"Lily's very talented with charms," he said, completely oblivious to the innuendo. "She's quite the witch," he continued. A witch you would do well to keep your filthy paws off of, he added silently with his eyes.

Lily smiled and nodded, glad to be away from the dangerous subject of Quidditch. "Yeah, Charms is my favorite, along with Potions. Sev and I have always been potions partners, he's brilliant at Potions."
Viktor, please don't take his irrational bad mood too seriously...

Severus smirked a little. No matter what this douche was good at, he knew potions was something nobody could beat him at. Hm. I wonder if he'd like to taste a concotion of mine. Something laced with cyanide. "Potions is one of my talents," he said, unconsciously pulling Lily closer to him.

Lily felt Sev pull her closer, and moved the tiniest bit away, not forcing him to let go of her, but letting him know she wasn't exactly pleased with his treatment of her new friend.

Lily didn't want to say anything against Sev, for fear of making him feel like she couldn't trust him again. She'd just have to explain and apologize when Sev left...Viktor really deserved an apology no matter what, this had NO reasoning.

Lily couldn't help but blush a bit and smile as she saw Viktor look at her when he mentioned he wasn't dating anyone...yet. She turned away, and realizing Severus hadn't noticed her disapproval, moved his arm completely off from around her. "Sev, I appreciate your conversation and friendship consideration and concern, but your tone is unnecessary. Viktor is my friend...just because he likes Quidditch you don't like him. "

Severus stood up, and glared at Lily too. "What are you talking about? Why would I be bothered with his liking quidditch?" he scowled, his eyes flickering back to the admittedly good looking and muscular guy who was now smirking. "Right then. I'll leave you and your friend alone," he snapped, storming off angry and hurt by her rejection.
