Caradoc stared at Pansy like she was completely mad for a second, then burst out laughing. "Pink, lace, cupids, and cupcakes? He'll be wanting to move into the place, or at least buy it out," he snorted, facepalming. "That atrocious? The kind of overwhelming pink that makes you want to stab your eyes out and live in a room where everything has been painted black and you debate taking a potion to go colorblind?" he asked, wondering what the hell he was about to get himself into, and knowing full well he'd find it nauseating, while Fabian would probably squeal with delight.

"Precisely that shade." Pansy nodded gravely, trying not to laugh at Rad's misfortune of having to endure an afternoon in there. "You could always go on a run through the Shrieking Shack afterward though, to counteract all the horrid daintiness of that stupid cafe. Though I'm sure he'll love it. And I'm sure he'll love you for taking him there. I wish I had a secret to tell you how to make it less horrific, but I've only been in there once before and that was more than plenty."

"Oh, I'll take your word for it. I'll plan on making sure I have a bottle of Jack in the dorm waiting for me with some Sabbath or Maiden, but you know, I'm sure Fabian would love something like that. Thanks a bunch, Pansy!" he said honestly, though he's already dreading the place, and wondering if it can truly be as disgusting as it sounds. "The Shrieking Shack? What's that?" he asked curiously, having not heard about it previously.

[Haha, it's no problem. Keep an eye on that little monkey Wink]

"Sure, sure!" She laughed, glad she was able to help him out. "Really? You haven't heard of snogging and you haven't been to Hogsmeade and you haven't heard of the Shrieking Shack? Goodness, Rad. Well, it's apparently one of the most haunted places around, but I'll bet it's all rumors. I've been there twice and apart from the place simply being about to fall apart, I've not seen anything wort believing it to be haunted. Though they say there are some noises from there around the full moon, but I've never been out there around then."

"I've been to Hogsmeade! I took Luna Lovegood on a date there this one time. I can locate the clothing stores and the jewelry shop, and the Three Broomsticks. That is all however," he said, shrugging. "I haven't exactly been offered a tour. A haunted house?! That sounds fucking epic, I so need to check that place out-- ugh, I bet Fabian wouldn't want to go, he'd be too afraid of getting dirt on his shoes," he said, grimacing. "I don't understand how someone can be that prissy at times. Don't get me wrong, it's endearing, but seriously, I just don't get it."

"You've got me." She shrugged, wondering what Fabian was like, exactly. The way Rad was describing him, well, she couldn't really imagine it without actually seeing this guy. "But the Haunted House, real or not you should see it! I mean, we could go sometime if you wanted. I haven't been out there in a while and I wonder if anything's changed. Besides, you need a proper tour of Hogsmeade, I think."

Pansy shrugged and got up after him. "Nope. Just wasting my day away doing nothing. Wanna head over! I just need a coat and scarf maybe, it's getting cold out, but we could totally go!" She nodded enthusiastically, as getting away from the castle for a while sounded like a wonderful idea.

James Sirius was in the library, something that very rarely ever happened. He figured getting a good grade on his next charms essay would be rather nice though, so he was searching through the shelves to find books to help him.

Pansy was in the library, which isn't rare at all, looking for something to use for homework. She wandered down an aisle of charms books, biting her lip a bit as there was a boy in the way of the book she was looking for. "Pardon me, sorry," she reached in front of him and pulled out a book, glancing up at him with a half smile. "You weren't going after this one by chance, were you?" She'd feel bad to have taken the book he wanted from right under his nose, since he looked so very confused at the moment and she was in a rather good mood.

James pulled his gaze away from the books when his attention was pulled to the girl next to him. "Oh no! It's fine," he said immediately, giving her a small smile. He couldn't deny she was very pretty, because this is Pansy Parkinson and therefore everyone is probably aware of how gorgeous she is. Well, guys are that is. Maybe some girls too. Who knows. "I honestly don't even know what I'm really looking for," he admitted, looking back to the shelf in slight confusion. "I've only just realized that the books are arranged in alphabetical order. The library isn't a place I visit often," he said with a slightly sheepish grin.

Pansy laughed and shook her head at him. "Hopeless." She didn't say it condescendingly though, strangely enough it was somewhat more amused and friendly. Though her gaze settled on his red and gold tie for a moment, she brushed the stereotypes away. It really didn't matter that much as long as he wasn't a jerk. And so far things were looking pretty good for him. "Need some help? I'm Pansy, by the way. Pansy Parkinson." She extended her hand to him, looking him in the eye. He was actually very handsome.

[OH GOD. DO NOT POST. BAD IDEA. DON'T DO IT. WE'VE LEARNED OUR LESSONS WITH THAT. This is why I will not post pictures of Hayden. My head is already a mess too, since I saw this video of a movie where Odette's character was dared or something to fake orgasm. Yep.]

"I suppose some help would be nice. As long as I don't take up too much of your time," he said, gently taking her hand and shaking it. "I'm James Potter," he said, introducing himself with a smile and then releasing her hand. Dom would say the full name, but something tells her that saying 'Sirius' would be a very bad idea right now. So, for obvious reasons, Pansy just won't hear the middle name. "I really just need a book to help with my Charms essay, but...there are so many options," he said, looking back at the shelf. "How in the world do I choose one?"

[I KNOW RIGHT. I WILL JUST KEEP THAT LITTLE GIF TUCKED SAFELY IN ITS FOLDER, HIDDEN AWAY FROM THE WORLD.
And, yeah, that video........ don't let JSP watch it. Scorp is whatever, but... no. JSP should not see it.]

Keeping the middle name to himself is very much a good thing to do. Her kind nature would probably have disappeared and she'd have told him to have fun trying to find his book as she walked away to go about her own business. Instead, she shook his hand and thought the name James Potter sounded familiar, but this wasn't the face she'd connected to it. Oh well, maybe she'd just been mistaken before. "Well, James, what's your essay on? That's always a good place to start, unless of course you've no idea what you're really looking for." She smirked at him, because if he's anything like his dad, without a Hermione-figure to help him out, he's pretty lost with assignments.

[Scorpius pouted and said he wants to see the gif sometime. Just...maybe at the appropriate time at Pigfarts. Mhmm.]

Dom figured that the whole 'James Potter' thing might have sounded familiar to Pansy, but it's not as if Pansy and James Potter I will ever actually meet. Or some Dom very much so assumes. "Oh, I've got the topic. See, Flitwick made it a general essay on the Fidelius Charm, but how do you know which books to use? I mean, they're organized by author...not topic. Out of these hundreds of books, how do I know which ones will have information? Am I expected to go and read a handful of books until one proves to actually be useful?"

[Well, maybe for Scorp. Maybe they'll go to the library for a bit more research soon and I can use it. I should find it and make sure I still have it actually, and make sure it's what I'm thinking of.... hm.]

Oh, they'll meet eventually, just... not on good terms exactly. Hm. That'll be a major confusion moment, with this James Potter being quite nice and such, and that James Potter just wanting to get in a fight. "Oh, yes that's the logical way to go about it, just grab a dozen or so and start reading, and maybe eventually you'll come across something useful." She looked at him quite seriously for a moment before she smiled and shook her head. "No, no, there's a much better way. Here, come on." She grabbed his hand and pulled him along behind her, because acquaintance or very close friend, it doesn't matter. That is how Pansy gets people to follow her, no matter who they are. She stopped at a very large book on the end of an aisle, pulling out her wand and standing in front of it. "This will tell you where to look. Watch." She tapped the cover of the book with her wand, spoke 'Fidelus Charms' aloud, and watched as it flipped open and the pages fluttered past quite quickly, eventually settling down partway through. "And there you are. All the books about the Fidelus Charm, listed right there." She smiled at him, rather enjoying showing off her knowledge, but still hoping she wasn't turning into Granger with this.

James had thought she was serious. Reading all these books and just hoping the one you were reading actually had the material you needed? That didn't sound fun in the slightest. His eyes widened a bit as he looked at the shelves and tried to imagine himself reading all the books. He let out a noise of relief when she implied that she was just kidding. "Real funny," he said with a grin. "Had me completely fooled." He allowed himself to be led off to a large book, slightly surprised with the way in which she had led him. After all, her just asking him to follow would have done the trick. Though, the purely platonic touch was kind of nice. The large book was kind of cool, he could admit that much. It was nice that it listed what he assumed to be the aisle numbers on the page. Well, actually, there were letters in there too. Now he was slightly confused. "What are the letters for? Does each shelf have a special number and letter for reference of where to find the books?" he asked. Pansy...turning into a Hermione...HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

"Oh right, well," she turned back to the book, picking one that sounded useful and pointing at it. "There it lists the book, and then in these columns beside it, is the location. That first letter is the section of the library. AST for Astronomy, CHR for Charms, DIV for Divination, RES for Restricted, you know. Easy enough. The numbers after that tell you what aisle, then what shelf, and then the few letters after that tell you the first letters of the author's name, which tells you where it is on the shelf since they're alphabetical." She looked back up at him, hoping he'd followed along. "Sounds complicated, but it's really simple. Want to try and find this one?"

James paid careful attention to everything that she said, for she was really doing this for his benefit and he was really quite grateful for that. "Alright, I suppose that that makes sense. Doesn't mean it's the easiest way of organizing the books though. I guess we can try and find this one by Wilscott," he said, glancing down at the book and then looking back up at Pansy. "That is if you continue to hold my hand every step of the way," he said with a grin. He hadn't meant it like, literally holding his hand. More of the 'guiding' kind. "So aisle three, shelf two and then the last name is Wilscott," he said, beginning to head back towards the charms section. "I really do appreciate this," he said kindly.

Pansy laughed softly and followed him away from the guide book, back to the charms section. "Of course, it's no problem. Just means one less person wandering uselessly around the library for me to have to try and work around." She smirked and let him lead the way, letting him find the aisle and shelf they needed for the book, and then waiting for him to go find where the Wilscott book was. She crossed her arms lazily and leaned against the shelf, watching him walk down the aisle and glance at the books. Pansy waited patiently, figuring he'd be able to get it without a problem. So far he hadn't proved himself stupid or cocky or arrogant or ungrateful or anything else the Gryffindors were supposed to be, so perhaps there was hope after all, even for a Potter. Suddenly she realized this wasn't the only Potter she was friends with, and she spoke up with her question. "Hey, you're not related to Al Potter, are you?"

James was very careful about making sure the aisle number was correct. When he got to the shelf number aspect, it took him a moment before he correctly decided on which shelf was shelf two. The next part though, was definitely the hardest. It required him to really know his alphabet and make sure that he got the letters correct. "S...T...U...V...W," he mumbled under his breath, moving past the shelf as he recalled the alphabet. He was rather pleased with himself for not messing up the alphabet, for that would be really embarrassing if he did mess up. GOOD THING HE DIDN'T. Isn't Grandpa Potter proud? He glanced up from the books and over at Pansy. "Oh, yeah...he's my younger brother. I'm guessing you know him since you're both Slytherins." Pansy better freaking NOT say anything about Scorpal. It is too soon to break James. Too soon. "I haven't really talked to him recently," he said with a small shrug, before looking back at the shelf. "A-ha!" he said, pulling the Wilscott book off the shelf. "Here it is!" he said, completely and positively pleased with himself.

Grandpa Potter is very proud of his little namesake for impressing the girl who was essentially queen of Slytherin. He's secretly cheering for James to show her up and one-up her, but Pansy's insisting that that is quite impossible for him to do, at least while in a library. Quidditch, maybe, but not in here, as the library is her playground. She smiled as he said Al was his little brother, but Pansy had zero intentions of ever ever saying anything about Scorpal to him. She'd promised her bff she would keep it to herself, and so she shall. "Ah, I thought so. Yeah, I met him a few weeks ago through a mutual friend, actually. He's a good guy. Funny you two don't look that much alike even if you are both sexy as hell." She walked over toward him as he pulled a book from the shelf. "Nicely done! Now you're a library pro, huh?" She laughed, smiling up at him and enjoying the fact that he looked so pleased with himself.

James wouldn't even know how to show her up. Quidditch? Maybe. Flirting? Perhaps. Other than that, Dom isn't quite sure what JSP is good at yet. Scorpius is extremely relieved that his BFF isn't going to say anything, for he's not ready for the world to know yet. "Let me guess, you met him through the Scorpius guy," he said, trying to keep his tone even. After all, making bad comments about Scorpius probably wasn't in the best interest in front of the pretty Slytherin that was helping him. "He takes after my dad, the hair and eyes...wheres I've got my Granddad's eyes." Granddad meaning Arthur. Yeppers. "I guess I am going to be a library pro. Though, I'm not sure how often I'm really going to be coming in here. I just don't know if it's the place for me yet," he said with a grin.
