Alice skips down to the beach, and kicks off her shoes, liking the feeling of the sand between her toes.

CUE FRANK.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

Frank walks out to the grounds, deciding to get out of the castle for the first time ever. He spots a very pretty girl, and finds himself immediately drawn to her. In a bold move that he didn't even know he possessed, he makes his way over to her. "Err, hi," he greets her while giving her a smile.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice jumps at the sound of a voice, and spins around. "Oh, hello!" She bounds over to him, all smiles. "I'm Alice. Alice Prewett. Who're you?" She examines him, running her eyes over his body. He was hot for a guy who seemed awkward at first glance.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"I'm err, I'm Frank," he says, her extreme friendliness surprising him for a moment. "Frank Longbottom," he adds. "Sorry for interrupting you. I just...couldn't resist saying hi," he says with a small shrug.

[Alice Prewett]

"Frank- like a hot dog?" She twirls a strand of hair around her finger, not even registering how awkward that sounded. Alice Prewett doesn't give a fuck. "Oh, that's alright! It's always nice to meet new people!" She skips back over to the edge of the water.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Yeah, I suppose," he says scrunching his nose for a moment, having been compared to a hotdog which is much thinner and smaller than a sausage. He watches as she goes over to the edge of water. Standing for a moment, he debates joining her, then decides to give caution to the wind and walks over to where she is. "So what house are you in?"

[Alice Prewett]

Alice thinks that Frank has a nice, juicy bratwurst in his pants. It's so true. "Gryffindor," she answers, tentatively dipping her foot in the water. Shivering, she pulls it out quickly. "That's c-cold! Anyway," she says, spinning to face him again. "You're a Gryff, as well." She says this matter of factly, and gestures to his Gryffindor apparel.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Right," he says glancing down at his robes. He suddenly feels like the biggest idiot on the planet and wishes he could vanish or go and die in Annie's hole. "I...should have known from your robes, that you're a Gryffindor as well," he says while thinking of facepalming. "I'm surprised I haven't seen you around before. Though, I did spend a lot of time in my dorm or in the library."

[Alice Prewett]

Alice would appreciate it if Frank did not die in Annie's hole, as that is far less satisfactory than Alice's hole. She giggles, throwing pebbles into the water. "Oh, I've done that too. Awkward, isn't it?" She picks up another pebble. "You have a dorm? Well, hell. I keep sleeping on the couch in the common room, since I have no dorm. I should talk to the Head about that," she says, giving Frank another sideways glance.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Yeah, I would talk to the head about that. I mean, I can't imagine that sleeping on a couch would be good for your back. It can give you horrible backaches and also neck aches. You really don't want to have bad posture or form when you're older. I recommend a soft mattress, such a tempurpedic one. Oh, sorry," he breaks off while glancing out at the lake. "That err, you probably didn't want a lecture."

Alice's eyes had glazed over- all she was thinking about was Frank. On a mattress.. "Nah, you're fine. I heard glasses of firebeer don't spill when you jump on those mattresses. But where would I even get a tempurpedic mattress?"

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Oh err, I dunno," he says scratching his head. "I think I saw a store in Diagon Alley that had some. They were rather expensive. Though, I think that it'd maybe be worth it." Dom totally isn't thinking that Frank and Alice deserve Tempurpedic mattresses while at St. Mungo's for the rest of their lives. Nope.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice nods, agreeing. "It's probably a good investment. So... tell me about yourself." It sounds as if it's a question, her voice slightly nervous. She spared another look at him. I mean, she has to be attracted to him. He's her future husband, after all.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Err, well. I'm a Gryffindor. I'm a sixth year. I'm a bit of a clumsy person, though I can be fairly composed when I need to be. I'm rather good with Defense and absolutely abhor divination. I'm an only child, though I do have a pet rabbit that is named Flopsy. Though, Flopsy stays at home when at Hogwarts," he rambles. "What about you?"

[Alice Prewett]

"I'm a sixth year too, and I'm a little weird, you could say. I like Defense too- I find it quite fascinating. I have two brothers, Fabian and Gideon, and a sister, Molly. They're all older, but my brothers go here." She pauses, smiling. "You have a rabbit? Really? That's so cute!"

[PAUSE, BECAUSE I AM BEING FORCED OFF THE COMPUTER AGAINST MY WILL.

AND DOM, I WILL FORCE YOU TO REPLY TOMORROW, I HOPE YOU KNOW.]

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Yeah, I got the rabbit as a gift from my aunt. Little did she realize, I couldn't bring him to school. That's alright though, I think my mum likes taking care of him," he says with a small shrug. "Is it annoying having two older brothers?"

[Alice Prewett]

Alice smiles. "That's nice. I always liked rabbits. And yeah, I guess it is kind of annoying at times. When they are overly protective and all that." She pauses for a moment. "And when Fabian tries to steal my cookies... that's just not acceptable."

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Yeah, I can imagine it must be annoying," he says with a small shake of his head. He's very glad that he doesn't have siblings to deal with. "One's a cookie stealer too? Well that's just annoying. If someone stole a chocolate chip cookie from me, I think that I'd take my wand out in an instant. No one comes between me and a chocolate chip cookie."

[Alice Prewett]

"You like chocolate chip cookies too? They're my favorite!" She laughs. "We're soulmates!" And she is completely joking. Yep. "Anyway, you want one? My mom just sent a parcel today... they're in my bag somewhere," she says, rummaging through it. "Oh, here!"

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

Frank's face turns lightly red when she says that they are soulmates, because he is an awkward turtle like that. Plus, he finds Alice to be really, really pretty, and can't imagine a girl like her ever wanting to be with him. Even though the are so soulmates. "Oh, that'd be nice!" he says smiling. "It's been a whole two days since I've had one, and I'm starting to go through withdrawal."

Alice's jaw dropped. "Well, then you'll just have to have two! One is never enough," she laughs, tossing the bag of cookies in his general direction, and taking one for herself.

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

Frank lets out a laugh, then takes two from the bag like she suggests, because he is somewhat afraid to go against whatever she says. It's clear who will be the head of this relationship. "Thank you," he says sincerely while giving the bag back to her. He takes a bite of a cookie and then says, "Merlin! These are amazing! I love it when they are soft and chewy!"

[Alice Prewett]

"Really? I like them when they are hard and crunchy. But chewy is good too!" Her foot grazes the water, and she takes another cookie. "My mum makes these all the time. They're like krack, no joke."

[Frank Longbottom - Inact]

"Yeah, I know what you mean," he says with a small smile. "It's definitely the chocolate. I find them to be totally and completely addictive. How is it that you maintain such a great figure with cookies like these?" he asks, then finds his cheeks heating up as he realizes what he says to her.

Alice blushes, and pretends to find the perfect cookie so she doesn't have to look at him. She was happy that he complimented her, she was. No one had ever said that to her before. Finally looking up, she winks and says, "Magic."
