Caradoc pulled Remus closer with his arm, glad to see he seemed to be providing him with some form of comfort. "Well, I'm perfectly happy sitting here with you, so this works out nicely," he replied, unable to help but smile at that adorably innocent expression on Remus' face. "And headaches are no good at all. How about we talk about something else, if you want to take your mind off things? Like... hm, well, we are in a library-- how about books? I just finished rereading another Shakespeare play last night, I couldn't help myself, I don't care how many times I've read Othello, I'll read it again. Are you a fan at all?" he asked curiously.

"I haven't read that one yet, but I know what it's about. I do like King Lear, though." his eyes light up at the conversation's topic change. "That scene after Gloucester is blinded and he begs Edgar to lead him to a cliff so he may jump off? Crazy, that." Amethyst did her huge speech for Shakespeare class in 12th grade on King Lear. She had to act out a scene and chose that one - memorizing all of Gloucester's lines for it and did the whole scene blindfolded. Her friend decided it'd be amusing to lead her out of the room instead of over the yardstick they were using to be the cliff edge. She still got an almost perfect grade though. So whatever.

"Oh, I haven't read King Lear, sadly. How about Macbeth? I can quote half that play by heart, I won't lie. My favorite line has to be when Macbeth is overwhelmed with all the guilt, and cries out, 'Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand?' It's such a beautiful, moving line," he said, looking far more animated, now that they were talking about literature. Eowyn has played Desdemona several times in English class, and even once did a ghetto version of the scene where Othello and Desdemona fight, after Desdemona talks to Emilia. It was pretty epic, not gonna lie, and the guy playing Othello was Matt's really sexy best friend, which was awesome. Eowyn is an awesome ghetto fabulous chic, just sayin'. She be mad fly, yo.

"Oh, yes! I've read Macbeth." he grinned, eyes shining brightly because he was so excited to be talking about literature with someone who wasn't only pretending to be interested. "I agree with you completely, that line is beautiful." Amethyst is dying from this awesomeness.

Eowyn is too, but she is going to bed after this post. She'll be on some in the morning, with luck, though. Caradoc greams like Molly Prewett, because we all know he's a closet nerd, silly thing. Nothing wrong with being a nerd, Rad, honestly. Oh, did I mention, because you know, he was reading when Remus walked in, he's wearing his adorable nerd glasses that he pretends he doesn't need, and only uses when he's reading or studying? Yup, Remus and Tristan are like the only ones who have ever seen him in his nerd glasses. Thank goodness, or he'd probably kill a kitten. "It's so nice to have someone to talk about this stuff with! I don't generally spend a lot of time around anyone who really reads, especially muggle literature, this is so wonderful, that I can share that with you," he said excitedly, grinning from ear to ear.

Amethyst really needs to get to bed too. She has to be at work by 7am tomorrow. Yuck. Remus has definitely noticed Rad's glasses and will totally comment on them. "I understand completely." he grinned, feeling a lot better than when he'd first walked into the library a bit ago. "I hardly ever get to talk about this stuff with people, cause no one's ever been as interested. I like your glasses by the way. You look good in them..." he told Rad, somewhat shyly.

"Well, I'm glad we've got each other to be book nerds with now," he said, smiling brightly, then looking at Remus in surprise, not having expected a compliment from adorable, shy Remus Lupin. "Oh! Er, thank you, Remus. I don't really like them on myself at all, honestly, hence why I never wear them, except when I have to, but thanks, all the same. I suppose they're not all bad if you like them on me," he said, grinning at his friend, keeping his arm around him. "I'd return the compliment, but you always look good, of course, so that would be rather redundant."

"They really aren't that bad. I like them." his face reddened at Rad's compliment and he looked down shyly. Being ever the modest guy that he was, Remus replied softly, "Thank you...I don't look good all the time though...only on occasion, I think."

He's had a traumatizing day in Eowyn world.

"I don't think so. You've always been just as cute as you are right now, whenever I've seen you. I mean, you looked a bit pale, the day after... but that's not your fault, and it didn't make you any less attractive. In fact, I think you should spend less time focusing on Sirius, and more time focusing on the fact that you're fucking adorable, and won't have any trouble getting any guy you lay your eyes on, I bet," he teased, bopping Remus lightly on the nose. "Think about the positive things-- that's what I do."

Remus is dying inside...a little. He doesn't know what to think at the moment - which, you know, is very difficult for him to comprehend considering he usually does know what to think. It doesn't help that most of him would rather focus on Sirius instead of on how he might possibly be considered adorable. Which is a word he normally does not associate with himself. "I'm not generally a negative person, I don't think so anyway, but, honestly, 'adorable' isn't generally a word I'd use when describing myself - or hear when others describe me. I'm just...me."

You, Remus Lupin, happen to be quite cute, and I dislike seeing you sad immensely. I wish I could be better at cheer you up, but that was never really a strong point of mine-- well, actually, it is, but, I tend to use other methods when cheering people up, I just somehow didn't see them exactly working well with you," he laughed, slightly uneasily, as he glanced at Remus. Hell, maybe it is what he needs-- a little confidence booster, that's all.

Remus is just going to sit there and be all quaffley. He gives Rad a slightly confused, albeit adorable, look when he detects the slight uneasiness in Rad's voice. "What? Why?" He's still rather innocent and wouldn't be imagining anything exactly of what Rad normally does to cheer people up.

What crack were we on last night, coming up with this? I don't even know. OH BY THE WAY I DIDN'T TEXT YOU BACK BECAUSE MY PHONE COLLAPSED ON ME. So I don't know what the last text you sent was.

Caradoc blinks, and sighs, looking at the impossibly cute and very innocent look on Remus' face. "Er, see, I find that works best sometimes, when trying to cheer up my friends, is well, a bit of a distraction, you know? It tends to help, when someone's trying to get over a break up or something, or just needs that sort of ego boost, to remember they're still hot and desirable. Are you getting what I'm saying here?" he said, smiling as he looked down at Remus, with his own bright blue eyes. "But I just don't know how comfortable you'd be, with that kind of thing, seeing as I know you've only recently started coming to terms with that part of yourself, and I totally get that. So I figured words and actually talking might work better at cheering you up, is all."

Caradoc chuckles slightly and nods at Remus. "Yeah, like kissing, among other things," he said, trying not to burst out laughing at Remus' innocent awkwardness. "By the way, your adorable factor shoots way up when you're confused, just so you know," he teased, as he gave Remus a sort of one armed hug with the arm that was still draped along his shoulders. "But yes, that's what I meant. It typically works, but I wouldn't want to do something like that, unless I knew you'd be comfortable with it. You don't seem like you're very comfortable with yourself, which is sad-- you've got a lot to offer someone, Remus. Don't let Sirius' words get you down so much, not every guy is like him."

"Oh." he squeaks, still quite quaffley in the face and even more so now that he finally realizes what Rad's talking about. "Hey...I'm comfortable with myself, really...well, maybe not entirely." he admits, sheepishly, knowing it was stupid to lie about it and that Rad would probably be able to tell he was lying anyway.

And now Amethyst really has to go run errands before her mom gets mad at her for not doing so yet. *stops sneaking*

Caradoc chuckles again, and shakes his head. "I can tell, and quite honestly, that makes me a little sad. Because you don't seem to understand your own self worth, or realize that you're a truly amazing guy, with a lot to offer any man. But you're just not okay in your own skin, and it shows. I wish there were a way to make you more confident in yourself, so you'd be a little less worried and dependent on Sirius' acceptance, among other things I'm sure you're concerned about. I know it's hard, trying to come to terms with your sexuality, along with just maturing in general-- it's not exactly like I'm a stranger to it myself. But I really feel you'd be happier, if you started focusing more on your positive qualities, and acknowledging them more often. Like, for example, your cuteness, which you seem to be so adamant about denying," he said, smiling down at Remus. "You know, maybe I was wrong-- perhaps that sort of thing is exactly the kind of thing you need to boost your confidence, and help you out. Am I wrong in guessing that you've only ever kissed Viktor? I mean, guys, not girls, that you've kissed."

Remus refuses to comment on the 'him actually being cute' topic again, because he just doesn't see it. He shakes his head at Rad's question, pretty sure he's going to go permanently quaffley soon. "No...you're right. Viktor's the only guy I've ever kissed."

Rad will remind Remus of that until he gets it stuck in his head. He will, he will. "I have to say, the rest of the world is likely sorely jealous of him, in that case-- really, it's almost unfair, not to share," he teased, clearly jokingly though, so as not to give poor Remus a heart attack. "But see, that makes me wonder, especially with the way you view yourself physically-- Remus, I feel like you don't really see your own worth accurately. From what I've seen of you, you're always so hard on yourself, always putting people before yourself, and you take the blame a lot, for things that aren't necessarily your fault at all. And while I can attest for the fact that some people can learn from that kind of humility, I think you need to be less harsh in your own judgments of, well, you. Do you realize that just because Viktor's the only one who's kissed you, doesn't mean that other people wouldn't want that chance?"
