[Aw, but Sev didn't want to mention James/Katie until after the ball, possibly on Monday or Tuesday, depending when I get online, as I am far too busy next week. He wanted her to have a happy night, and not be sad. If he was more evil, he'd mention it in hopes of Lily trying to get revenge on James by fooling around with Sev, which would work because he is potioned but he would never do that because he loves her too much.]

Sev turned slightly pink at the way Lily was dancing with him- he wasn't used to this kind of attention, at all, least of all from her. Ah, what the hell, may as well go along with it. "I'm so glad to see you! Have I mentioned how terrific you look?" he said, wrapping one arm around her waist, and pushing back a stray strand of hair out of her face with the other. "Shouldn't hide behind your hair. Your face is far too lovely," he whispered into her ear, leaning close to her.

Lily blushed at Sev's words. "Aw...thanks Sev, must be the lighting, would flatter anyone. " She felt the weight of his arm against her back, and smiled even more, trying not to wish it was someone who was more than a friend, like Sev was. She grinned and kissed his cheek as a slower dance, a sort of waltz, came on, and she started to step in time with the dance, beginning to lead Sev in the dance.

Fred looked around the room wondering what he had missed and saw Dee. "Oh here," he said to Ron, handing him his bottle with the bubblebrew now in it. "Can we hold off on phase two for a bit?" he said in a low voice to George. He wanted to go talk to Dee.

Severus felt himself blushing furiously as Lily's lips grazed his cheek. He had a thousand things he'd like to say about Lily's exquisiteness, but something told him to hold back on that, and just enjoy the moment. Severus laughed happily as he found himself swept away into the waltz with Lily, amazed that he hadn't tripped or stepped on her feet once. "Lily Evans, I do believe I am the luckiest man in this room right now," he murmured, staring into her emerald eyes. "Perhaps the luckiest man in the world."

Lily laughed. "Yes, you're not drunk like nearly everyone else here! On top of that, you're dancing without tripping! Miracles, or magic!" She grinned, spinning with the music and eventually leaning her head on Severus. It had been a long day, and was starting to get to her. It was nice being able to dance with Severus though, and especially when he was actually not tripping. Bet Pansy gave him lessons or something...

"Cool," he smiled, not his usual grin, but something smaller, sweeter. He slipped through the crowd to where Dee was and saw another guy (Demyx/Joel) there. He stopped behind the guy's shoulder and gave Dee a bit of a questioning look. "Hey, Dee," he said quietly.
