"Night." Eve says. She silently cusses herself out because she wanted to finish drawing, but she cant when her subject runs away. Eve gets up and leaves.

Now that those pesky Slytherin types have gone, it is Buckbeak's moment of glory. Slytherins have a way of putting a ruffle in Buckbeak's feathery hide.

With a clippity-clop and a scratchity-scratch Buckbeak advances on the tree, furtive glances all around. Satisfied that no one is watching he gobbles down a whole apple. Then another. The apples are powerless before him, wave after wave of apple fall to his mighty appetite. Buckbeak carves a swarth of delicious destruction through the apples and no man nor woman could hope to stop him now.

She picks it up, totally not seeing the gorgeous Hippogriff who's been nomming all the apples.

Buckbeak is enjoying his victory over apple-kind and at first doesn't see Polly. He bends his neck down to retrive that perfectly minature apple he saw fall from the tree in a pathetic attempt to delay it's inevitable consumption. To find it missing.

Instead is a small girl, holding the even smaller apple halfway to her lips. Surely she doesn't intend to eat it.

The rage of a thousand suns overtakes the hippogriff. THIS IS WAR.

Polly hears a sound and looks up, apple halfway to her lips. Yes. Her lips. There is a rather angry looking, yet still gorgeous, Hippogriff staring back at her. "Oh. 'ello zere, gorgeous. I 'ope you weren't saving zis one? Eef so I can see eef zere is some in ze kitchens for later." She tries to recall what she's learned about these beautiful creatures. Oh, right. You're supposed to bow first right? She bows to the hippogriff, hoping it won't bite her head off.

Buckbeak wonders how much of the girl he can devour in one bite. Her head is just a little bit bigger than one of the larger apples on the tree. He opens his mouth ready to chomp when she starts assulting him with a barrage of forced accent!

Buckbeak rears back his head and claws the air. His only weakness! "Crawwwk!"

He forces himself back from the sound and sees Polly lower her stance... is this her battle pose?

Those apples have found themselves a powerfull ally he can see. A brutal and bloody campaign will be waged, but not today. He wil retreat for now... those kitchens may be a trap, but if there are other fruits there he may find allies of his own, a possibility to great to pass up. A juicy armada to fight peel to peel, glorious.

He takes to the sky with a flap of his massive wings. "Screeeee!" A battle cry for all to hear. He will be back, for those apples just met their equal.

Polly flinches as the hippogriff rears back and 'crawwk's. She makes to back up and then he flies off, screeching a battle cry. Well, if she just saved the apple then all was good. Even though she has no idea he's declared war, she will accept this and proclaim to be the apple's ally. So there. And she'll be back to save the apples. Oh yes. Polly giggles at the encounter and sits under an apple tree, nomming on the tiny apple, and enjoying her victory.

Sassy stomped into the apple trees, like a bull in a china store if that bull was extremely careful not to touch anything and was also a hundred feet tall and could breathe fire. Here he would build himself a nest, and his customary shrine to the apple gods complete with a loving likeness of his mother that he drew himself, and thus looked more like the Walmart smiley face with some vague horns and an amoeba body. It showed evidence of frustrated shredding, and loving shredding, and bored shredding, and proud shredding. Basically it was very shredded. And so Sassybaskets set about building his nest, or perhaps a suitable place to ambush from if anyone attempted to harm his precious apples. He was well hidden, except for most of his body sticking above the trees, and also his rather large head with lazy tufts of smoke and burning deathfire floating from his nostrils.

Buckbeak lowered his spyglass with a dexterous talon.

It seems the Apple Offensive has been busy, a dragon protector of their own.

No matter. Luitenant Hagrid has promised Buckbeak an entire army of dragons for his brutal counter attack. Where is that oaf? It is going to be tough pickings on the apple tree with a dragon to contend with.
