"You're right. I don't like doing it often, but I do honestly feel terrible for hurting you," he said with a sympathetic nod. Now what? Oh. Oh my. He notices something and cannot continue this conversation until it is fixed. "Oh. Your shirt er- let me fix that," he says as he leans over to straighten out Cissa's sleeve. "There. Much better," he says happily because in his world, everything must be perfect and in its proper place. ~~Namely a dresser.~~

Narcissa cracks a grin and nearly forgets the past day or so. "You're very thoughtful," she acknowledges. It's that Malfoy charm, it must be.

"I try," he says with that charming smile of his. "Thanks again for the other night. My eye feels a lot better now, and the bruising has really gone down thanks to you."

She shrugs. "I didn't do much, but it was no problem. It looks far better now; Does it still hurt?"

Lucius shakes his head. "No. Not anymore. And I'm glad I look better now as well. I was getting tired of wearing sunglasses all the time to cover up my perfectly colored eyes," he said with a sigh.

Narcissa nods, as if she understands completely. "I can't imagine that wearing sunglasses in a well-lit room would look normal to everyone. What, may I ask, did you tell them?" she asked.

"Well you see, when you look as pretty as I do, people don't tend to question your sense of style. I mean, it's not like I had on some cheap glasses, right?" ~~And your cousin didn't even question my black eye so we're all good.~~

Narcissa nods. "I'm not much of a sunglasses person. I can never find quite the right pair, you know? Because if you don't have the right pair, then your whole outfit won't work, and if that happens--well, honestly, let's face it: If that happens, you should go bury yourself in a ditch, or just kill yourself, rather than be seen in public in the wrong outfit."

Lucius looks at Narcissa as if she's the most wonderful person in the world, which he currently thinks she is after that statement. "Exactly! Finally, someone who understands me! And bad hairs days-- Not that I've ever had one, but if I did then I would not leave my dorm until I deemed my hair suitable for public exposure. But thank Merlin, my hair is always perfect," he says happily as he runs his fingers through his own hair. "I'm sure I could find you a pair of sunglasses," he says as he examines her face shape when he suddenly realizes it's time for him to go do that important thing he has to do. "Well Cissa, as fun as this talk was, I really must be going now. I'm glad that you don't hate me," he says with a smile though she never actually said she didn't hate him. He's just assuming. "Goodnight, Cissy," he says as he leans over to kiss her on the cheek, letting his lips linger there for a moment before smiling at her and going up to his dorm.

Narcissa smiles to herself and bites her tongue to suppress the urge to squeal. Because, that, we know, would be utterly improper and downright stupid. So, she walks, with dignity, to her room where she will then squeal to her heart's content.

Scorpius and Sirius sneak into the fireplace; tuxes, sunglasses, walkie talkies, and a super secret item. Glancing around the room, Scorp is pleased to see that the room is empty because someone would fucking kill him if they saw him sneaking in a Gryffindor. "Alright," he whispers quietly while ducking to the ground and pulling Sirius down with him. "The dorms are off that way," he says, army crawling through the common room towards the stairs...just in case someone were for some reason to enter the room.

Lucius walks down and sits on one of the couches, glad to see that there aren't many people around because he really doesn't want to be showing off his red hair.

Narcissa walks down to the Common Room and finds herself instantly looking at the bright red hair sitting on the couch. Her nose wrinkles up a bit, but she's also curious, as she had thought that she knew everyone in Slytherin. She walks over with a smile and sits next to the person. "Well, hello! I don't think we've met! I'm Narcissa and--" she stops as she catches a proper glance of him and her eyebrows raise in surprise. "Wait a minute... Lucius? Is that... you?" she asked, mouth slightly agape.

Lucius sighs and nods his head. "Yes, Cissa. It's me. Someone thought it'd be funny to do something to my hair products, and I walked out of the showers looking like this," he explains as he gestures towards his hair. Not that he needed to. I mean, what else would he be referring to?

Narcissa's shock is soon covered with concern. "Oh, Lucius," she says with sympathy. "That must be awful. I can't imagine who would think it would be funny--Do you know who did it?"

"No! I don't! I have no idea who would be that jealous that they would do this to me! And they ruined my coat too. The one from Europe. Completely unwearable," he said as he thought about how difficult it had been to summon a house elf to clean up the remaining ashes of his precious coat. Though, he would just buy a new one anyway. It's the hair he's worried about. "I'll find out though. They'll be sorry for messing with Lucius Malfoy," he said sounding a bit more calm and in control. Sounding more like his usual self.

Narcissa nodded. "They better ge--Wait. They ruined your coat?" she gasped. "Oh no they didn't. Was it one of those nice fur coats from Europe? I love those. I mean, I know it's supposed to be wrong, liking fur coats, but they're so fashionable and I can't help but like them." she said with a shrug.

"Oh no! Not a fur one. They'd be dead right now if they laid a finger on one of those," he said quickly. "No. It was just a perfect, fashionable coat. Good for any occasion, really. And now it needs replacing because some people are just so immature that they still think practical jokes are humorous," he said with a sigh.

"Oh, thank Merlin," she said with a breath of relief. "I mean, this whole situation is just terrible, but at least it wasn't fur. But, who would do such a thing? You don't seem as though you're the type to anger people..." she said thoughtfully, before coming to a conclusion. "They must have been jealous." she shook her head. "That's the only answer. I still can't believe they'd stoop that low, though. What did they do to your coat, may I ask?"

Lucius blinks because he knows he's the type of guy who angers people, but he's not going to tell Narcissa that. It would mess with the sympathy he's getting from her and he doesn't want that. "Oh." He takes a deep breath before answering because it's rather tragic, really. "They thought it'd be funny to-- to write the word, 'Weasley,' on my coat to match the red hair. Permanently, of course. So I burned it because there is just no way that I would put wear that around now. Not after what they did to it."

Narcissa puts her hands over her mouth as she gasps, her eyes widening in utter horror. "Oh no," she says, shocked. After all, the whole event is very horrifying. "Who would... Who would compare you to a filthy Weasley?!" she asked, incredulously. "That's... They've gone too far. I bet their clothes are all second-hand, out of fashion, frumpy things that might as well be considered dishrags. I bet they haven't had a proper trip to a salon in three months. I bet--- I bet that they shop off the clearance rack." she says this all very vehemently because, in the eyes of Narcissa, this is a terrible crime that deserves punishment in the worst way.

Lucius looks at Narcissa as if she's the most wonderful thing in the world because never has he met someone who understands him as much as she does. "I just knew you'd understand," he exclaims as he sits closer to Narcissa. "They just-- Why must people be so jealous of me!? It's not my fault! I didn't ask to be so perfect! To be so beautiful! I didn't ask to be the heir of the Malfoy family. It just happened!"

Narcissa looks at him sadly. "Oh, people are so terrible. It isn't your fault, naturally--They're just... what's the word? They don't know how to express their envy properly, so they take it out on you. You don't deserve that." She puts a hand on his shoulder, comfortingly. "I understand completely. I just wish others did, too." she sighs.

Lucius sighed, feeling comforted by her small hand on his shoulder. "I know you understand. You're one of the few people that do. Regulus sort of does too. He said I still looked nice- with the hair change. I think he was lying. It looks hideous."

"Oh, no it doesn't!!" Cissa says, giving his shoulder a slight squeeze. "Honestly, he's right. He knows what he's talking about, mostly. I mean, I personally am not a fan of red hair, but you... You could honestly pull off anything, I think. It may take some time to get used to, though. Do you know how long it lasts?"
