Lucius ignores her first comment and glances over the cliff, trying to look uninterested. "Yeah. I suppose there are. Would have been a nasty fall if I wasn't here to catch you."

"Oh, you know. The usual. That fun stuff called homework takes up a ton of my time. I'm probably taking too many classes." She fidgets with the leg of her tights, trying to distract herself. "But I saw a strange thing earlier. Some boys decided to streak while I was hanging out by the lake. One was wearing his underpants on his head."

Lucius smiles an actual, genuine smile. "Streaking, huh? That sounds fun. Sounds like some people had too much to drink," he said with a chuckle as he looked down at the pimp cane in his hands. Was he really having a legit conversation with a Weasley? One without insults and taunting and pissing each other off?

Rose laughs. "It seems that way. A lot of people do that stuff, I've heard. I've never done anything like that. I used to be known as 'Wet Blanket Weasley' in my childhood." She was surprised that she was admitting this to a Malfoy. She was surprised that she was mentioning it at all. "It's crazy, isn't it? It's unheard of for a Weasley to have casual conversation with a Malfoy," she says as if she was reading his mind.

Lucius laughed awkwardly. "Yeah. Unheard of. Can't imagine what my father would say if he knew about this," he said with a laugh. "He'd probably want me to smack you with my walking stick," he said with a smirk that lasted only a moment before his expression softened. "But I'm not going to do that...I don't think you're a wet blanket."

"Oh, well, thanks Malfoy," Rose says, not even realizing she'd gone back to last names. It's probably better that way anyway. Whatever. "And I don't think you're half as bad as you make yourself out to be. Though you're still pretty bad," she adds with a gleam in her eye.

Lucius laughs again. "I guess it would. It'd take awhile too. They're rather small. And you'd need a mirror unless you had someone there to help you count the ones on your face," he said with yet another smirk.
