trying to escape the crazy phenomenon of unconsciousness that is spreading around the Hufflepuff dorm. See, it all started in our dormitory when Marlie passed out. Then, Hannah conked out after her nails were done. It continued with our new dormie named Mary, who came with me to the common room, only to pass out down there! It's quite ridiculous..." Dorcas took a deep breath and ran a hand through her hair, "I decided to leave that nonsense and hang out by the lake!" She turned and flashed James a smile, before looking over at Squidly, "AW! I love the squid. I remember crossing over the lake as a first year and everyone telling stories! They were all afraid, but I always thought maybe if people weren't fearful, maybe he'd come out and be friendly!"

Jamesy thinks that that's nothing compared to what's happened to Rose Z, as in a little while she's going to disappear off the face of the planet because she was an epic fail and will not be mentioned here anymore. "Squidly's always been friendly," James said, figuring as JAMES POTTER he knew more about these things than anyone else. "He just has a weird way of showing it." James remembered the time Squidly saw Sirius dunk James in the lake, and decided that looked like fun. James had to rescue Sirius from the bottom of the lake, fighting down the giggles the whole way.

"Yay, Squidly! I didn't even know he came out to meet people. See, I came back to Hogwarts only today, so, I haven't met very many people. I've known Marlie since my first year here, but I barely met my dormies today. I don't know anyone else...it's quite awkward wandering the castle without many friends..." Dorcas' smile faltered and she turned back to look out at the lake, her legs beginning to sway back and forth.

Regulus and Viktor walk out to the dock hand in hand. "At least it's hot and sunny out- a nice day for a swim," he said with a smile, kissing him gently on the lips.

Viktor smiled, still unbelievably happy that he had his Regulus back. "I didn't know you could swim," he said jokingly with a wink.

Regulus rolled his eyes and hugged him tightly, then stripped down to his swimming trunks along with Viktor. He actually looks halfway human now- he's skinny and underfed, but he no longer looks like the undead. It's clear he's recovering.

Regulus smiled and kissed him on the shoulder. "Yes, eating does help. Now let's get in the water, it's too damn hot to hang about here," he said, and proceeded to dive into the lake with a loud splash.

Viktor smiles also dives into the water. He's a good diver. Watch Goblet of Fire. He's amazing. Anyway, he smiles because the first time he met Regulus they went swimming. Back when they were both "straight." Good times with awkward sexual tension.

Eowyn giggles because she was thinking the EXACT SAME THING BEFORE SHE READ THAT POST OF YOURS. OMG TWIN.

Regulus smiles and swims out into the lake, following Viktor and smiling. "You know, I remember the first night we met, we came out here together. You were trying to convince me to flirt with those two girls," he said with a laugh. "I guess we know why that didn't go so well," he chortled.

"Well, let me think, stare at two girls I have never met who seemed slightly mad, or look at the gorgeous, dripping wet, shirtless quidditch player? It's not a hard decision," he said with a wink, wrapping his arms around him in the water and kissing him lightly on the shoulder. "Sometimes I wonder when it was that I started falling for you. I'm thinking it goes back to that first night."

Regulus laughed and kissed him on the cheek, then swam farther out into the water, loving the feel of being out in the cool lake in the heat of the day. "Is that all it takes? Well then, I'll have to hide you from all the other seekers in the world. You're mine, mine, mine. Oh no! Viktor! WHAT IF I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE!? WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME?!"

Regulus grinned and kissed him back lightly, then swam away again to the left side of the lake, where he knew there was a small cove, out of eyesight of others around the area. "Come here," he called after Viktor, and we will now go to our other thread, as I am impatient and need to sleep soon.

Regulus is walking up to the castle, dripping wet from his swim with Viktor and smiling happily to himself and not really entirely aware that he should probably be a bit more self conscious about the fact that Viktor's lips and hands had done quite a job on his neck and torso. He walks over to the dock, where he'd left his shirt earlier and forgotten about it, and smiles when he sees Fabian there. "Hey!" he said with a grin, grabbing his shirt off of the ground.

Fabian turns to smile at Regulus and waves. "Hey Regu--" he stops mid-sentence and quirks an eyebrow. "What's up with..." he trailed off, looking a bit confused, but a bit interested.

Regulus looks confused then looks down at himself and squeaks. Turning RED AS A QUAFFLE BECAUSE EOWYN REALLY DOESN'T THINK SHE'S EVER ACTUALLY SAID THAT, he quickly pulls his shirt on and stares pointedly at anywhere that isn't Fabian. "Right. Lovely. Thanks."
