Regulus looked at him incredulously. "You're sorry? YOU'RE SORRY!? I don't think so. I think you're as far from sorry as you can possibly be. Fuck you, McLaggen. I'd have thought after all these years you might actually give a damn about your friend. But then I guess, we never really were friends, if that's how you feel," he growled, clenching his fists.

Reg looked at him, angry at himself for the surge of pity he felt for his old friend. No. He shouldn't give a damn about Cormac; Cormac didn't care about him in the least, so why should he? But he couldn't help but feel sorry for him, and he sat down beside him, despite his hatred. "I'm sorry," he muttered, trying to decide if he hated Cormac more than he felt bad for him.

"Why?" Cormac didn't care anymore and you could clearly see it on his face. "Shouldn't you be laughing." Cormac sighed quietly and sat up. "I did at your problem."

"Yeah, well, unlike you, I actually was a friend to you, and I still happen to care, even if you don't give a shit about me," he snapped coldly. Also, what's up with everyone getting knocked up?! Regulus looked at him with a stony, emotionless gaze, still conflicted as to whether or not he wanted to kick Cormac's ass to Ireland or to be a supportive friend. "And I don't really see the humor here."

"Well," Cormac didn't move an inch. "I'm sorry Reg." Cormac was filled with sorrow, he didn't know what to do anymore. Life was a mess. "I loved her Reg. I really did. But, this is what's best." A tear came down Cormacs eye.

"You're sorry?!" he scoffed, scowling at Cormac. "Save it for someone who cares and might actually believe you, I don't need that bullshit." Reg had to stop himself from gaping in shock again as a tear slid down Cormac's cheek- Cormac never cried; hell, other than himself, Reg really didn't know any other guy who cried at all.

Regulus got to his feet, instantly regretting even trying to be a friend to him, and clueless as to why he'd bothered. He stared daggers at Cormac's back, wishing he had the nerve to hit him again, but he felt too damn sorry for him to add injury to insult.

Cormac turned around and faced Reg. "You know Reg," Cormac paused. "A few days ago, that would have started a fight." Cormac stepped closer to Reg. "I've grown up lots in the past couple of days. I suggest you do the same."

I'm sick of you and your double standards, your hypocrisy, and the way you just don't give a damn about anyone but yourself, except apparently Penny. Merlin knows you'd have fucked her over eventually anyway, you selfish prick. I have more faith that Marcus will be good to her than I would've believed you would, and considering Marcus, that's fucking pathetic."

"I know Marcus will be better then her Reg." Emotions were flowing over Cormac. "That's why I left her. You can think my apologies are empty. They're not. Reg, to be honest I don't expect you to care after what I did. That's fine. Don't be my friend anymore. I've lost so much I don't even care anymore."

Regulus sighed. "It's your own damn fault that you've lost our friendship. You should never have called me that. I despise you for your hypocrisy, your immaturity, your idiocy. And yet despite all that, I still want your friendship, because that's just the stupid fucking person I am. Take back your words, and maybe we can work this out. Or feel free to just call me a faggot again and leave, like the two faced jerk you are."

Regulus looked at him with pity, feeling his anger slowly fading. He's only doing this because he's that fucking desperate for a friend. Whatever. Asshole. Selfish prick. Reg sighed, and walked over to him slowly, pulling him into a hug- which for once, was not an awkward turtle hug, but a genuine hug, because Regulus had missed his friend, and felt terrible for him. "Fine. I forgive you."
