"No need, I have enough for a new one," another lie. "I'm sure you'll do fine on the the NEWTs, unlike me who until recently still needed to work on first year spells," Seamus smiled, attempting to lighten up the conversation, and sat back up. "Ahh, none of this is going how expected. Usually the hero has an audience and fame for his amazing rescue. I guess not in this case. Either way, I'm glad your okay, even with nothing in return," he laughed stiffly, trying not to shake and disrupt his shoulder.

"I'm sure you'll do fine as well!" She smiled. "And you have my thanks and appreciation. And this." She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. When she pulled back she looked right in his eyes, blushing. "Thank you. I'd be a pile of rubble if you hadn't acted as quickly as you did." She gestured to the pile of rubble laying at the foot of the castle.

Seamus's heart gave an involuntary lurch when she kissed him, and he flushed. "Erm, I-I guess that will do," he stammered. "And again, you're welcome. It really wasn't anything, and don't say I'm just being modest. As I said, it was all in the adrenaline," and to himself he added, Which was born from something else, but I'm too afraid to admit it out loud, aren't I?

She smiled at him. "Well, I suppose we should clean up our mess." She stood slowly then turned to help him up, reaching out her hand for him to grab. "Then maybe head to do something a little less perilous." She giggled.

"Ah, thanks," he took her hand gratefully, being sure it was his uninjured arm. "Yeah, I guess we should . . . got any spells in that big brain of yours to hurry things up? Because I've got nothing. And yes, please, no more danger for today," he grinned as she giggled, once again finding it to be cute. "I'm all for showing off my bravery and all that put me into Gryffindor, but preferably not by putting people I like in danger. That kind of ruins the fun."

She nodded and waved her wand, making all the pieces vanish. "I've actually always wondered why I was put in Gryffindor, I've never really done anything that was particularly brave. Maybe it's still waiting to show itself." She shrugged. "Where do you want to go?"

"I'll tell ya one thing, if ya ever get on a broom again I'll call ya the bravest woman to ever walk the Earth." Seamus thought carefully, then decided, "How 'bout that little beach area by the lake? Unless you'd like to go inside? I'm fine with whatever as long as you're happy with it."

"Well, I wouldn't mind getting back on one, as long as it was a newer model." She laughed. "I don't mind staying outside. If we're going to the beach, I don't have a bathing suit. I haven't exactly mastered the transfiguring yet. I guess we don't have to swim." She realized she was rambling, again.

"Trust me, I don't want to swim," he replied, thinking of his shoulder and not wanting to make a seen if he cramped up or anything. "So the beach it is?" Seamus gestured towards the lake and led Lavender to the sandy patch not far from the docks, telling her all about the newest modules of broomsticks on the way there.
