Narcissa's reaction was as Severus expected. Her face turned frighteningly pale and her eyes formed large circles. "S-She... She hurt you while you had sex?!" she gasped. "That's... That's just...!" Sadistic? Wrong? Painful? she searched for a word, but failed as she was in shock.

Severus couldn't contain his laughter anymore. "Relax, Cissa. I just like it rough. I'm more annoyed that the venom and magic in her knife won't let me heal these with magic, so I've got to wait. Relax, girl. I was upset, and it's what I needed," he said, his laughter fading as he remembered why he'd been so upset in the first place.

Viktor stopped. He was pretty sure he knew who she was. He backed up a few steps and stood behind a tree to listen even though usually he doesn't hide behind trees. They hide behind them. Duh. Viktor smiles smugly at Cissy's comment.

Narcissa opened her mouth to speak, then shut it again. She looked out over the lake and watched the rock Severus threw make ripples in the water. "You know, you're a really good friend for staying by her side so much," she said quietly. "I can't even begin to imagine how much that must hurt, and all I can do is hope that she wakes up and sees how much you really care about her." she turned to face him with a small smile. "Because, quite honestly, I think you deserve her."

Severus snorted with laughter. "Please, Cissa, the last thing I need right now is bullshit. I'm not stupid. I know I'll never be good enough for her, just like I wasn't good enough for Remus," he said, choking as he said Remus' name. "I just want her to be happy, with someone who really cares about her. Someone who loves her, as much as I do."

I've been told all my life what I'm worth, and nothing you think or say is gonna change that. All I want is for her to be happy," he said, his voice trailing off. "She deserves to be happy."

Narcissa visibly tensed at Sirius's name. "That's... horrible," she said in response to the public humiliation he was referring to. She could only imagine what Sirius would do to him. "Well, you learned from your mistake, right? And that's the important thing!" she said, ever optimistic.
