Re: The Hippogriff Pen
"Right." Remus nods, watching the hippogriff that's watching them now and waiting to see what they're going to do. "Bow and try to keep eye contact, with minimal blinking."

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
Viktor nods and silently takes one cautious step towards the hippogriff, looking it in the eyes as he bends forward slightly, bowing and waiting for the creature to do something, though he's not sure what. He probably should have asked about that before he bowed, huh? Oh well, nothing to do now but wait, I guess. It seems like forever, but eventually the hippogriff bows in return and takes a step towards him. Viktor's lips twitch into a small smile as he stands up straight, reaching a hand out to gentle stroke the animal's beak. "Huh. You're not so scary now, are you?"

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
Remus chuckles and smiles as Viktor strokes the animals' beak. "Great job. I told you they're not that bad. As long as you don't insult them you're fine." he bows to the hippogriff as well so that he can pet it. "They can be really friendly." he smiled, petting the hippogriff's beak along with Viktor.

"I honestly can't think of anything insulting to say to this guy," he said smiling, still lightly stroking the hippogriff. "I'm assuming Hagrid's name them all?" he questions, feeling bad for not having anything to call the pretty animal.

"I suppose he has.." he shrugged, "I don't know them though. Except that one over there - that's Goldtail...yeah, not exactly the most creative thing ever, but it suits him, don't you think?" The hippogriff he was gesturing to did, indeed, have a tail that was almost gold in color.

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
"Mhm. It does," he said, smiling in the direction of the other hippogriff before turning back to the one in front of him. "This sort of makes me regret not taking Care of Magical creatures this year."

"You aren't totally missing out though..." he laughed, "The week or so spent on flobberworms was dreadfully boring. The blast-ended skrewts weren't any fun either."

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
"Flobberworms," he repeats, smirking slightly as he glances over at Remus. "Maybe I'm better off in potions in that case," he says, grinning to himself as he thinks about that perfume he's been working on with Rolf, because it is so going to get them both super famous. As if Viktor wasn't famous enough already.

"Yeah, flobberworms. So weird." he laughs. "I'm terrible at potions though...so I don't mind Care of Magical Creatures." he smiles at the hippogriff they're petting. It looked quite happy to be getting so much attention.

"I didn't used to be too fond of it, until my friend, Rolf, compared it to cooking. It's been a lot more enjoyable ever since that. I actually really like it now," he grins, excited about his next perfume making session with Rolf.

"I can see how it can be comparable to cooking..." he shrugged, "I just wish that would make it easier for me then. I'm good at cooking, but I'm terrible at potions. Really completely useless at it. Tutoring helps somewhat, but I'm still pretty fail at it."

"Vell, you're plenty smart at just about everything else, so not being great at potions is perfectly acceptable," he says with a grin. "Though, maybe I'm not that great at it. I might just be getting good grades because Slughorn likes to play favorites."

"Nah, he likes to play favorites, but he still grades basing off of the general stuff." he shrugged, smiling, "So you're probably pretty good at it if you get good grades."

"Oh. Vell still, you're really smart, Rem. I'm sure you're good at potions, even if you don't think so," he said grinning, because he really does think Remus is super smart.

"Well...I do pretty good at reading the stuff and learning theory and all that...it's just the actual process of making the potions that I suck at." He was really trying to be modest because that's just how he is.

"Oh. That's my favorite part of potions now," he said chuckling. "Ve made Amortentia not too long ago in class. That vos really fun...And interesting. Though it vos a particularly tricky potion to get perfect."

"Did you manage to make it properly then?" he wasn't ever even going to bother trying to make that one. Way too tricky.

"Mhm," he nods. "I've actually memorized the potion from all the reading and practice I've been doing on it," he admits, excited for whenever he and Rolf end up showing their secret perfume to the world.

"That's really awesome!" he grins. The hippogriff takes that moment to nudge Viktor's shoulder with it's beak. "Oh, I think it's hungry. I brought some stuff for it but it's in a bag over by the fence. I'll be right back." And then he leaves Viktor there with the hungry hippogriff. Very hungry hippogriff. *blinks*

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
"Oh, I'll come vi--...Or I'll just vait here," he says to himself, because Remus is already gone. Viktor stares at the hippogriff. The hippogriff stares back. "You're a pretty guy, aren't you," he says smiling at the animal and speaking to it all cute like now that Remus isn't here to see Viktor's soft side, because he does have one. Then again, he wouldn't mind Remus seeing it. It's people like Rad that he'd hide that from. Rad can see Viktor's sexy side, but that's about it for now.

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
Remus is heading back when he hears Viktor talking to the hippogriff all cute like. He smiles and clears his throat as he walks up to announce his presence. After all, he wasn't sure if Viktor wanted people seeing his soft side. Remus is considerate like that. He really thinks it's cute though and can't help smiling at Viktor when he finally is standing next to him again. "Back. Here," he pulls a dead ferret out of a bag and shows Viktor and the hippogriff. The hippogriff is suddenly very focused on Remus' hand. "This is for you, lovely fella." he tosses the ferret up and the hippogriff happily catches it and noms on it.

Re: The Hippogriff Pen
Viktor smiles and pulls his hand away as he lets the hippogriff eat, staring in shock as it munches on Draco the ferret. "Yum," he smirks before chuckling because, well, yum was not the right word to use for a ferret. "You veren't kidding ven you said they liked eating dead ferrets."

"Nope." Remus chuckled. "I wasn't. Here," he handed Viktor a dead ferret, grinning, "you can try it too." The hippogriff stared intently at the two watching as Remus handed the dead animal to Viktor.

OMG HAHAHAHA...should have watched my wording there. OMG SAW 2 is on now...*changes channel*
"It isn't. I'm glad we came out here to do this. This is fun." Plus he likes spending time with his buddy. "We should hang out more since I won't get to see you as often now that you're not in my dorm..." he was sort of bummed when he found out about that. He liked sharing a dorm with Viktor. Ah well.
