Neville nodded. "Yeah she is." he said and smiled at her. "So have you gotten back to your classes yet?" He asked curiously. "Did you do work over break so you are all caught up?"

Hannah nodded, "My dad had it arranged so that they'd owl me all the work. It was ridiculous. I probably spent more time doing homework than anyone at school."

Neville nodded. "Yeah, Well, I would imagine you did. If you didn't spend anytime in classes then that would seem like more homework." he said nodding.

Hannah nodded, "It really sucked. Though, I wasn't expecting anything less. Last time I missed school I think it was worse." The last time Hannah had been out of school was last year, when her mother had died.

"Yeah." He said nodding. "I imagine it would have been." he said quietly. Neville didn't really know how Hannah handled missing school because her mother died. His parents accident happened way before he even started school so that was one thing he couldn't relate to.

"Good." Neville said with a large smile. "I can't have you leaving me when I only have a few months left."

Hannah smiled, "Don't worry, I won't. You'll have to put up with me for the next few months, I intent to spend as much time with you as possible. Plus, we have the whole summer."

"Yeah, that is true." he said nodding and smiled at her. "You better visit me over your winter break next year too. You can't just go off to school and disappear."

Hannah nudged him playfully, "Of course I will, we've talked about this. I won't forget about you. You're my best friend." She smiled up at him, "And I would be incredibly bored if I didn't write you."

Neville grinned at her. "Good, You'll have to write me about how my garden is doing since you will be the one taking care of it when I am gone. Right?" He asked with a grin.

Hannah laughed, "I did say that, didn't I? Yeah, I'll take care of it. Like it's a baby. Maybe I'll even give each plant a name and sing to them, hmm?"

Hannah stared at him in shock, "You can't be serious. I mean, I can understand naming them. But you can't expect me to sing to them!" Actually, it wouldn't be such a big deal to go down there with her guitar once a week.

Neville blinked at her a few times. "Oh, well, I thought you were being serious." He said with a very serious face. "But I mean, it's not a huge deal if you don't sing to them I suppose." He said staring at her.

Hannah sighed, "Well, it wouldn't be that big a deal. But... I don't have to sing to them, do I? Like, direct it at them? Can't it be more of a... singing around them kind of deal?"

Neville nodded. "Yeah. That will work out just fine." He said with a small smile. Neville sings to his plants sometimes, only when he is alone with them though.

"I could do that, I guess." Hannah told him, debating on whether or not to learn songs specifically on plants. She supposed any old song would be fine. "So, do you sing to your plants now? Or do you bring someone in for that?" She asked, recalling that she had never heard him sing before.

"I sing to them." He said quietly and then paused. "When we are alone." That sounds kind of creepy.

Hannah nodded, "I wouldn't want to deprive them of anything when you're gone, so I suppose I'll have to." She smiled, "Any other weird rituals I should know about? Do they go to church on sundays?"

Neville blinked at her a few times. "They can't go to church on Sundays!" he said flailing his arms. "If you take them out of the ground they will die!" He said dramatically.

"Okay, sorry. Don't worry, I'll follow all of your rules." She told him, making a mental note to make her sarcasm more obvious in the future. "Your plants are in good hands."

"Good." Neville said with a smile and a small nod. "I wouldn't want to get an owl from Professor Sprout saying all of your plants are dead." He said very seriously. "I would be extremely upset."
