Lily blushed at his words, and his touch. "At least you explained yourself quickly. I don't think my sister'll ever get over the awful offense. After that, why wouldn't I have been kind to you? You were always kind to me. As for my talent...it's magic. I mean, sure I don't blow things up, but I'm good at Potions and Charms...everything else is sort of just...alright. " She paused. I mean...I guess i'm near the top of most of my classes... "Either way, it's just spells and waving a wand around most of the time. Not much. " She waved her hand, as if dismissing the though. "What does that matter anyway? Not like i'm the star of the school or anything, or even the best in all of my classes.." She sighed. "Means a lot more to be though of as a friend, sometimes."

Lily smiled, her blush a bit darker as he took her hand. "You're far too kind Sev. Not like I could do much of anything at school anyway, not with everything going on in the world...never mind so much against Muggle-borns like myself. " She paused and met his eyes, hers shining with calm confidence. "Though I don't worry anymore about that affecting my magic, there's at least a fourth of the school that probably doesn't like me and my family much. [I haven't seen the first one but I have the second one on my computer. I have more to add since I put those up. I'll relink you when I put them up in a minute.]

Severus shifted guiltily. He hadn't spoken to Mulciber or Rosier in a long while [BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ONE SO I HAVE TO PRETEND WE DO] but the offer they'd mentioned still remained. He remembered talking to Pansy about it some weeks ago, the possibility of joining Him. It wasn't so much that he agreed with their goals, but that it would be a place for him, a place where he might actually feel like he belonged. A place he could put his talents to use, a way to use his skills, which Hogwarts had so far denied him. He looked at Lily, remembering that horrible time he'd used that unforgivable word on her, and the months that had passed afterward, without her in his life. He'd been so angry with himself, loathing what he'd said, what he'd done. He'd refused to speak to the others again after that, and had since avoided them. No, as tempting as it was, how could he, when he cared so much for Lily? It would be wrong, horribly wrong. "They're wrong, Lily. Blood status doesn't mean anything. There is no blood purity, no matter what people like Rosier or Avery think, not what the Carrows say. You know and I know that it's nothing but a pathetic lie, to make themselves feel superior. And the people who believe them shouldn't mean anything. Don't you bother with the stupidity of others. You have a friend in me, and I know you for what you are. That's what matters."

Lily smiled, and had to turn away for a second. I had to hear Sev say that...even so long after what he called me. "Thank you Sev..those people are horrid, you realize that now? It hurt so much when I thought they'd really gotten to you...when you called me THEIR name for people like me. I thought i'd lost you as a friend forever..I hadn't ever imagined you saying that...to me." She turned her gaze back to his face from where it had lingered on the leaves above, or the slightly moving clouds. "You're brilliant too, you know. You don't notice it, I know, but you are. You don't need them."

Severus cringed at the memory, his face burning with shame. He looked her in the eye, the remorse he'd felt since that horrible day returning. "Lily, that may be the worst thing I have ever done. She reached up, her hand on his cheek, and managed to smile. "Please...you wouldn't do it again, and...it's used by awful people like the Carrows and Avery. You aren't one of them, you just told me so. You're my Sev, not...not any other names you've been called, unless it's your full name, anymore than I'm what you called me. That was long enough ago, I don't hold it against you Sev."

[Edit: Haha... I was looking at the facebook album and was like "aw...'Me and Lily <3'.. then I saw your status and can't stop laughing for some reason. It just seems strange to see Severus Snape with a facebook...hahaha....*now wants to write a fanfic with Marauders, Lily, Severus, and facebook...hahah...*
