Parvati turned as she heard Scorpius and Al apparate behind them and grinned widely, she had never really seen Al with Scorpius and it made her happy just to see her friend happy and with his boyfriend. When Scorpius mentioned her tattoo she completely forgot that James didn't know and just simply replied to him. "Oh it's great! All the redness is gone and it looks exactly how I imagined it!" She said grinning. "Thanks again for doing it for me." Parvati followed behind James when he gestured for her to follow him inside and tried not to make it that obvious as she glanced around the house slightly. When he said that his parents would love her she let out a small sigh of relief. "I sure hope so." She said and gave him a small smile.

Al smiled over at Scorpius, then pulled his hand away. He really didn't need his dad to see him holding hands with another guy before he got the chance to tell him everything first, though he did regret it as soon as he felt the lack of contact from his boyfriend. He didn't set his bag down like the others, but instead turned to Scorpius while still holding his duffel. "We can probably just put the stuff in my room," he suggested, unsure of where his parents were because they're sort of nonexistent right now.

Scorpius immediately felt the loss of comfort when Al released his hand, but he knew that it really was for the best. Having Al's father find out like that would be one of the worst possible ways. Well, after Mr. Potter catching the two of them in some compromising sexual position. Which wasn't going to happen. Still, Scorpius was rathe surprised by what Al said. "You really think your parents would be alright with that?" he asked softly. "Or at least... you think your mum would be?"

Harry heard his sons come in with their friends from upstairs and walked downstairs from the bedroom after totally getting it on with his hot wife whose boobs he loved. He grinned widely as he saw them all just chilling by the stairs and walked over to them all. "James, Al." He said with a grin as he walked up to them. ~~His face dropped completely as he saw Parvati though. "Parv you still have not graduated?"~~ He looked over at Scorpius and gave him a small nod. "Scorpius." He said, forcing a small smile before looking over to the girl that was standing a little bit too close to James to be just a friend. "Uhh, James, who's your friend?" He asked curiously, his eyes glancing back to Scorpius for a second before he looked at James.

Ginny Weasley March 25th 2011, 5:53 am

Mama Ginny had been busy in the kitchen when the kids arrived. Not because she's a women and fulfilling some feminist jokes, but because she had quite the dinner to prepare for all four teenagers, three of which were teenage boys. Hearing James voice though alerted her to the fact that the kids were home. Turning down the stove, she then walked out of the kitchen and into the family room. "I was wondering when you guys would get in," she smiled, instantly giving James and Al big hugs. She then turned to the two guests, not surprised to see Scorpius but a bit surprised to see that James had brought a girl home. "Hi Scorpius," she said, giving him one of her motherly hugs before turning to the girl. "Hi, I'm Mrs. Potter. Are you and James..." she broke off, realizing that they must be. Why else would her son bring a girl home? "Well, it's either that or he confunded you, which I doubt he did."

James was starting to realize that perhaps he should have alerted his parents to the fact that he was bringing a girl home. He just...doesn't think about these things though. "Oh, err...this is Parvati Patil," he introduced. "And no mum, she is not confunded," he said while rolling his eyes. "She's my girlfriend. We've been dating for a quite a bit," he said with a smile. "I just...I didn't really want to tell you in a letter. I didn't think that it was a good way of giving you the news," he said, hoping his parents weren't annoyed with the lack of news from him on the whole relationship.

Parvati bit her lip lightly when she realized that neither James' mom or dad knew that she was coming and glanced over at him as he explained to them that they had been dating for a while now. When he was done she looked back at both of his parents and smiled at them. "Hi." She said with a wide smile, not really sure what else to say because she was slightly nervous about meeting them and she didn't want to seem too talkative and friendly but she also didn't want to seem like some girl who never talked. "Nice to meet you, both of you." She said as she gave them both a smile.

Al refrained from rolling his eyes. Really? She had to go and hug his boyfriend? Malfoys were not huggers, so he was really not expecting that to happen. Whatever. "Hey mom, dad," he greeted with the smallest hint of a smile, too nervous to give them anything more than that. He glanced over at Scorpius as the attention turned to James and his girlfriend. Scorp was probably right in assuming they wouldn't be able to sleep together, but it was worth a shot.

Well if Luna thought that was a lame post, then this one will be even lamer. See, Scorpius got a little nervous when Mr. Potter entered, because he could kind of sense the tension with him being a Malfoy and all. He was more than surprised when Mrs. Potter gave him a hug, but the gesture was one that he rather welcomed. After all, it was nice to have a motherly figure give him that sort of attention. And now there's nothing more to say here, so this post is over <.<

Harry's eyes widened a bit when James said that he had been dating Parvati for a while now for he was slightly surprised that James got a girlfriend and didn't write home to mom and dad write away. For that was something he had always expected his kids to do. "Well." He said as he glanced over his shoulder at the kitchen. "Your mom has been working on dinner almost all day now and I am sure it's almost done." He said, looking back at the four of them. "So why don't you all go put your bags upstairs and get freshened up for dinner." he said with a wide grin. "Parvati, we don't allow our kids to stay in the same room with their significant others so you can go ahead and put your things in Lily's room." He told her and looked over at James. "James will show you were it is." He told her with a smile.

Ginny Weasley March 25th 2011, 6:40 am

"Oh, well it's very nice to meet you Parvati," Ginny said with a smile. "I'm sure I'll hear more about you during dinner, but Harry's right....it is almost ready so you guys should go and settle your things down." Ginny spared a glance in Al's direction, knowing that there wasn't anything that she could say about Scorpius staying in Al's room with Harry not becoming suspicious. "Yes, Parvati can stay in Lily's room. Scorpius, you're fine in Al's," she said, giving Al a look that communicated no funny business. "Dinner will be in fifteen minutes!" she said before heading back to the kitchen to finish it.

James was more than relieved that his parents didn't seem too fussed over not hearing about Parvati. He knew though that the small interrogation would be happening during dinner. When his mum announced that Parvati would stay in Lily's room, he wasn't too bothered by it because he figured it would happen. The whole Al and Scorpius thing though? That wasn't fair at all. Still, James had more common sense than to raise a hissy fit about it. "Come on Parvati. I'll show you to Lily's room," he said, grabbing their bags and heading up the stairs. After passing the first door on the right, he pushed open the one to Lily's room. "This is it," he smiled as they entered the fairly large bedroom.

Parvati smiled at James and followed him up the stairs and down the hall to the door to Lily's room. She walked in and looked around, feeling a little weird staying in James' sisters room alone. She was also slightly curious as so what Mr. Potter was going to do with the sleeping arrangements once Al came out to him because she would feel quite awkward if he put Scorpius in the same room as her or something. She smiled at James after they were in the room. "It's nice." She said as she looked around and then couldn't help but blurt out. "Do you think they like me?" She asked quickly, because she was really nervous about James' parents liking her.

Al smiled smugly when his mother told him he could share his room with Scorpius. He reached out to grab his boyfriend's hand, but faltered as he realized what he was doing and quickly fixed his mistake by taking Scorpius' bag. "I'll take that," he muttered, feeling sick with himself for having to hide who he was from his father for the timing being.

It really wasn't fucking fair. Why couldn't he just take his boyfriend's hand and walk with him to his room like James and Parvati did? Why was life for him so much more difficult? James brought home a girl and his mother and father really didn't think much of it. They quickly assumed that Parvati was James' girlfriend. James never had to come out. He never had to look his father in the eyes and explain that he liked girls and that he was straight. He just dated girls and everything was fine. Al hated that. Now he finally had a boyfriend but before he could introduce him as such, he had to have a big talk with his father about being gay, and he hated that. Why did he have to come out, yet James didn't? It was just assumed that he was straight. In Al's definition of a perfect world, either no one had to come out, or everyone had to come out. Not this fucking double standard that society forced him to live by.

He avoided looking his parents or boyfriend in the eyes as he took both bags up to his room, not speaking until he shut the door behind Scorpius and dropped both his bags on the ground. And even then he stayed silent as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist and leaned into the taller boy, pressing the side of his slightly scruffy face against Scorpius' chest as he tried not to think too much about what he was there to do.

Scorpius had noticed the way Al's hand had reached out and he gave his boyfriend a curious expression. It was clearly something done out of instinct and habit, yet Scorpius knew better than to take the offered hand. Al managed to hide the gesture up well though, instead grabbing the two bags and heading towards the stairs. Sparing a look at Mr. Potter, he tried to give him what he hoped was a look that communicated 'I am a very nice guy and am a good friend and would very much so like for you to not kill me like you did Voldemort'. He then followed Al up the stairs, remembering exactly where it was as they moved into Al's room.

There was nothing to be said when they were both in the room and the door was shut. His arms wrapped around Al immediately, holding and comforting him and hoping that it would all be alright. For a moment Scorpius thought of how he was lucky in a sense that his father had accidentally walked in on him and Al at the manor. In a cowardly way, Scorpius never had to purposely seek out his father and inform him of the relationship. "Your dad loves you Al," he whispered. "It's going to be okay."

Harry Potter March 25th 2011, 7:23 am

Once the four kids went up the stairs Harry walked back into the kitchen with Ginny so he could ~~help~~ watch her cook dinner. He wasn't really much of a chef himself after all. He leaned over and peeked in the oven to see what was cooking, it sure did smell good whatever it was. "Mmm, smells good." He told her with a grin. He glanced back over to the stairs. "Just let me know when you want me to go up and get the kids." He told her with a nod.

[I HOPE THE WORLD DOES NOT END BECAUSE I'M POSTING THIS NOW AND NOT WAITING MY TURN BUT AL IS LOUD THIS MORNING]

"Scorpius," he murmured against his boyfriend's chest before pulling back and looking up at him. "I don't want to sit through another dinner, pretending to be someone I'm not. I...I think I want to tell him now. Waiting isn't going to make it any easier, and I'm not going to make you spend more time with him while you pretend to be just a friend."

[SINCE DOM WILL BE LEAVING FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG TONIGHT...she will post Scorpius so the Al/Harry scene can occur while she is gone.]

Scorpius watched Al carefully, understanding what his boyfriend meant. "If that's what you want to do, then that's fine," he told his boyfriend. He figured that Al wanted to do it alone and that his presence would probably make the situation worse. "Just remember, James, Parvati, and I are all here for you," he tried to say reassuringly. Removing his arms from around Al, he gently place them on Al's face and kissed him tenderly. "I love you," he murmured when the kiss ended.

Al melted into the kiss, not wanting to leave as soon as he felt Scorpius' lips against his own. "I love you too," he murmured back, casting one last sad look at his boyfriend before he walked out of his room and down the steps into the kitchen.

He smiled slightly as he watched his parents together in the kitchen, and he leaned against the door frame as he stayed silent for a few moments. He almost hesitated and backed out of telling his dad. They could have one last nice dinner without him ruining everything by telling his dad such huge news all of a sudden, right before the entire family sat down for a meal.

"Dad," he managed quietly before he had time to talk himself out of it. "Can I talk to you?"

Harry Potter March 26th 2011, 3:00 am

Harry looked up from where he was standing by the oven and saw Al. When he asked to talk to him he walked over to him by the door and nodded. "Yeah, sure." He said, giving his son a small smile, curious as to what Al wanted to talk about. He placed a slightly firm hand on his sons shoulder and walked over to the living room with him, still standing he asked. "What is it?"

Al glanced over at the couch, before deciding against sitting down. He was starting to feel sick but he took a deep breath and looked his dad in the eyes. His hands were shaking slightly, and he wasn't sure how he managed to stay standing, but he took a deep breath and prepared himself for what he was about to say.

He hadn't prepared a speech or anything. He knew it'd be pointless because he'd only end up messing it up somehow, which would only make him even more nervous and flustered.

"Um..." He trailed off quickly and wrapped his arms around himself as he stumbled over what he was trying to say. "I know you don't really like the Malfoys. That's why I brought Scorpius home with me. I...wanted you to be able to accept him for the person he was, just...just like I need you to accept me...for the person I am." He felt his voice catch in his throat for a moment, causing him to hesitate before continuing in what was practically a whisper. "I'm gay, dad."

Harry Potter March 26th 2011, 3:43 am

Harry looked down at his son and nodded in agreement as he said that he knew how he wasn't a big fan of the Malfoy's. It was true, Harry never was a big fan of the Malfoy family at all but he definitely was going to give Scorpius a chance to prove himself. After all he is his sons best friend so he at least deserved a chance.

At Al's last words his eyes widened slightly. Sure Al had never talked about girls or having a girlfriend but he still didn't expect him to be gay, he thought maybe he was just shy with talking to girls or something along those lines. Gay though, he definitely did not see that coming. He figured he should talk so Al didn't get nervous or anything or freak out at him. "You are? Really?" He asked because he wanted to make sure he heard him correctly. He glanced over at the stairs for a moment, and then focused his gaze back to his son standing in front of him. "Are you with Scorpius?" He asked curiously.

Al wasn't sure how to react to his father's reaction. It was sort of hard to judge what he was thinking just by his facial features, and he hadn't said much yet so Al just nodded his head and kept his arms wrapped safely around himself. "I've been with him for a few months now. We got together sometime before Thanksgiving," he admitted quietly. "And I'm in love with him," he added in a soft, broken whisper.

Harry Potter March 26th 2011, 4:08 am

Harry nodded slightly as he said he has been with him for a few months and when he said he got together with him before Thanksgiving he was a little shocked. Sure his son probably wouldn't have wanted to tell him right away but Christmas break was about a month after Thanksgiving and he thought his son would have told him after a month of deciding, especially if he had been with him for a few weeks. When he added that he was in love with him his eyes widened slightly as he looked down at him. No a Malfoy was not ideal for who we wanted his son to fall in love with, but if Scorpius really was different and if he made his son happy then that was all that mattered. "Well, as long as you're happy, I am happy," He told him quietly, still a bit in shock from the news but completely accepting Al for who he was. "And thank you for telling me," He added. "I'm glad you know you don't have to keep something like that a secret from me."

Al's jaw dropped slightly and he looked down at the ground, then back at his dad. His breath was shaky but he forced himself to keep going anyway. "I wanted to tell you sooner, I did. But...Scorpius' parents...When they found out...they- they kicked him out, and I was scared you'd do something similar," he admitted quietly, his voice cracking slightly as he realized his father still loved him and that all his worrying had been for nothing. "I'm sorry."
