But Buckbeak is just like a giant bird thing and he had no idea where to begin.

Padma grinned and raised her eyebrows. "Amusing, really," she said. "Some Slytherins are nice, some Slytherins aren't. It all depends. Like, Tam and Dee, they're really awesome and cool and such, but that girl was just plain strange. Using Unforgivable Curses is like having a weakness but not wanting to admit it." She laughed and waved her wand so it turned into a swimsuit, then jumped in. "Coming?" she asked Milli, flailing in the water. And it IS possible, because I did it the other day at a swimming park. I feel proud of myself.

"Aww, fine," Padma sighed. "Ooh, Andrew will have a fit... I can see it now." She laughed. "'So, Padma, what's new?' 'Oh, nothing much, I ran into a Slytherin yesterday who used the Cruciatus Curse on me, but other than that, my life's pretty boring.'" Padma burst out laughing.

Milli cracked up. It did sound pretty ridiculous. But she stopped quickly. "How are you so laid back about this?I mean, I'd be throwing a bitch fit if it was me. Hell, I am going to throw one as soon as a get a proper chance. But you're all relaxed."

"I guess," Padma said thoughtfully, "I'm just not taking her seriously. She hides behind her wand, uses powerful spells to defeat people she knows she wouldn't be able to beat ordinarily, and has an inability to use words. Why should I work myself into a fit because of her?"

"Yeah, but personally, I might just tell the Grey Lady and move on with my life." Padma shrugged. "She's not gonna bring me down! And yeah, I'd probably end up telling Andrew and Harry anyways." She grinned sheepishly. "It might slip out."

"Slip out. Right," Milli said dryly. "Well, hanging out certainly didn't go as planned, but it will make for an interesting story. As for me, I will be heding to bed so I'm not tired for my date. Take care of yourself!" she calls, poofing.

"I'll try," Padma joked. "And if I don't see you before then, have fun on your date! ~~Hope Harry doesn't burst in and declare his undying love for Colin!~~ Byeee!" After a while, she climbed out of the lake, dried herself off, changed her clothes with a sweep of her wand, then went back to the common room, where a rave was awaiting her.

Harry, it seems unnaturally common for you to be proclaiming undying love for many people.
I am deeply concerned. You should, perhaps, seek relationship advice. I cannot help you, seeing as I am not an expert in that department. I suggest a fellow student or finding yourself a good therapist.
