Melanie grinned at him and then couldn't help but blush a little bit when he said she was pretty. "Oh..Well, Thanks." She said, still blushing a little bit. "So, Peter, What do you normally do around here? I mean here at Hogwarts?" She asked, wondering if there was a certain spot where everyone liked to hang out and chillax.

"Oh...did you mean people in general?" he asked with a slight flush. "Um...they usually come down to the lake and hang out..."

She smiled and nodded and then blushed a bit when he realized what she was talking about, she obviously wasn't being understanding enough and needed to explain better. "Oh, really?" She said and looked around. "Sounds fun." She said grinning. "So you and your friends have been friends since your 1st year?! Dang.."

Maybe not the flirting part." She said and blushed awkwardly because she didn't even know Sirius and Peter knew he'd probably flirt with her, that was weird. "Yeah...Maybe Just the others, Remus, James, and Viktor." She said and smiled at him.

Peter couldn't help but grin widely, happy that this girl wasn't going to fall into Sirius' trap. Well, at least, he hoped so. If she ever met Sirius in the halls or something though, he would be sure to charm the panties right off of her. Sirius tended to do that. "Oh, I'm sure you'll love the other guys! They are really nice and all and just the bestest friends that a guy could ask for. I'm not sure what I would do without them."

She grinned at Peter and nodded. "That's so great! I had a few friends like that at my old school, but so far you're my only friend here." She said and frouted a bit. Peter felt pretty bad for Melanie. After all, it was difficult coming to a new school mid-term and to not know anyone but your sister...that made things much more difficult. "Well, I'm sure that'll change quickly!" he said brightly, hoping to spread his happiness and hope and all that fluffy shit. "I mean, you're really nice and obviously smart and very pretty, so people will be lining up to meet you!"

Melanie gave him a smile when he said it would change quickly. "I hope so!" She said with a smile. She grinned like a loon when he said she was nice, and smart, and pretty. "Aww, Thanks Peter!" She said, leaning over and hugging him. "That means a lot to me that you said that." She said, pulling away and smiling at him. "I hope you're right, because I sure would like to meet some more people here at this school. Not that you aren't nice or a perfect friend, it's just, I would want someone to talk to if you got sick or something."

"Well, I hope I don't get sick! I consume adequate amounts of vitamin C, so my immune system is pretty good. I also shower daily and practice pretty good hygiene. I should probably start to exercise a little more, for I'm worried that I'm consuming more food and not burning enough of it off. I've actually started to go for runs. So far, I can get to that tree and back to the entrance!" he said excitedly, pointing to a tree that looked like it was about ten feet from the entrance to the castle.

Melanie smiled at him. "I don't think you need to exercise more, Peter." She said, still smiling. "You look perfect to me." He said nodding and looked over at the tree. "Oh, Umm, That one?" She asked, pointing to one that was further from the castle. "Is that the one you are talking about." She asked, blinking because she thought he might have been pointing to the wrong one or something.

"Well...erm, thanks!" he said, flushing slightly but knowing that she was just being nice. "No no no!" he said, shaking his head and then holding out his hand to the one much closer to the castle. "That one! The one with the pretty leaves!" he said happily. "I think it'll take a good three months before I can get to the other tree that you were pointing to."

James Sirius walked out of the castle, eager to get some fresh air and hopefully run into someone that he wasn't related to. He loved his family and all, but sometimes...a bloke needed different interactions. He spotted the girl he had nearly killed sitting under a tree and decided to go and say hello. "Hi...Parvati, right?"

That way he isn't too forward and thinking she actually wants to talk to him. He figured that giving her the options to be all "Oh hells no bitch" was a nice thing to do.

Cute boys make an impression on Parvati all the time she just doesn't always remember their names right away but at least she remembered it unlike other guys. She smiled at him. "Yeah, Sure sit." She said smiling at him. "I've been doing really good recently." She said nodding. "What have you been up to since last time I saw you? Did you end up getting credit for that essay?" She asked with a light laugh.
