Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
AND AWKWARD FAILURE OF A SCENE IS AWKWARD AND I END IT BEFORE I DIE OF ALL THE AWKWARD, GOD SNAPE CAN YOU BE ANY LESS OF A SOCIALLY AWKWARD TURTLE???
Severus merely nodded stiffly and collected the last of his things. "Right, well I should be going-- class in a few minutes. I'll see you around," he said, waving as he left to be awkward somewhere else.

"Alright. See you." And then Awkward!Remus just moseyed about the library for a while then took off to be adorable and awkward elsewhere. Yep.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius walks in, annoyed by Severus because that guy is such a woolen wiener jacket. He glances around at all the books...Books. This must be the library that Snape always talks about. He scowls and turns to walk out, but out of the corner of his eyes he spots a very pretty girl looking at the books. Ah, so this is why people come in here. He smiles and walks over, preparing himself to use his trusty Malfoy charm. "My, my, my, looks like I chose a good day to come into the library," he says with a charming grin, taking a moment to let his eyes wander over the front of the girl, having already checked out the back on his way over. "You look a bit lost though. Need any help? I'm sure I could help you find what you're looking for. I'm Lucius, by the way. Lucius Malfoy."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie turns around when she hears a very charming sounding voice talking from behind her. She smiles at the boy who was now standing in front of her and couldn't help but notice how he was extremely attractive. "Umm, Well, Do you know much about Potions books?" She asked. "Or just where to find them?" She asked hopefully. "I'm new here and I don't know where anything is." She said and blushed a bit. "I'm Melanie." She said and nodded. "Melanie McCann."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius just smiled, trying not to think about Severus and his love for potions. It's unnatural. "Nice to meet you, Melanie," he says as he takes her hand in his and lightly places a kiss upon it. "Potions books? I know just the place." He smiles and intertwines their fingers before leading her down the shelves, his eyes darting back and forth until he realizes he has no clue where any of the books are. He lets go of her hand and turns around, putting on his best attempt at a sheepish smile as possible. "Okay. Confession time-- I have no idea where these books are. I've never even been in this room until today. I was just walking by and, well, to be perfectly honest, I just needed an excuse to talk to you," he says, quickly reading this girl and realizing that he's going to have to play the part if he wants to get her interested.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie's face turned a bit pinkish as he kissed her hand, he was just so sweet and sincere. "Oh, Yay!" She said happily as he said he knew where the books were. She followed closely behind him and then gave him a bit of a confused look when he said he had a confession. She cocked her head slightly to the side as he explained his whole little, needing to talk to her thing and grinned at him. "Really?" She asked grinning at him. "You just came in here to talk to me?" She said, pretty excited at this little ordeal. Poor girl had no idea he was such a LYING BUMBLING BABOON.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius couldn't help but smirk at her reaction. Not a cruel, arrogant smirk, more like an amused expression. This was just too easy. "Guilty," he said with a chuckle as he leaned against the bookshelf. "So tell me, Melanie- Why haven't I seen you around before? Another new student, or have you just been hiding from me up in the Ravenclaw tower?"

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie grinned at him. "Yeah, I'm a new student." She said and smiled. "My sister and I just transfered here from The Salem Witches' Institute." She said kind of quickly because most people have never heard of her school, it had a small graduating class. "My sister and I just started school here at Hogwarts about a week ago." She said smiling at him. "So, You're not in Ravenclaw then.." She stated since he said the comment about her hiding in Ravenclaw tower. "You're probably not a Hufflepuff because I've heard they are useless and all spares and you don't seem like either of those." She said, not even thinking about how awkward that would be if he was a Hufflepuff. LOLWHUT. "So, That leaves Gryffindor and Slytherin." She said smiling at him. "So, Which house are you in, Lucius?"

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
"Slytherin," he answers with a smirk, grinning as she informed him that she had a sister as well. "My whole family has been in that house, so it wasn't much of a surprise when I got sorted in as well. So, if you're a Ravenclaw shouldn't you already know where all the books in here are?" he teased lightly. "I'm sure you've figured out the stereotypes by now, and realized that the library is your second common room if you're a Claw."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
She smiled and blushed a bit when he said she should already know where the books are since she was a Claw. She nodded when he said the thing about the stereotypes. "Yeah, I've heard about them." She said nodding. "But one thing I did hear about them is that Slytherin's are all bad and I should just stay away from them all as much as possible." She said, looking up at him and smiling sweetly. "Have anything to say about that?" She asked curiously because Lucius seemed like such a nice guy.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius chuckled, not surprised that she had only heard bad things about Slytherins. Some girls were turned off by it, though a lot of them seemed to have a thing for bad boys. "Oh, whoever told you to stay away from Slytherins obviously doesn't want you having a good time. I wouldn't call us bad. No, that's not the word I would use. We just know what we want, and we don't always play by the rules. Now does that sound so bad to you?" he asked, batting his eyes for good measure.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie gave him a smile as he said the part about having a good time, she did occasionally like to have a good time. When she didn't have a test to study for, or an essay to do. She shook her head. "No...That doesn't sound so bad at all." She said still smiling at him. "I'd also like you to know that I don't quite fit the perfect Ravenclaw stereotype." She said, a small smile still crossing her lips. "I would rather be having a good time somewhere than to be locked up in the library reading books and writing essays."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
“Well, I’m glad to hear that,” he said with a naughty little grin, unable to look anything but pleased the more he talked to this girl. “Looks like we have that in common, Melanie. I’d much rather be off having a good time, though I came to the library today and ended up meeting you which certainly isn’t a bad way to spend my time.”

Melanie returned the grin and nodded as he said they have something in common. "Well, I'm glad you don't think meeting me is a waste of time." She said with a smile, because some people at this school were just downright mean. -cough- MarcusFlint -cough- He'smeantoher -cough- Hedoesn'tlikeher -cough-

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius is shocked that someone would be rude to Melanie. Well, it was probably some jealous girls actually. "Wait, was someone at this school rude to you? Because if they were, let me assure you that it was only because they were obviously jealous." Lucius really can be charming when he wants something.

"Well, This guy just glared at me because I asked him a question about where the Ravenclaw Tower was, and then he told me to ask someone who cares and he walked away." She said and shrugged. "I don't know, Maybe he was just having a bad day?"

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
"Oh, now that's just terrible. Some guys around here are just douchebags, sadly," he said with a false sympathetic smile. "If only you had met me your first day here. I would have made an excellent tour guide."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie returned the smile when he said how some guys were just douchebags. She was glad she had now met a few nicer guys than Marcus, Lucius being one of them. Jaja. "Oh, I'm sure you would have been an excellent tour guide, Lucius." She said with a grin. "But unfortunately we met too late and I had to find all my classes and the Ravenclaw tower and the library all on my own." She said with a sigh.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
"That's a shame. I could have showed you much more than your classes and the tower. Hogwarts has quite a few hidden rooms that I would have loved to show to you," he said with a grin, totally not meaning anything by showing her secret rooms. Nope. Melanie is actually Nev, who is Luna's sister, so that would just not be right.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Yup. That would be weird. Awkward turtle weird. "Oh, Hidden Rooms?" She asked nodding. "Sounds pretty exciting." She said with a grin and then looked over to her left. "Oh! What do you know!" She said, looking at the books next to her. "The potions books have been here the whole time. Looks like you do know your way around the library." She said with a grin.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius looked at the book in awe. Honestly, could he get anymore amazing than he already was? It was incredible. He even surprised himself sometimes. "Huh. Guess I do. Funny the things you're capable of when you're talking to a pretty girl," he said with a charming smile.

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Maybe if he like gave her a puppy. That would make him more amazing. I AM JUST SAYING. She smiled at him when he said the part about talking to a pretty girl. It made her blush slightly that such an attractive guy thought she was pretty. She looked back at the books and skimmed the titles. "Ah ha!" She said and grabbed one. "Just the one I needed."

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Lucius is rich, he could so afford to buy a girl a puppy if it meant he'd get something in return. "Well, I'm glad to be of assistance," he said with a grin as he watched her get the book off the shelf. "Is there anything else you need help with? Anything at all?"

Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf
Melanie likes puppies. She grinned at him. "Not unless you feel like writing a potions essay for me." She said with a hopeful look on her face.
