Severus looked like he might cry. "Lily, please, listen to me. You didn't see what you thought you saw, you didn't," he said, panicking. "There was nothing going on between us, I promise. Please believe me."

Lily turned her face away from him. "I realized there's so much I don't know about you Sev...especially when it comes to you and relationships. I mean...Remus...then Draco? I've heard rumors, Sev, I won't lie. Conflicting ones, but rumors nonetheless. That you're gay...that you slept with Narcissa...I don't know what to think anymore."

Severus stared at her in disbelief. "Really, Lily? REALLY?!" he snaps, looking furious and frustrated. He grabs her by the waist forcefully and kisses her passionately, but roughly, and just as abruptly pushes her away. "Do you really think that I don't want you, Lily?" he growls. "That's ridiculous."

Lily was shocked at his fierceness, and her cheeks turned a bit pink, but she wasn't going to back down quite so easy. "I said I didn't know WHAT to believe, Sev. I don't know how you are in relationships! " She was angry, but confused. "Just because I wasn't there...my god Sev, you and Cissa were seriously dancing! You two are close friends, and even in the same house! I wasn't about to jump to a happy conclusion!"

Severus glowered at her, upset, but realizing that Lily really didn't know much about him at all in that aspect. "There isn't anything going on between us. Fine. I admit it. I slept with her along while ago, at the April Fool's Day party in Slytherin. But it was a one time thing, and I was drunk," he said, crossing his arms. "Lily, I love you. You know why I was that plastered that night?! Because of you, alright? Because of you and your ignorance and your stupid shit at the last ball, with that stupid spare, and everything! I'm sorry, alright?! But I was under the impression that I didn't mean anything to you then, and I didn't. Nothing is between us now, and I mean that," he said firmly.

Lily, a bit in shock, slowly sunk to her knees on the ground. "Didn't realize I had hurt you so much Sev. Never meant to...you know that. Just...seeing a...scene like that...didn't know what to think...."

Severus sighed and sat down next to her. "I'm sorry, Lily. I shouldn't have- at the party- I'm sorry. I didn't know what I was doing. I never should have gotten that drunk," he said, burying his face in his hands. I need to stop doing stupid shit when I'm drunk... he thought for the millionth time.

"No, you shouldn't have. " Lily sighed. "I can't stay angry with you, Sev. I can't. I care about you too much. I'm too afraid everything we have will fall apart.." Then she smirked, looking over at him as he buried his face in his hands. "That was some kiss just now, though. Very convincing." She was sure of his devotion to her, he'd proved it too many times though the events at the party had made her belief in it falter.

Severus peeked at her through his hands, and tried to smile, but failed. "I love you. And I want you," he said, removing his head from his hands and wrapping his arms around her, pressing his lips to hers. "Don't ever doubt that."

Lily sighed and kissed him back, loving the feel of his arms around her and his lips on hers, wanting it to never go away. "I must say, i'm not sorry for getting angry. You were in quite the compromising scene...but Sev.." She laughed. "I don't even know what to say." She wrapped her arms around him tightly, resting her head on his shoulder and nudging aside his hair to softly kiss his neck.

Sev's eyes widened as he felt her lips on his neck, which as we all know is his sensitive spot. "I know. I'm sorry. When I'm drunk, I'm.. I'm not me, okay? I won't do something like that again," he said, trying to focus despite the feel of her kisses on his skin. He slides his arms around her and pulls her close to him.

Lily smiled, whispering in his ear "If you say so, Sev." She moved her head back to rest on his shoulder for a moment, then laughed softly, and moved so she could look in his eyes. "So much has changed...and in the best possible way. " She leaned forward, pressing her lips against his, then whispering in his ear again. "Severus Snape, I do believe I love you too."

No, not really, but he thinks he might. Severus looks at her in shock, unable to properly believe what she's just said. "You- what?" he says in disbelief, looking at her like she just sprouted a unicorn horn and hippogriff wings.

Lily laughed at his expression, and ran a hand through his hair. "What, did you think anyone else could've snagged my heart after I started dating you?" She ran one hand along the side of his face, shaking her head with a smile. "I couldn't deny you hearing me say what you've said so many times already, and...it seemed like the opportune moment."

Regulus walks by on his way up to the castle, grinning happily. He sees Viktor and runs up to him, glad to see him. Looking around to make sure they're alone, he collapses into his arms, kissing him happily on the cheek. "Hello, love!" he says brightly.
