James was more than relieved that his brother wasn't going to end up all alone. It would be extremely pathetic. He supposed that that was what happened when the older brother was just positively sexier and awesomer than the other. He must have taken all of the awesome genes so that Al got none. "Oh, that's a shame Albie," he said, giving his brother a sad smile. Poor Al had no game with the bitches. "If you need me to, I can help you get a girl. I could could give you lessons and everything."

Of course Al doesn't have mad game with the bitches. He's got mad game with a particular Malfoy. Or at least, he will. And Scorpius is ten times better than any bitch out there. "Please, I don't need your help. I have my own way of fucking things up, I don't need you to make them worse," he said, an attempt at teasing his brother though he found it hard when he really wasn't in the teasing mood.

James gasped in mock horror, dropping the fork into the now empty pie container. "Make...things...worse?! What kind of gillyweed have you been smoking! I would never make things worse! Girls flock to me. Well, except Mandy. She's an exception. Other than that though....I'VE GOT EXCELLENT GAME. Really Al...I think you could learn a lot from me if you gave your amazing older brother a chance."

"Trust me. You would not be able to help me, Jem." Not unless James is good with guys, which Al highly doubts. "Why do you care so much anyway? I don't see how my love life has any effect on you whatsoever. So you can go have your fun with the ladies, and just leave me to...Do my own thing," he grumbled, because he honestly doesn't even know what he wants. Well, he does know, he's just denying it for now.

"Once again...I wonder what the hell has got your panties in such a twist," he said, shooting his brother an irritated look. "What the hell is with you? I'm not stupid Al, despite how many time you claim that I am. Whatever the hell is going on and has got you in a this nasty, childish fun, is not because of a dog. I sure hope that you aren't treating everyone else in your life like this. Merlin knows you need the friends," he muttered, not giving two shits if his blow was below the belt.

"Excuse me? You know, I don't see how you have friends yourself, seeing as your a complete jerk all the time," he retorted, glaring at his older brother. "And I don't expect you do understand, James. You're fucking impossible to talk to, so how can you expect me to be able to tell you anything? Even if I did tell you, you wouldn't understand. Just...enjoy the fucking pie, James. I'll see you around," he muttered as he stood up, grabbing his bag as he started to walk off.

"Fine Al!" James called angrily after his brother. "Just walk away and hide in those fucking dungeons! Go and talk to the few friends that you have, like that Malfoy bloke!" He glanced down at the container, frustration radiating within him, then threw it at a tree. He closed his eyes for a moment, gathering his emotions, before picking it up again to take with him to the castle. Wow the Potter boys are moody. They must get it from their father. He gave Al a few minutes, not wanting to run into his brother right now, then headed up to the Gryffindor common room.

Melanie is wandering the grounds, she is new to the school this year so she doesn't know where all the cool hang out spots are, or who the cool people are. So really, someone could just walk up to her and say 'I'm popular!!' and she would probably be like 'Omg! That is so cool, let's be friends!'. She is walking here, under the trees and she jumps up and grabs an apple off of one of the tree's. She looks at it and then takes a bite out of it. Yum. She chews it and swallows it and then she just looks around at the surroundings that she is in. She's been pretty bored ever since she came to Hogwarts, since she didn't really know anybody yet so she never had anyone to meet up with or talk to, other than her sister, Claire.

[CUE FUTURE FRIEND!]

Peter came down the grounds, relieved to get out of the castle and get some fresh air. What can he say, a rat loves fresh air sometimes. Deciding to go to one of his favourite spots for a bit of a snack, he made his way over to the apple trees. Freezing, he spotted a girl sitting there. He wasn't the type of guy to go and claim he was popular, for he just wouldn't want to embarrass himself if someone were to actually know who he was. Biting his lip, he decided that he wasn't going to put off getting an apple because a girl was there. "Sorry," he mumbled, going over and disturbing her quiet. "I just...I'm gonna grab an apple real quick and then disappear...because I don't want to be in your way and annoy you," he said while reaching up and grabbing an apple off the tree. That task wasn't very easy though and he ended up having to jump a couple time before he managed to grab one off a branch. When he finally grasped one, he had to tug on it a bit to get it to come off, a few other apples falling off in the process of tugging. "Oh no!" he cried, falling to the ground and hoping to save the apples.

Melanie turned around when she heard someone talking to her and smiled at the little boy. "Oh, you don't need to apologize." She said smiling. "It's fine...Really." She said and took another bite of her apple. Looking around at the grounds, it really was pretty here at Hogwarts. She hadn't really been paying attention to the boy who apologized to her for just grabbing an apple, which she though was quite odd that he did, and it also made her wonder if everyone here at Hogwarts was like that. She made note to apologize to someone if she ever had to walk by them or something and they were all alone because now, because of Peter, she though that was what they did here. As she heard him let out a cry and then a small thud as he hit the ground she jumped up and ran over to him. She kneeled down next to him. "Oh my gosh, are you alright?" She asked, helping him pick up the apples. "Here, let me help you." She said, grabbing some of the apples that had fallen.

Peter was more than embarrassed when the girl came over to help him. "I'm so sorry. I'm just...really clumsy," he said, picking up the apples and hoping that they didn't bruise. He glanced at one, a sad expression on his face, when he noticed a big dent in it. Poor apple. "I mean...I'm definitely the clumsiest out of my friends. Sirius and James are pretty graceful....Remus is so composed...then there's me. Peter. I tend to mess things up real easily," he admitted. He realized he was talking quite a bit and soon flushed. "Didn't mean to interrupt your quiet time," he said to the girl, unable to help but notice how pretty she was.

"It's fine. We all have our clumsy moments." She said as she grabbed the last apple on the ground. "I know I do at least." She said smiling at him. "Sometimes clumsy is better though. I mean, its better to have some clumsy moments and be happy and be able to laugh about it then to be some robot freak." She said with a small laugh. "Right?" She shook her head. "I'm probably not making any sense right now." She said and stood back up. "Oh, it's okay. It wasn't really quiet time. I mean, it was because I was alone but I would rather be with someone and be able to talk then to be all alone and quiet." She said, reaching her hand out to help him up.

Peter was more than relieved that she was still willing to put up with his presence. Most girls would have ran the other direction or stuck up their noses as if he smelled like mayo or something. It was so sad. "Oh...I know what you mean," he said, giving her a small smile. "I guess...I'm just used to being alone sometimes," he said with a small shrug. He clasped the girl's hand, pulling himself up and giving her a grateful smile. "I'm Peter...Peter Pettigrew," he introduced himself.

Melanie smiled at him and was glad to help him up, and she didn't think he smelled either, not bad at least. "Hi Peter." She said, still smiling. "I'm Melanie. Melanie McCann." She said and let go of his hand, still smiling at him, what a smiley person. "Umm, What house are you in?" She asked, wondering if he was in her own house because she wanted to meet someone who was in her own house other than her sister.

"Oh, I'm in Gryffindor," he replied, motioning to his little name badge. "It's a pretty good house...the one for the brave." Though how he was in that house was a freaking wonder. "Oh...you're in Ravenclaw?" he asked, glancing at her robes. "That's a great house! I don't really know any Claws...oh! But I do sort of know one," he said, thinking of Polly with a happy smile. He hoped she was doing well...he liked her for she was pretty and nice and sweet and she kissed him.

She leaned down and looked over his badge. "Oh! Well now I feel dumb." She said, blushing slightly because I mean how embarrassing is that. "Umm, Yeah." She said nodding, Ravenclaw, thats what it was, dang these houses were hard to remember. "Well...Now you know me." She said and grinned at him. "You are the first Gryffindor I have met. So, thats pretty exciting!" She said thinking about how he was only the second person she had talked with and the other guy she didn't even find out his house.

"Oh, don't feel stupid!" he said hurriedly, feeling horrible for making her feel belittled. That wasn't his intention at all and for some reason he felt like she didn't know much about Hogwarts. Perhaps she was one of those transfer students. He had heard that Hogwarts had gotten a handful of them this year. "I didn't mean it like that! I was just...I'm sorry," he mumbled. "I don't think you're dumb. In fact, you must be really, really, super-de-dooper-y smart to be placed in Ravenclaw."

She looked up at him and smiled. "Well Thanks Peter, I'm glad you don't think I am dumb." She said and grinned. "So, Umm, You're in Gryffindor." She stated again and then grabbed his hand."Here let's sit down." She said giving him a warm smile and sitting down in the grass, tugging his arm to get him to sit with her. "What year are you?" She asked.

Peter wasn't used to being led to do things with girls. It just...never, ever happened. It was rather nice though having a girl actually put up with his annoying presence. Maybe once she found out he was the mayo though she would be running away from him. "Oh! I'm a sixth year!" he said happily, because he rather liked sixth year. Much better than OWL year. "What about you?"

She grinned at him. "Oh goodness really?!" She asked, jumping a little bit because he was in her year and that made her happy. "I am a sixth year too!" She said, a huge grin on her face. "This is so exciting that means we are like in the same year and stuff and oh my gosh!" She said, with that huge grin on her face still. This was definitely the happiest part of her journey at Hogwarts so far. She loved this Peter guy. She had a feeling he was going to be her best friend here at Hogwarts, and maybe her only friend for that matter. "You know, you are the first Gryffindor I have met since I came to this school and the first person in my year other than my sister...I have a feeling we are going to be good friends, Peter." She said, that loopy grin still on her face. "That is...if you want to be my friend."

Peter was extremely surprised by how excited she was and how much she wanted to be his friend. Like...woah. Mind fuck right there. "Um, of course!" he said instantly, very pleased with the suggestion. Though...I mean...she might not be happy with him when he goes and starts disappearing loads and starts to get interested in the Dark Arts. Sorry 'bout that Mel. "Why wouldn't I want to be your friend?!" he asked in surprise. "I mean, I don't have that many friends to begin with...so the more, the merrier and better!" he said happily.

Aww, Mel just got very sad because she wants Peter to be her best friend forever. She was so happy that he wanted to be her friend though she leaned over and wrapped her arms around him. Giving him a huge hug. "Oh my gosh! You have no idea how happy I am now!" She said pulling out of the hug and smiling at him. "You're my first friend here at Hogwarts. My very first." She said, still grinning at him, she just seemed to grin so much around Peter.

Peter was in shock. Well really, something more than shock. This girl was hugging him. HUGGING. No one ever touched him! There was that one time that Padfoot gave him a one-armed hug...but that was pretty much it. No one really ever willingly went out of their way to touch him. It was just...madness right now. "Oh...well...that's awesome!" Peter said with a flushed expression. "I'm sure you'll make many more friends. After all, you're really nice and-and pretty too!" he said, his face all Quaffle-y.
