Re: Dock by the Lake
"Well, I do have a soft spot for the Squid, so I'm glad to hear that," Lily says. Then she smiles, because a picnic on a boat seems like a perfect idea. She's perfectly capable of getting into the boat all on her own, but she takes Gideon's hand anyway. "Thanks," she says, and settles herself carefully in the little boat.

Or he saw Molly... Sorry, back to ninjaville bigtime. Molly greams. "That's good. I've been, like, super awesome. Cold today," she comments, pulling her jacket tighter around her little frame. "So, plans for Christmas?"

I fail bigtime
Family movie now so off to drool over Leo DiCaprio. Sure you understand.
"It is a bit chilly. No real plans, home with the family, making christmas dinner for the world and his wife. You?"

Oh, I understand. XD
"That sounds fun," Molly says with a shrug. "I'll totally be making Christmas dinner for whoever is around too, I'm just, like, not sure of the location yet because I haven't talked to my brother to see if he's staying here or going home, yet. No matter what everyone else does, Gid and I always make sure we're in the same place for Christmas. Mostly I think he just follows the food, but votever," she shrugs.

"I would follow your cooking." Ted nodded, "So what sort of food do you cook for christmas? My gram insists on the traditional, the goose, yorkshire puddings, sage and onion stuffing, the whole nine yards. Oh and I always tack on a pumpkin pie, just because I love it."

Re: Dock by the Lake
Molly smirks. She's like the pied piper, only with cooking. Yeah. "I've, like, not bothered with goose for years. We seem to be a family of pig-people. Which is kinda fitting, because my brothers totally eat like pigs. Glazed ham and roast pork is totally always on the menu. My roast pork is the best ever except for Mya's Daddy's roast pork. And pudding and Christmas cake. Sometimes trifle, too - it's a miracle we're all still so fit because we totally eat enough on Christmas day to hibernate for, like, the next year!"

Tam would like to inform Mya that she is a trifle making BEAST and makes a giant one every year and loves her for bringing it up.

Re: Dock by the Lake
OMG WE SHOULD. Ted nodded, "Thank you! Someone else who hates those veggies! I honestly can't eat them, I make carrots and peas for the rest of us normal people. I don't even put any on my plate." Tam would like Mya to know she's very proud and she's forcing her parents to buy ingredients in Belize so she can make gingerbread and mince pies. Also Tam would like Mya to know that all of this is pretty much exactly her christmas at home except for roast beef instead of goose.

Re: Dock by the Lake
Molly giggles. "I plate everything up for everyone too, and then put the leftovers on the table because I learned the hard way that Gid and Fay are, like, not above brawling on top of my perfectly set table for first dibs on the pork, and then something breaks, and then I'm just, like, forced to stab them with my stilettos and it's a bit much for a Christmas feast." Mya thinks Tam is awesome and wishes she could share her gingerbread and mince pies. Mya should make some of those, actually, because Andrew LOVES mince pies. Mya would like Tam to know that it depends on which Christmas meal they're at with which family as to what they get, but usually it's cold ham and roast pork and om nom nom.

Re: Dock by the Lake
Ted chuckled, "I don't plate it. We do a banquet style thing so it's a free for all on the other side of the room. Otherwise no one gets to eat for passing things around. If someone gets unruly though I generally settle for slapping with crackers." Tam thinks she should probably send Mya her from-scratch pie crust recipe and thinks that Mya should make mini mince pies because bite size is better.

Re: Dock by the Lake
"That must be really pretty," Molly smiles. "And see, I'd totally love to do that, but, y'know... two brothers. And they're both bigger than me and, like, a cracker-slap probably isn't going to do much," she shrugs. Not that she doesn't rule with an iron fist when needs be, of course, because we all know Molly is in charge. Mya thinks Tam should definitely send her that recipe, yes she does.

Re: Dock by the Lake
"True, cracker-slaps work in my house because everyone knows if they don't listen to me when I cracker-slap them then Gram will step in and they'll be in big trouble." Ted has the power because his grandma loves him the best. Tam will be sure to send it over to Mya asap. Possibly a photocopy with her SPN magazine. Also Tam wants to know if Mya wants the pumpkin pie recipe too.

Re: Dock by the Lake
Molly gets the giggles at the mental image of Ted's Gram (who is teeny tiny looking in Molly's head) giving everyone else what for when they don't obey the cracker-slap. Mya just thinks cracker-slap is a hilarious sounding word. "I bet that, like, totally keeps them all in line. I suppose I could just threaten not to cook for them anymore to keep my family out of trouble, but, like, why should I suffer? 'Sides, we've yet to come across a situation the fire department can't fix, so it's all good," she greams. Mya is very happy to hear that and will now go sit at the letterbox. Mya would also LOVE the pumpkin pie recipe, so she can find out what pumpkin pie tastes like.

Re: Dock by the Lake
Ted's Gram is really tiny in Tam's head too. Just for comic effect. Tam is also going to use the word Cracker-slap in real life some time because it is awesome. "The fire departement is really useful, especially the year my little cousin tried to flush my aunt's ham down the loo for no apparent reason and flooded the house. That was exciting." Tam will send Mya all of it together and wishes she could send a homemade pie because her pies are made to a very exacting Dean Winchester Approval standard.

Re: Dock by the Lake
Tiny!Gram does make it funnier. Mya's goal is to work "cracker-slap" into a conversation at some point this Christmas. Mya and Tam are such twins. Molly doesn't know whether to be gleeful or horrified at the abuse towards food, but she settles for amused, because Ted had said the ham was too smokey anyway, so his little cousin must've been doing the family a favour. "Good thing he picked the too-smokey meat instead of the goose," she laughs. "At least our fire department knows that I make the call-out worth their while - all it's taken is a few, well ok, a few hundred, baking expeditions on my part, but they've been pretending that Gideon is, like, old enough to sign paperwork and stuff for years. I figure it's nice to sort of avoid them on Christmas Day, though, give 'em a bit of a break," she laughs. Mya is just going to sit here with her mouth watering, thinking of Dean Winchester and pie.

Re: Dock by the Lake
"If he had tried to flush my goose he would have been slapped with more than a cracker I can tell you right now. No one touches that goose. And that's nice of you, most of our crisises are on christmas day but the rest of the year we aren't too bad, we only ever have to call them for major family reunions." Tam now wants Dean and Pie right now. Together.

Re: Dock by the Lake
"I totally know how you feel. If anyone tried to flush one of my Christmas dishes -not that anyone who has ever tried my cooking, or even heard of it, would be that stupid- I would, like, use my stilettos as hooks and tear their ribcage open," she chirps happily. "We haven't been to a family reunion since the Golf Cart Incident, but votever. Their loss. I bet the reunions are so boring now that they, like, don't even need the fire department anymore. That's just sad, really." Mya's tummy just grumbled at that.

Re: Dock by the Lake
"The golf cart incident?" Ted is intrigued, "And all this talk of killing people with heels, I think I finally understand why girls wear them." Ted is extremely amused by Molly and her enthusiasm, it's nice to meet someone else who injures people for food related offenses. Tam is making mince pies on Friday. She really wants a cadbury's bar now. Right now.
