Al reached over and took Scorpius' hand, intertwining their fingers and letting their hands rest on top of the comforter together. He looked down at their hands together, wishing that Scorpius could spend the night. Not that he wasn't excited about rooming with Parvati. He just would have liked being able to fall asleep with Scorpius in his bed. "Yeah. Yeah, he is," he agreed as he picked up Scorpius' hand, carefully playing with his fingers and tracing designs on his palm. "He definitely cares about me, that's for sure," he commented absentmindedly.

He led her down the hall a bit and to his bedroom, pushing the door open before entering. "Well, this is it," he said with a small shrug. It was a fairly nice sized bedroom with blue walls, the bed against one of the walls. "That wall," he said pointing to the one the bed was against, "Is where the mural was. My dad got rid of the day after my little...episode," he admitted to her.

Scorpius gave Al's hand a gentle squeeze when it reached out to hold his. He watched as his hand was lifted, somewhat distracted by the designs being traced on his hand. "Hmm," he hummed. "He really does Al. He just wants to make sure you're happy and he really does love you. It's nice to see that. Definitely different from the stories I had grown up hearing about the Potters," he said. "I had always been told to stay away from Potters and Weasleys. Well, look how that turned out in the end," he grinned.

Parvati looked around the room when she walked in, admiring everything in it. It was a pretty nice room and it definitely fit James. Her favorite part was the window, well her favorite part after the bed, because she loved windows. It was her favorite part of almost every room she had ever been it. When he started talking about the mural she looked over at the wall and then back to him and smiled. "Well, I'm glad it's gone." She said, a wide smile spread across her lips. "I would hate to wake up in the middle of the night to hear you screaming from your room." She said with a teasing grin on her face. She couldn't help herself but to tease him about it a little. It was hard not to.

"Mmm," Al murmured in agreement, not taking his eyes off of Scorpius' hands. "And now you're practically one of us. Funny how that worked out. All because you were in the last open compartment on the Hogwarts express," he noted, smiling fondly as he continued tracing the lines of Scorpius' hands, mesmerized with how soft his boyfriend's hands were, compared to his own calloused hands and fingers.

"Oh, I'm definitely glad that it's gone," he agreed. "That creepy deer was just always watching me," he shuddered. "But, I no longer have to worry about it." He almost made a comment about how he used to have a stuffed animal that was a deer that he had had when he was little, but he didn't want to give her more material to tease him with. After all, digging a whole in the garden and then sticking the animal in it to bury it was definitely something she would have teased him about. "I just...deer aren't my thing. I like dogs though!" he grinned.

Scorpius thought to himself how he really didn't mind being one of them. He really did like the Potter family and hoped that he would one day be able to really call him his family. "Oh, that was the only reason you joined me in that compartment?" he asked with a teasing tone. "Well, I guess I ought to thank all the other students for filling up the train compartments. Otherwise we might not have what we do now," he said.

Parvati smiled widely at him, "I love dogs so much," She said with a small nod. "Aw, I miss my dog now that I think of it," She said sadly as she realized she really hadn't seen Alvin since summer vacation. Sure she had seen him over Christmas Break but that was just one day before she left for Australia so she never got to really do any cuddling or bonding with him, which she really enjoyed doing.

"Well, if you want me to be honest then I only sat in that compartment with you because I was hoping I'd get a quickie out of it during the train ride, but you ended up being decent enough to actually hold a conversation with," he explained, his lips twitching into a smirk as he continued watching his fingers as they traced lines along Scorpius' hand.

"I always wanted a dog, but mum said that she would end up being the one to take care of it if she had let me. She then let me get a fish, as if that was an acceptable trade off," he said, rolling his eyes slightly as he moved to sit down on the edge of his bed. "I didn't know you had a dog," he commented. "What kind is it? What's its name?" he asked.

"Oh really," Scorpius replied with an amused expression. "Well, I must say Al, definitely beat me for being horniest eleven year old," he teased his boyfriend with a grin. "Sorry to disappoint you with no quickie. Perhaps on our last train ride I can make it up to you," he suggested. He looked down at his hand as Al's fingers continued to move along it. "That kind of tickles," he murmured. "Especially when you touch my palm."

"I wanted a dog so bad when I was a little girl for my sixth birthday my parents almost bought me one when we were out and they said that that we could bring him home that day and that they would get him after work and so I was super excited and I waited at home all day for them to bring him home." She told him with a small smile. "But then when they got home they didn't have a dog with them and told me we couldn't get him anymore and that they would let me pick out a better birthday present the next day. I spent the entire night in my room crying and I cried myself to sleep and then when I woke up the next morning that dog was in my bed." She said with a light laugh. "He's a chocolate lab, and his name is Alvin."

James listened to her story, imagining a little six year old Parvati getting upset about not getting a dog. It was sad to imagine, though the story had a happy ending and he couldn't help but to smile. "That's a sweet story. Your parents definitely had you fooled," he commented. He couldn't help but let out a light laugh at hearing the dogs name. "Alvin? How in the world did you come up with that name?" he asked.

"Oh, there are a lot of things I could bet you at," he teased, laughing lightly. "I think I'd like that," he replied with a sly grin, bringing his eyes up to meet Scorpius' before dropping them down to his boyfriend's hand, smiling as Scorpius commented on how ticklish it felt. "Does it?" He gently moved his finger to the center of Scorpius' palm, where he knew it'd be more ticklish, and gently drew small circles against the smooth skin. "Your hands are soft..."

Parvati gave him a small, playful glare when he laughed at her creative, amazing name for her dog and gave him a small shove. "Hey, I like the name Alvin." She said with a smile. "It's embarrassing and to be honest, childish." She told him as she looked away, opting to look over at window rather than him for she really didn't feel like explaining why she chose to name her dog Alvin.

"Yeah, it does," Scorpius replied, trying not to think of how much it really did tickle. Perhaps it was the contrast with how Al's slightly rough fingers felt against his hand. He tried not to squirm as Al's finger moved in a circular motion, biting his tongue as he tried staying still. "Oh, yeah," he breathed. "Err, it's the hand lotion I use," he admitted quietly.

"Lotion?" Al glanced up at his boyfriend's face with an amused smile of his own. "That would explain why your hands are so much softer than mine," he chuckled as he turned his attention back to Scorpius' hands, smiling as he trailed his own fingers along Scorpius', not realizing that it might be weird that he was so interested in his boyfriend's hands because to him, all of this just felt natural...and right...and perfect.

James looked at her with a curious expression, really wanting to know what the story was behind the name. "Aww, come on Parv," he said. "Please tell me? If you like the name, then there's no reason to be embarrassed about why you chose it," he pointed out, really wanting to know.

Parvati shook her head and continued to look over at the window, choosing not to look at him because she found herself giving in quite easily whenever she looked right at him. "No, I like it but it's just an embarrassing story." She said, still looking away. "You'll probably laugh at me." She told him quietly, because it was quite a ridiculous reason for why she named the dog Alvin.

"Well, yeah," he admitted, flushing slightly. "Once we got together, I started to really use this fancy hand lotion that I had received from my grandmother one year. I had thought it was a stupid gift, but...it turned out to be rather useful. I dunno, it's stupid," he said with a small shrug, relaxing as he felt Al's fingers moving against his.

"Aww, come on Parv!" he said, wishing she would look at him. "I promise that I won't laugh. Cross my heart," he said, moving a finger over his heart. "I'm just curious is all. I mean, it's not a common name at all. I don't think I've ever met anyone or have heard of an animal named Alvin. Please tell me?" he tried again.

"I don't think it's stupid." Though, of course he would never use lotion himself. He liked his calloused fingers. It helped when he played guitar, so he never was a fan of using lotion. "I like how your hands feel against mine," he murmured softly, before he finally stopped playing with his boyfriend's hand and instead brought it up to his lips to press a soft kiss to the palm of Scorpius' hand.

Parvati slowly turned to look at him and looked up at him. "WhenIwassixtherewasaboyinmyclassnamedAlvin." She said looking down at her lap. "AndhewasreallycuteandIlikedhim." She said all very quickly and looking down at her lap, hoping that he wouldn't make fun of her for naming her dog after a boy that she liked when she was six.

"Oh" Was the only reply that Scorpius could manage for a moment. He was sure that if he told anyone else about how he used the hand lotion ten times a day and had a certain routine and way of putting it on, they would laugh in his face. His relationship with Al though was all about acceptance, so he really shouldn't have worried about admitting anything. He hummed lightly when he felt Al's lips against his hand then said, "I like how rough your fingertips feel. Music is such a big part of you, so it's like it's made a physical imprint. But then, the contrast with how the rest of your hand feels is real nice too."

James just looked at Parvati for a moment and blinked. That was what she was afraid to have told him? He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, it soon turning into a full laugh. "I...I'm sorry," he said, trying to stop himself. "I know I said I wasn't going to l-laugh...but I thought it was going to be something totally different," he said, taking her hand in his. "I thought you were going to tell me this story of how there was a squirrel in your yard that you would call Alvin and it had died because you fed it cookies or something and then named the dog in memory of him," he said seriously.
