Lily laughed. "Yeah, it is...but just..pause, every now and then. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air. It's not moving TOO fast or someone would've panicked. It's just a major step for you guys!"

You're right, that's good advice.... well, I think my parents panicked. But honestly, it's not going to stop me... it all just feels right, you know?

"Oh, you told them? I didn't know! No, you definitely shouldn't let them stop you. Remus and you are perfect together." Lily was a bit saddened that her friend's parents weren't more accepting...but it couldn't be helped.

Yeah... *she smiles sadly* They were all 'oh but what about Harry and Ron, what about your studies'... It's like they don't trust me in the least! I shouldn't let myself get worked up over it, really.

Lily shook her head, and put her hand lightly on Hermione's shoulder. "No, you shouldn't. They'll come around. You know i'm here for you, and Remus. If you need anything, just let me know."

*She brings her hand up to lightly cover Lily's for a moment to show her appreciation.*

Lily smiled. "Of course not." She stood up, and offered Hermione her hand to help her up, planning to wander the grounds afterward.

Lily nodded, and decided not to wander, but lay down on the grass, summoning and spreading out a blanket. She easily lay down and fell asleep watching the clouds go by.

She woke up after a while, heading towards the common room but seriously considering returning to the lakeside to sleep.

Lily returned to the lake, and her nap.

Severus walks outside, looking for Lily by her usual spot. He smiles as he sees her asleep by her usual tree, and sits down beside her. He smiles at her for a few moments before kissing her lightly on the cheek to wake her. "Lily," he said quietly.

Lily felt the light touch on her cheek, and his voice say her name. Hey eyes opened and a slight smile crossed her face as she looked up at him. "Sev."

"How are you doing, sleepyhead?" he said with a smile, wrapping her in a warm hug.

"Not as well as I was sleeping! " Lily grinned, and kissed his cheek. "Actually in a very good mood with everything going on...and happy to see you."

She's happy to see me. She's happy to see me. Sev's face lit up with joy as her lips touched his cheek, and once again he had to fight the urge to break out into song and dance. "I don't think I need to tell you that I'm happy to see you as well," he said with a grin.

"It IS nice to hear anyway, though." Lily rested her head against him, feeling the warmth of the day, and his arms around her. "Hey Sev...does this mean we're dating...officially? I mean...here we are...but..." Her voice dwindled. "I just like for things to be clear."

Severus smiled at her, taking her hand in his. "Is that what you want?"

Lily squeezed his hand, and looked him in the eye. "I want things to be clear, Sev. I like you...a lot. It's wonderful to be here with you, as more than a friend. I don't want to think that this doesn't mean anything, that it was just a temporary thing. What I want is a longer relationship than all that, not a casual date or friend-with-benefits. You..told me you loved me. I'm guessing, hopefully not incorrectly, this is what you want too. I've got my other reasons, but I want you to be happy as well. So...yes. I suppose it is what I want. "

Severus looked even happier than he had a moment ago, if that was even possible. "Lily, it's what I've wanted forever. Yes, I want this. I want you," he said, touching her lightly on the cheek and pecking her on the lips. "I meant it when I said it."

Lily blushed, then smiled and hugged him for a moment. "Thank you Sev." Pulling herself out of the hug, she leaned against him with a sigh. "I'm sorry it took you so long to get what you wanted, if this is it."

"Don't say that. Don't be sorry, you have nothing to be sorry for. You've never done anything wrong," he said, draping an arm around her. "You're perfect."
