Demelza was wandering around the grounds to no particular place, then came across the apple trees. She grabbed a big, juicy one and sat down under a shady tree to eat it.

After staying up all night followed by spending the first day of weekend asleep, Aurelia was in a mostly awake state and ridiculously hungry. So, off to the apple trees it was. Just as she grabbed a wonderfully ripe one, she spotted a vaguely familiar face, and after a moment, smiled and waved. "Hey, Dem!" She walked over to the other girl, smiling.

Demelza looked up and saw Aurelia. "Hi Aurelia!" She then took a bite out of her apple. When she had finished eatng it she continued to talk. "How are you going? What have you been up to?" She asked.

Shrugging, she replied "Not much. Reading and studying as always, mostly. Went to that singles thing briefly. What about you?" Aurelia kept her eyes mostly on the other girl, occasionally turning them to the apple she was eating when she wasn't talking.

"The same basically. Reading, studying and going to the the singles mixer. Especially studying though, as OWLs are this year. There is so much work! I honestly have no idea how I am keeping up with it!" Demelza said before taking another bite of her apple.

"More studying?" Aurelia sighed. "Not much we can do though, eh? Hope we don't get too bogged down in assignments. What with all the potions and history of magic work, even the more interesting charms and transfiguration work seems dull!"

"I know, its horrible! Even the fun subjects are becoming terrible! I've gotta tell you, I'll sure be glad when all the exams are finished and out of the way. Then we can relax and have a nice break! I'm looking forward to that."

"It'll be fantastic. First week: Sleeping. Sleeping and relaxing and doing nothing. " She laughed, enjoying the thought. "Maybe the teachers are doing this on purpose, trying to make it so we'll never sleep again. Or something. "

"Ohhhh, doesn't that sound great right now. It has been so long I don't even remember what relaxing is!" She then took another bite of her apple. "Yeah they probably are. Trying to make us get no sleep. Probably payback for all those times they have had to stay up marking our work in previous years."

"At least we have weekends, sunny days, and apples. " Aurelia took a large bite of her apple, forcing her to pause for a bit to chew and swallow. "Not our fault they was two feet of parchment from hundreds of kids, mind you. "

"Indeed! Fresh air and apples shall not, even prior to exams, be denied us!" She exclaims, before loudly chomping a bit of the apple.

Demelza giggled. "No they shall not! We need a few good things left in our lives during exam time!" she said, then took another bite of her apple. "We also have our friends. People to stick with during these times of despair!" Dem exclaimed.

"Ugh, good idea. Hey, have you ever wondered if there are ONLY apple trees here? For example, why aren't there pear trees? Or peach trees?" Aurelia said, tossing her apple core away. "Or are there, and they just elude us? What do you think, Dem?"

Demelza took the final bite of her apple then threw it away. "I don't know. There could be. I mean, why would they just have apple trees? Some people might not like apples, so they must have some other trees somewhere. We probably just don't know where they are. Maybe the are hidden away so only the non apple eaters can have them. If they do thats not fair. Other people might want some other fruit as well."

"Hm...such a shame, hiding them away...Fruit is made to be eaten!" Aurelia comment, looking around. "Where are they, do you think? They've got to be around here somewhere..."

"I don't know." Demelza said looking around. "They are probably hidden away somewhere in the forest, or maybe only no apple eaters can see them. Its a bit of a waste though. All that great fruit and only non apple eater being able to have it. I wonder what different fruits there would be there." Demelza wondered.

Rabastan walks merrily down to the apple trees, hands in pockets and whistling a jaunty tune. He is here because he's only been in Slytherin House so far and needs fresh air. So he's down in the apple trees when he spots a large, sexy man nomming on an apple. Rabastan strolls to the tree were sexy man is sitting and plucks an apple off the tree himself. "Hello there," he says.

Viktor looks up at the Slytherin, grinning because he likes what he sees. "Hey," he says happily before taking a bite of his apple. "I'm Viktor," he introduces, thinking that it makes sense to know each other's names before having a conversation.

"Stan," he says because Milli thinks it would be funny if Viktor knew him by that name. "Mind if I join you?" he asks, but without really waiting for an answer, he plops down on the ground, sitting criss cross apple sauce. He takes a bite out of his apple and says, "Viktor? As in Krum?" Stan would very much hope so because he would very much like to know a famous Quidditch player and he hopes that Viktor is not straight. <.<

Viktor smiles and nods in reply to both his questions, though he already sat down. Votever. "Stan. Nice name," he says politely, wondering why it sounds familiar. He watches Stan's lips as he takes a bite of the apple, forgetting that he should be having a conversation for a moment. Oh whoops. He looks back up at Stan's eyes because that's what you do when you talk to someone. Then again, you talk to people's mouths so it would make sense to look there too, just saying. "And how has your day been going, Stan?"
