Ted stared at Arthur for a moment before smacking him across the face. "If you ever let a girl hear you saying that you'll get more than a slap."

Arthur wiped his cheek. He needed that; thinking about his words in retrospect only made them sound terrible. "Merlin, I'm an idiot, aren't I?" Arthur put his head in his lap.

Ted patted him on the back, "You're not an idiot, you're just emotionally overwhelmed and you need to reorganize your brain."

"I think I need a new brain," Arthur said, sighing. "How do you manage to keep things together, Ted? Because you seem like a fairly emotionally stable guy. Nothing seems to phase you, even lunatics like me."

Ted patted him on the back, "Practice and luck." Ted tilted his head to the side and thought about it, "Yeah. Just accepting things and either planning a way to make them better or moving on."

"Oh," Arthur said. Why did Ted make things so easy? It must have been his Muggle background, for Muggles seemed to understand things a lot more than wizards. "But that sounds too easy. Things like this aren't easy; they're more difficult than kicking a footieball in the goal, and you know how I struggled with that."

Ted nodded, "Yes but you did the get the football in the goal. You just needed practice and more than one try. You fell over the first time but you were so excited you just got right back up and tried again." Tam is laughing over this metaphor because it also implies that Ted has been handling the ladies since grade school. Damn he's good.

Molly also makes him incredibly happy.]

"Wow," Arthur said, amazed by Ted's intelligence. Somehow, things made more sense when compared to a Muggle sport Arthur barely understand. "I can get up! I am an amazing footsieball player! I will get a girl!"

Ted shook his head, "Not right now. I'm not really looking though. I like to think that if I meet someone then I'll just know. And I'm working on so much other stuff right now that if I find someone then great but if I don't then I'm fine with that too." What is it with all these well-adjusted men in my head?

"Good idea. I should probably adopt it - might be better for my sanity," Arthur replied. "So, do you have another footieball news or information? I did some reading on Muggle sports - it talked about rugbees and crickets and all other sorts of insects. What do you know about these?"

Ted laughed, "Rugby and cricket aren't insects. And I love Rugby, cricket is more of my dad's sport but I'm alright at it. Rugby is more of a tackle and physical sport than football. I don't know how good you'd be at it."

"Wow. Muggles have really strange names for their sports. Do you hit the ball with your feet in crickets and rugbees, like in footieball?" Arthur asked. Muggle sports were extremely fascinating, in his opinion. Plus they had a tendency to distract Arthur almost as well as pretty girls did.

Ted shook his head, "They're all really different. Cricket you use a bat and rugby you use your hands." Ted almost wants to unleash Arthur on the muggle world with all his mispronunciations, it would be so funny.
