"In that case, I just might have to get one too!" Jenna reached out for the shelf with the lollipops and in getting it, narrowly missed dropping several sugar quills. "Hey, maybe we should get one of these for Kras! I think he'd like it."

Reed was still staring at the giant sucker and nodded. "Yup." He grabbed another one and finally tore his gaze away. "Hmm, maybe I should find things he could put into some cookies! That would be awesome! The thought of some of these candies in his cookies is a little too much to think about."

"I'm already having enough trouble concentrating with all of this candy in my arms, don't make it worse or I might end up dropping it all." Jenna stuck her tongue out at Reed and continued walking, looking for some sort of chocolate chippy thing for Kras.

[Reed Dawson]

Reed stuck his tongue out as well. "What about these." He was looking at some sort of chocolate that was filled with either peanut butter, caramel, or creamy chocolate. "Those would be fun to bit into. It would be like a surprise." He grabbed a couple packs of those and continued looking around.

"Oh! Those do look good, maybe I'll grab a pack for my stash." She reached out, and in the process, dropped a sugar quill or two but it was okay because she had more than enough to last her until the next Hogsmeade trip.

[Reed Dawson]

Reed looked around and didn't really see anything else that caught his fancy, knowing he still had the huge stash back in his room, he just couldn't help himself. "Okay. I'm done, anything else you want to look at?"

[Jenna Wood]

"Not really, I think I have enough candy to satisfy my sweet tooth for at least two or three months! Let's pay and then head back to the common room to get started on all of this amazing stuff!" Jenna grinned, the prospect of all of this candy made her a very happy person.

[Reed Dawson]

Reed smiled and went back to the counter and placed all of his new stuff. He apologized to the store clerk as she slowly started adding everything "Sorry, I know this is a lot." He turned back to Jenna. "Yeah, we can eat while we work on homework, or you can come and see some of my paintings. Whatever you wanna do."

[Jenna Wood]

"Oh! Oh! I wanna see some of your paintings! Word is around the castle that you are the next Picasso or something along those lines" Jenna nodded vigorously, and reached into her pocket and dug out a variety of galleons, sickles and knuts.

[Reed Dawson]

Reed threw his head back and laughed loudly. "Oh that's hilarious. I'm no Picasso, not nearly as good or as abstract. But I guess that's flattering that people think that." The clerk finally finished adding everything and stuffing the candy into bags. Reed fished out his money and paid without even paying any attention to how much he was spending.

"Here" Jenna said, handing him her handful of galleons and sickles. "We'll split the cost." Jenna smiled at him, and made sure that he took the money.

[Jenna will not let Reed pay! That is way too much candy for one person to pay for!]

[Reed Dawson]

[AND REED WILL REFUSE.]

"Ah! No way dude!" He backed away from the money as though it were something extremely hot. "You put that away! I told you I was paying! I will not allow you to pay. This is my treat to you!"

[NOOO WAY THAT'S LIKE, A LOT OF GALLEONS!]

"No! That is waaayyy tooo much candy for you to pay for by yourself. We're splitting the cost even stephen!" Jenna stomped her foot and humph'd, a little pissed that he was ignoring her wishes.

[Reed Dawson]

[REED DOESN'T CARE. HE WILL NOT ALLOW IT.]

Reed shook his head furiously. "Nope. Not happening. I told you before, I have more than enough money and I have nothing else to spend it on. Please let me buy this for you. Pleeeaaaaasseeeee."

[THERE IS NO WAY THAT JENNA AND I ARE LETTING REED PAY MERLIN KNOWS HOW MANY GALLEONS FOR ALL OF THAT CANDY!]

"We are splitting the cost, and that is that. No exceptions. You've done more than enough already. You were my first friend here, I'm the one who owes you"

[HE WILL NOT BACK DOWN.]

Reed narrows his eyes and continues to shake his head. "Jenna. No. I'm paying. End of story, non negotiable. Now say thank you." He pushed his money forward, still really not knowing how much everything was.

[GRRRRRGRRRR]

Jenna, fast as a bolt of lightning, slammed down her money at the same time that Reed did. "HA!" She told him, and did a little victory dance. All the while, the person at the register had been watching the two of them with amusement, and at Jenna's newest antic, he burst out laughing.

[Reed Dawson]

Reed knew how to play this game. He slid in front of Jenna and put on his charming face and spoke to the clerk. "Please don't accept her money. We're on our first date and it would be unchivalrously horrible of me to allow her to pay." He smiled smoothly and the clerk nodded, taking sides with Reed almost immediately.

[Okay. I need to go make dinner quick. Be back in like 30 mins ]

Jenna turned a violent shade of crimson, you'd think she was a Gryffindor at a Qudditch game. "REED DAWSON!" she screeched. "HOW DARE YOU PLAY THE FIRST DATE CARD! YOU'RE PRACTICALLY MY LITTLE BROTHER!" Satisfied that the clerk was sufficiently taken aback, she grinned evilly and let out a slightly maniacal laugh.

Reed looked truthfully hurt. "Ouch. I'm offended." He turned to the clerk. "I've been put in the friend zone. I feel pretty sad right now." He slumped onto the counter miserably. "You hurt me Jenna. You hurt me real bad."

[Jenna Wood]

"Or I would have if you weren't already in luurrrvvvveee with someone else!" Jenna dared him to argue with her piercing blue-grey eyes, that people had told her could sometimes be a bit unsettling and glared at him for what he was doing.

[Reed Dawson]

[this is too weird how similar looking they are....]

Reed put a hand to his heart. "Ouch again. You should have told me there was another before you agreed to this date with me. I guess it's good I'm buying all this candy, so I can wallow in self pity while stuffing my face until I get fat. I hope you're happy." The clerk was looking a bit wary now, wondering if this really was a lover's quarrel.

[Jenna Wood]

"I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about you and your relationship. Last time I checked, things were going along quite nicely and this, was supposed to be a best friend/brother-sister type thing. Remind me to never come here with you again. I'll just come with Tonks, she doesn't make this much of a fuss when someone tries to pay for her own chocolate and sugar quill stash!"

[Reed Dawson]

Reed held his hands up defensively. "Hey! I'm just trying to be nice here. You know, be a gentleman. But if you want to be stubborn. Fine." He crossed his arms across his chest then gasped. "Aww. Our first fight." He wiped away a fake tear and grabbed Jenna into a bear hug. "This is a moment to remember."

Jenna stood there, in complete and utter disbelief when Reed started fake crying and whining about their 'first fight'. And, when he reached out to bear hug her, she didn't know what to do, she was shocked at the antics of her friend but reached out awkwardly to pat his back anyway. "Dear Melin! You're suffocating me, and you're also still not paying."
