Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy laughed. "Yeah, the Scorpius guy. He's a good friend of mine. We pretty much grew up together." She looked at his eyes when he mentioned them, strangely not having noticed before just how lovely they actually were. "I see. Quite different, but I can tell you're brothers. You've got the same nose perhaps. And the library, well, you'll learn to love it, I think. Even if you're not looking for books, it's a nice quiet place. You can get away in here. Loads of places to hide away for a while." She nodded, because the library really was a perfect retreat for her, and she loved it here.
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
James figured he really had to keep all Scorpius comments to himself then, for he didn't want Pansy to get defensive and mad. It wasn't James' fault though that he didn't like Scorpius. He just...wasn't all that fond of his little brother hanging out with a Malfoy. Hmm. I guess it would be bad to mention that Pansy is really tight with the Malfoys. Though, James' opinion will eventually change when he actually gets to know Scorpius. WAIT. SHOOT. HE'S NOT GOING TO BE HANGING OUT WITH SCORP THOUGH. That'd be really weird. "I suppose it is rather nice and quiet. I can see the appeal," he said with a smile. "The last time I was in here though...I got lost. I had been a second year actually, ages ago, thinking that the library might be a cool place. Ending up getting lost some where in the defense section. I grew bored of wanting to try and find my way out, so I created a fort out of the books. When Madam Pince found me, she had a fit. She actually ended up grabbing my ear and dragging me out of the library by it. I don't think my ears have been even since."

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Yes, he should probably keep his anti-Scorp comments to himself unless he wants a fight. Pansy laughed good-naturedly at his story, especially so at the end. She could only imagine the scene of Pince finding a kid in a book fort. She had a hard enough time with Pansy's piles of books she was actually reading. "You know," Pansy reached up touching his hear gently. "I think she may have stretched it... this one is a bit larger." She stayed serious for a moment, looking at his ear, before she finally cracked a smile at him. "Oh, I'm only joking. But I can imagine that would be quite scarring. Honestly, the woman scares even me."
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
James looked slightly horrified when she said that one ear looked longer than the other. He had been joking when he said that one was slightly larger than the other, and now he wanted nothing more than to go and get a mirror and really check. He rolled his eyes and sighed in relief when she said she was joking. "Real funny," he said sarcastically, though smiling widely. "Yes, I've avoided her since. Though, I'm sure Filch put her in a much better mood afterward. I think we all know why he really spends so much time cleaning the library desks."

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy grimaced. "James there are some things I simply do not need to imagine. Even if you're probably right, whether its those two or other students. Unfortunately I've been in here when some people were getting a little friendly. More than once. Makes trying to read interesting, and you're almost afraid to leave should you choose the wrong aisles to walk down and bump right into them. A little awkward, but I guess they like the thrill of it? Who knows. Definitely not my thing." She rolled her eyes in her happy little state of unicorn-ness, a poor unicorn who has been in the same general area as people having sex far too many times for her own good. He just had to bring that up didn't he? Scorpius is probably enjoying Pansy's discomfort at mentions of sex.
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
James couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction. It had been a fact that he had grown used to, so the idea of Pince and Filch no longer creeped him out that much. He couldn't help but agree that that sort of thing wasn't his thing either. He's all about talking the talk, but James has never walked the walk...so to speak. "Not my thing either," he admitted, toying with the cover of the book as he looked at her and shrugged. He wasn't sure what it was, but he felt comfortable around Pansy and felt like he didn't have to appear to be the arrogant or overly confident guy he usually portrayed. "I guess until we're in that sort of position, we won't quite understand why they like it." Of course Scorpius is enjoying it. OF. COURSE.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Huh. Just realized technically these two could still make PB&J feasible without it being two of my own characters, hahaha. Not that it's going to happen, it just amuses me. Anyway, she shrugged at him. "Yeah, I suppose eventually we'll figure it out, huh?" She smiled at him, realizing he must be a unicorn just like her. And then they fist bumped because they're epic. "Need any other books for your homework? I think this section is mostly Fidelus Charms, they're sort of organized together in rows. Fidelus here in alphabetical order, Aguamenti over there, you know. I suppose good organization is hard with so many books on so many topics."
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Well, as awesome and amazing as my characters are, I think having Pansy cheat on Draco for another one of them would just be bad. Really bad. James figured he ought to be embarrassed, having just admitted that he was a unicorn, but for some reason he didn’t. He knew that Pansy wasn’t going to tease him for it so he had no trouble telling her the truth. “I suppose grabbing one more book wouldn’t hurt,” he said, glancing back at the shelf and picking a few off and reading the titles. He finally found one that seemed to be perfect for his essay and stacked it on top of his other book. “You know, now I understand why Pince was so mad when I took nearly a hundred books off the shelf. It must have taken ages to reorganize them and place them back on the shelf. Maybe I should go apologize,” he mused with a grin. “Write her a sonnet or sing a song, expressing my gratitude and love for her meticulous organization.”

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy laughed at him, imagining the old woman's face at receiving a sonnet about her library troubles. "I'm positive that she'd love that. Filch might get a little jealous perhaps. Might just cause a little interesting Hogwarts staff drama. Definitely would be hilarious if you sent it anonymously, say with a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates, and of course making sure that Filch would be there when she got it. Now there would be something worth watching." The mental image is killing me, Filch with his mouth hanging open in shock, Mrs. Norris hissing at the flowers because they're too bright or something, Mme. Pince trying not to blush at the anonymous display of affection. Filch would probably try and take credit for it himself, greedy squib.
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
The more that Pansy went on about it, the more that James really did want to write the woman a sonnet. Perhaps an epic poem? That was always a good option too. “That’s actually…a brilliant idea!” he said excitedly. “I can picture it all perfectly. It’s been ages since I’ve done a good prank. Last one I did, I was forced to clean the boys bathroom. Let me tell you, that was a horrifying experience. Boys are absolute slobs. This though…this is perfect, as long as I don’t get caught.” He thought for a moment, trying to think of how the poem would start. “It all started when I saw your nose in a book; Just one glance at you, that’s all it took. The way that your hair fell into your face; caused me to falter and my heart to race. Sweet Merlin, this is going to absolutely amazing,” he said with a wide grin.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
"Hey, not too shabby. I'll bet cleaning that bathroom was pretty bad, but if we go about this properly, you won't get caught. I can hook you up with the chocolate and flowers if you'd like. I get some from my fan club pretty much every day anyway. I'll just steal some from Astoria's chocolate stash, Merlin knows she won't miss it in that hoard she's got under her bed. And the greenhouses and usually empty enough to steal from as well." She thought a bit more, and realized this really could work out rather perfectly. "Depending on when you wanted to do this, I could probably get the stuff now."
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
James eyes widened when he realized that this prank could totally occur right now. "Really?" he asked excitedly. "I mean, if it's not any trouble. I know that the Slytherin common room isn't that close to here." He figured revealing just how he knew that would not be that great of an idea. "I mean, it shouldn't take me that long to pen a nice poem. I'd much rather do that then write the stupid charms essay. Plus, I happen to know from a trusty source that Filch tends to visit the library everyday around four-thirty," he said with a grin. James knew Filch's schedule rather well. After all, it was quite necessary when needed to avoid getting caught for pranks.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy smirked at him and his collection of knowledge that he should technically not have. "It's no problem. I'm quick. You get writing, and I'll be back before you finish." She hurried out of the library, headed first for the greenhouses since they were a bit further away, and then she'd go down to the dungeons to get the chocolates before heading back up to the library.
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
"Alright," James said with a wide grin. Once she had left the library, he moved over to a table and quickly began to pen a poem. It won't be as long as Sansy, but Dom is working on it. Mhmm. So, whenever Pansy returns, she'll stop writing. Uh, Pansy better show up eventually though. Dom won't keep writing it all night long.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
*doesn't show up for two days* LOL JOKES.
Pansy got to the greenhouses without a problem, grabbing a bunch of flowers and arranging them a bit, tying a ribbon around their stems before she hurried down to the Slytherin dormitories. She snuck through the common room and up to her dorm, grabbing a heart-shaped box of chocolates from Astoria's trunk before heading back up to the main part of the castle and up to the library. She hid the flowers and chocolate as well as she could with a slight shrinking charm, sneaking back through the aisles until she found James again. "Told you I was quick." She smirked and sat down the flowers and chocolate, pulling her wand out again to put them back to normal size. "How's the poem looking?"

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
OH HARDY HAR HAR. YOU'RE SO FUNNY.
James glanced up from the parchment when he heard Pansy's voice. "That looks brilliant!" he noted as he looked at the chocolate and flowers. "I think it's alright," he said with a small shrug. "Wanna see it before sending it over to her?" he asked. He slid it across the table to her, wondering for a moment how they were going to get it to Pince. Perhaps levitating it was the best plan, for he didn't want Pince to have any sort of idea of who was in on the prank. "Hope she doesn't faint or something," James said, very much so assuming that Pince doesn't receive many love letters.
And the poem:
It all started when I saw your nose in a book
Just one glance at you, that’s all it took.
The way that your hair fell into your face,
Caused me to falter and my heart to race.
The way your eyes lit when perusing the shelves,
I first noticed you at the mere age of twelve.
Some had claimed you were strict, though I had known better,
The thought of you makes my penis much wetter.
How I wish you would notice me, I’m not quite your sort,
But I would do anything to take you in a book fort.
Irma, my darling, please leave that other man!
I’m so much better than Filch’s dirty hands.
I could show you the world, I would treat you right,
The two of us together would be quite a sight.
Jealousy would plague everyone we would see,
But I wouldn’t care, for you’d be with me.
How I long to touch you, long for one kiss,
The idea of you with anyone else is amiss.
Give me a chance, just say yes please,
Irma Pince, will you go on a date with me?

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
IT HAS BEEN WAY TOO LONG AND I APOLOGIZE BUT I'M FINALLY HOME AND REMEMBERED THIS SCENE SORRRRYYY <3
Oh look at my post before, I joked about not showing up a while. HA. IT HAPPENED.
"Sure, let me check this out." She laughed and took the paper from him, reading it over and smiling the entire time. "James, that's great. That's really.. that's perfect." Pansy was trying not to laugh too much, because she was laughing at it's brilliance and not at it being bad or anything, she just wasn't sure if he'd know she was laughing in the good way or not. "Anyway, now how will we go about getting this up there?" She got to work folding up the letter in a perfect little flower shape, sticking it on top of the box of chocolates and fixing the ribbon on the flowers. "It's all ready to go. Should we rope up a first year and get them to drop it off, or maybe drop it by when she's not looking ourselves, or then again we could levitate it over. We are a witch and wizard after all." She smirked at him, picking up the box and flowers and holding them, ready to send them over to the old librarian.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
IT'S FINNNNNE. I've had a busy week with finals and whatnot, so it's no big deal. THANK GOODNESS IT IS ALL OVER NOW!
Well, James is used to people laughing at the pranks that he does, so he's assuming that her laughter was a good thing. He was relieved when she said it was good, for he did work rather hard on it. After all, Pince had to be seriously wooed and the poem had to be very convincing. James watched in slight awe as she folded the letter into a flower, for it really added quite the nice touch to the whole thing. "Very nice," he complimented with a smile. He thought about their options for a minute, thinking of how any of them would work out rather well. "Let's go with the last option. After all, Wingardium Leviosa is one of the few charms that I actually mastered rather well after all these years," he grinned. He took the box and flowers from her, then placed them on the table and muttered the levitating charm. Watching as they floated on over, he sat them right on her front desk and moved to a position so that he could watch Pince's face when she finally noticed it.

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy nodded and let him charm the gifts to float up to the librarian's desk, and then moved to stand behind him, watching just over his shoulder to wait for the woman to notice them. She didn't look up at first, so Pansy pulled out her wand and nudged them with a small levitating charm of her own, just enough to get the old librarian to notice. She chewed on her lip, waiting patiently, and eventually their silence paid off. Pince looked up and noticed her gifts, reaching tentatively toward them as she glanced around for whoever had dropped it off. Seeing no one, she tugged the note off the box and opened it, reading and quite obviously blushing as she did so. She opened the box, her eyes growing wide at the masses of chocolate inside. Carefully selecting one, she ate it as if it was going out of style, and the first piece was followed by another, and another, and another as she kept reading the letter and touching the flowers carefully, smelling them and positively beaming. "Well I think we've made her day. I've never seen her blush so much!"
Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
AND...TWO POSTS. I am on a roll.
James was a little annoyed when Madame Pince didn't notice the items. Watching as Pansy nudged them slightly, he was rather relieved that she did, for he was about to sigh and complain about their chosen plan. After all, the last place he wanted to be sitting around in for hours was the library. Sure, he had finally been taught how to look for books, but it wasn't a place he wanted others to really catch him in. Goodness, what would his brother say if he caught him? James couldn't help but grin as he watched Pince's reaction. In fact, the whole moment was quite like the scene in Clueless when they send their teacher a rose and letter. At least in the movie Cher and Dionne didn't have evil intentions. "I almost feel slightly guilty..." James began as he continued to stare at Pince. "Nahhhhh. The old bat deserves it all. I need to remember that my ears aren't even thanks to her."

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Pansy laughed and reached for his ear again. "Maybe we can even them out if I pull on it enough, what do you think?" She smirked at him and tugged it a little, but not too much because she didn't really want to hurt him or anything, and his ears weren't really lopsided anyway. She turned back to the librarian, watching as the woman pulled out some parchment and an exceptionally fancy quill and began to write. "Wonder what she's writing? I'd say that bright purple ink isn't saved for just letters of business." Pansy glanced at the books on the shelf they were hiding behind, picking up one of them and heading up toward the librarian's desk. "I'd like to check this one out, please." Pince hid that paper faster than anything and quickly told Pansy just to take it, all flustered. A very amused smile spread across Pansy's lips as she flounced over toward the library door, looking behind her at where James was still hiding, tilting her head for him to follow. She stopped at the door, trying not to laugh too loudly. "'Oh, dearest Argus'... She's writing him a thank you letter!"

*blinks*
WELL. It's been a month. But you don't hate me...right? Maybe you should hate me over the fact that I forgot and that Luna had to remind me <.<
BUT HEY. Now I remember and now I WILL continue. Promise.
James is seriously going to go and look in the mirror as soon as he leaves the library. After all, he's starting to feel pretty convinced that his ears are in fact uneven now. He glanced over back at Filch, amused to see that she was busy writing a letter of some sort. "Whatever it is I'm sure it's go-" but he broke off as Pansy moved over to where Pince was. He remained where he was, quiet as he watched Pansy talk to Pince and then head towards the doors. Immediately taking the hint when she motioned with her head, he grabbed his bag and then made his way towards the exit of the library. Once outside the door, his eyes widened at what she said and he felt offended. "Wait, she thinks Argus wrote it?! But...but...he doesn't even know how to write! Of all the people, why would he have sent that!"

Re: The Library: Between The Stacks
Oh, I'd forgotten about this scene too, hahahaha. We started it FOREVER AGOOOOO. XD
I don't hate you though. I will always love you
Pansy was laughing, trying her best to do so quietly. "She probably fantasizes that he's learned to write, just for her. Oh how romantic, he's mastered the ability to put thoughts to paper to express his love. I guess he'd have to master the ability to 'think' first. That's some major dedication he's got for her, at least in her creepy little dreams! Who knows, we never said she was logical! After all, tugging on your poor ears to get you out of her library, what kind of awful woman would do that?" She smirked at him, glancing at his ears, which were quite even. "They're fine by the way. You can stop worrying. Oh... wait." She squinted, tilted her head, touched each of them in comparison to where it was level on his cheek, pretended to measure. "No, no. Nevermind. You're good. Nice and symmetrical."

"They've got quite the odd romance," he noted, wrinkling his nose a bit. "If that's the kind of thing that she dreams about, then I feel sorry for the old bat. Then again, I feel sorry for her because of who she is with. Why in the world would she be with Filch in the first place? She might be crazy and a bit illogical, but I think she deserves more than him." He stopped and stared at her, eyes narrowing slightly. "I'm going to have to start carrying a mirror around in my pocket if you make any more comments about my ears. What if I become self-conscious of them? What if turn into one of the people that looks into every mirror, piece of metal, puddle of water even, just to make sure his ears are even? Wouldn't you feel bad teasing me?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest yet allowing a small smile to slip on his face.
