Lily blushed and laughed as he pulled her into a hug. "Hey! Sev! I was enjoying laying on the grass, it's soft!" She smiled though, not minding his hug, and sighed, relaxing with his arms around her. This is nice...Sev gives good hugs, and he is actually more comfortable to lean against than a tree or grass.. "Although i'm quite happy that you won't be one of them..silly Sev, they're all darkness...how could you associate with them? You aren't half as mean as they are...darkest thing of you is your opinions of yourself, sometimes, and your hair." She plucked a piece of grass and began twirling it between her fingers, staring off over the lake.

[Poor Sev. Lily is still just like "Yay, friends!" (Yes, Remus, she is)....however CUTE this all is, because I still support Evotter and canon in general if possible. >_> Yes Sev, I think James/Lily can be adorable and sweet as well. ]

Severus let go of her reluctantly and smiled, plucking a blade of grass out of her vibrant hair. "Yeah, not much I can do about the hair. Unless you'd rather I dyed it. How about pink? I always thought I'd look awesome with fuchsia hair!" he joked, looking up at her adoringly.

Lily twisted around to look at him, pretending to look thoughtful. "Hm... I don't know, pink seems to...Ugh. No, maybe a wonderful bright blue, or a lighter brown...maybe even a dark red!" She laughed. "Black hair works for you, Sev. Besides, everyone needs some sort of contrast. Though I wonder, how do you think i'd look with a different hair color? I do love my own hair though...even if it DOES make me look like my head's on fire sometimes. " She played with a strand of her hair, before flipping it over her shoulder and smiling up at Sev.

Severus grinned at her. "Hey, it's April Fool's Day tomorrow, maybe I should go dye my hair bright blue. It'll scare all the first years!" he laughed, staring up at her in wonder as she played with her hair. How can one woman be so perfect? He reached out and brushed a stray strand of hair out of her eyes. "I love your hair," he said with a small smile. I could stay here like this forever, here with you beside me. "And to be fair, you always were a fiery one. You can be quite feisty at times," he teased.

Lily stared at him for a moment, trying to picture her friend with bright blue hair, and burst out laughing. "That's true, it is. Maybe you should, but maybe not. Wouldn't want to terrify all the poor little new kids!" Or give James and Sirius any more ammunition against you. She grinned mischievously, her amusement at the situation reflected in her eyes. "I take it that means you don't think I should dye mine for tomorrow? Also...i'm a Gryffindor aren't I? Red and gold...fiery fits. I don't know about feisty though."

[Sev...angry Lily? What? Lily's been angry only twice on the forum...at Sirius, which was much milder than her angry at James...but that was in the Gryff common room, so most people didn't see it. Unless you're referring to her anger/annoyance at Sev in the books?]

"Lily Evans if you ever dye your hair I will shun you and never forgive you and wear nothing but purple polka dots for the rest of my life!" he declared, quite seriously, before bursting out laughing. "No, Lily. You really are beautiful, just the way you are," he said more quietly, smiling at her, that same adoring look in his eyes.

[I do need to go soon though so if you could leave it would be better, as Severus will never leave your side of his own free will.]
