Re: The Apple Trees
Molly laughs. "OhmyGod! I love her hat! It totally makes a statement, like, 'I'm so stern I don't even care how stupid I look, you're not allowed to laugh' or something. Wizards as a rule, like, totally fail at dressing like muggles, you know? Huh? Oh, yeah, some of those would be neat," she says with a grin, holding her bag open and waiting because now she's pretty much got her own apple picker, she doesn't need to worry about summoning them for herself. "That must've been pretty wicked to see, though. I mean, magic is just so normal to me since I've been around it all my life. Especially with all the mischief my siblings would get up to - our parents got kinda good with memory charms because Gid and Fay used to get all excited about stuff and do magic in front of all the muggle kids."

Re: The Apple Trees
He grabbed some of the juicy ripe apples and places them gently into her bag, careful not to bruise them. "I have to say that sometimes it still surprises me. What kind of things did they do in front of the muggle kids?" He couldn't imagine seeing most of this when he was younger but then again, most of it would have been brushed off as imaginary so maybe he had seen magic. Maybe he had always seen magic.... WOW THIS CONVERSATION IS A MINDFUCK.

Re: The Apple Trees
LMAO I LOVE YOU TWIN. Molly greams at how gently Ted is handling the apples and then shrugs. "They've always had a thing for, like, making things fly whether they should or not, you know? Which is why now they're older, they've got flying motorbikes," she says lightly. NBD. "So what did you do as a kid if you weren't making stuff fly?"

Re: The Apple Trees
Ted laughed and arched an eyebrow at the flying things. "Well.... I wish I had been making things fly but unfortunately I couldn't do that until I was eleven. I guess I did sport and hung out with my friends. It seems odd to me, the idea of growing up with magic. I mean I guess so many people here did but it seemed like such a coming of age thing that being born into a magical family seems wild to me." He shrugged and looked around, "See any others you want?" ALSO TED WOULD LIKE TO TELL MOLLY THAT SHOULD SHE LIKE COMPANY WHILE SHE BAKES HE WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP BAKE!

Re: The Apple Trees
Molly tilts her head to the side and twirls a strand of red hair around her fingers. "Huh. I totally never thought about it as a whole 'coming of age' thing. Neat!" she chirps, because she thinks it's kinda cool how you can look at the same thing so differently. "I played sport a little bit when I was younger too, but not so much now. Now it's more knitting and baking and other cool stuff when I hang out with my family," she says with a gream, because while she generally followed Gideon around and did whatever he did as a little girl, now she thinks that sports and five inch heels are non-mixy entities, and she really kinda needs those extra five inches... She glances in her very full bag and shakes her head. "No, I think we're totally good for now. There is gonna be, like, so much stuff coming out of this lot! I hope you'll take some off my hands," she says, because dear Mol just loves to bake for people. MOLLY WOULD LIKE TED TO KNOW THAT SHE WOULD LOVE HIS COMPANY IN THE KITCHEN, BUT HE WILL NEED TO PASS HER INDUCTION PROGRAM FIRST, OTHERWISE HE HAS TO SIT IN THE CORNER AND NOT TOUCH ANYTHING WHILE KITCHEN COMMANDER MOLLY IS IN CHARGE. *nods*

Re: The Apple Trees
Ted was very amused by Molly and was intrigued that he had met another person in the past few days who liked knitting, "Is knitting some sort of new craze now? You're the second person I've met recently who knits." Seeing how full the bag was he, like any gentleman would, took it from her, "So are you heading back to the tower or are you going to bake now?" He hoped she was baking so he could get some food from her. AND TED IS CURIOUS WHAT HER INDUCTION PROGRAM IS BUT IS FAIRLY CERTAIN HE CAN PASS IT.

Re: The Apple Trees
"Oh thanks," Molly greams as he takes the bag from her hands. "I know - there's, like, heaps of guys around here that are totally getting into knitting! I don't even know what that's all about. I've been knitting since I was, like, five or something. My grandmother taught me since I'm totally the only person in our whole household who doesn't completely fail at domesticity. Oh... I might do a bit of baking now, I've got a little time since apple picking went faster than I thought it would," she says with a gream. "Are you headed that way? HE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE!

Re: The Apple Trees
"I was going to, are you willing to let someone else into your magical kitchen?" He smiled at her as they walked back towards the castle, "I've got to say I don't think I've ever really cooked with magic, it always seemed almost like cheating somehow... well more cheating myself seeing as magical food always tastes delicious but I just like the sensory aspects of cooking and I don't really see how it could be fun to make magic knead the bread instead of you." He was starting to babble. Dammit Molly Prewett. TED WOULD LIKE TO SAY BRING IT ON!

Re: The Apple Trees
Molly smirks slightly as they head back towards the castle. "If you, like, pass the induction," she informs him. "I sort of run a tight ship in my kitchen - you have to when you're in an entire family of people who can blow things up almost just by looking at them. And puh-lease, as if I'd ever cook with magic. Hate to disappoint you or votever, but I cook and bake the muggle way, which is why my food is better than the house elves' food. Baking is an experience, you know and it, like, totally isn't worth as much if you don't get your hands dirty," she enthuses as they walk off in the direction of the kitchens.

Re: The Apple Trees
I could write out a long sad post for this, but Dom only has an hour and I doubt James cares about how Al is feeling anyway...So Al is here. In his pink glasses, looking not as sad as he did before, but still sad. Yep.

Of course Jamesy doesn't give a shit. Though, he did hate seeing his brother upset. "Albie...you still have those stupid things?" James asked, wrinkling his nose in slight disgust as he made his way over to where he had spotted his little brother. "I think that Lily will want them back one of these days."

Re: The Apple Trees
Al and Scorpius always wear their awesome matching glasses, so James can just go fly a kite. Normally Al would have laughed and made some witty mark, but he's really not in the mood. "Very funny," he muttered as he scooted over, assuming that James intended on sitting down.

Re: The Apple Trees
James was slightly put off when Al didn't make any sort of comment back, but shrugged it off and sat down next to his brother. "What's got your panties in a knot?" he asked. "Normally you'd try and come with a reply that was funny, yet in actuality was ten times lamer than mine."

Re: The Apple Trees
Al shrugged and slid the container with the cherry pie from Remus over to James, knowing that James was a huge fan of snacks. "Nothing. It's just been an interesting week. Here, a friend made this. I thought you might want the rest," he says, deciding that it'd be best to not tell James anything. Not yet, anyway.

Re: The Apple Trees
James' eyes lit up when his brother gave him food. "I knew there was a reason I came over here!" he said excitedly, popping the top of the container open and digging in. "Why ishh innser-sting," he asked through a full mouth of pie.

Re: The Apple Trees
Al couldn't help but laugh as he watched James being to devour the pie, sliding his glasses up on top of his head as he shrugged off James' question. Telling Scorpius about his feelings was quickly starting to become one of his biggest regrets, and he didn't want to make things worse by telling James as well. "Scorpius just got a new dog...Koala thing in the dorm. I don't know if he likes me or not," he lied, hoping that this would be interesting enough to keep him from telling James the truth about his week.

Re: The Apple Trees
"A dog-koala thing?" James repeated after swallowing the bit of pie in his mouth. "Well, that doesn't seem like that big of a deal. I mean, dogs can be really weird sometimes and only like certain people. I wouldn't take it personally though. You know...I always wanted a dog. It's a shame that dad apparently has bad memories of them according to mum."

Re: The Apple Trees
Hehehehe XD
"Yeah, I usually like dogs, though I'm not sure this thing Scorp got even is a dog. I mean, it's blue..." He shrugs and pulls his knees up against his chest, resting his head on his knees as he looks over at James. "So, what have you been up to? We haven't really talked much since term started."

Re: The Apple Trees
"Blue? Sounds ridiculous," James replied while shaking his head. He took another large bite, being sure to swallow before answering his brother. "I've been trying to sweet talk my way into getting this girl to go on a date with me, but it's not quite working. Something about being cocky and persistent... she doesn't like it. So, I think I'll give up on Mandy. I mean, there are plenty of other beautiful girls out there, right? Have you finally found yourself one?"

Re: The Apple Trees
Al let his glasses fall back over his eyes as the subject turned to girls. Deal with it. "Poor Mandy. I'm sure you'll find a new girl to stalk within the week," he teased, glad that his brother was enjoying the pie because it'll keep him distracted for now. "Nope. I'm thinking that I'll be like a cat lady, but with dogs...I can't stand cats. I'll just grow old with my 27 dogs running around the place, and the little plates hanging on the walls with pictures of all of them. I hope you'll visit. Maybe I'll name one of the dogs after you. A Dalmation named Jem, doesn't that sound nice?"

Re: The Apple Trees
"It's not stalking," he huffed, annoyed that his brother seemed to interpret it as so. "Stalking and pursuing are two completely different things." He looked at his brother for a moment, wondering why in the name of Merlin's right saggy ball Al didn't seem to have an interest in changing his current lack of love life. It was almost, kind of, pathetic. "I hope you aren't serious," he replied, taking another bite of pie before continuing. "Dogs poop everywhere and that's a lot of shit to clean up. A DALMATIAN?!" he gasped, not liking the suggestion. "Hey, if you're going to name a dog after me, it has to be manly and sexy and large and tough!"

Re: The Apple Trees
"Of course I'm not serious," he said, rolling his eyes as he shook his head. He really had no interest in telling his straight brother about his current love life, which was actually a lot worse off than usual. Maybe he should just date that Stan guy in the dorm, just to shut everybody up. "And to honestly answer your question, no...There's no one. There was this one girl, but I highly doubt things are going to work out," he said, thinking of Penny. Yeah, so much for that now that he knows he's gay and all.
