OMG *is dead* XD

Remus pretty much figures it's Sirius walking in before he even gets there, because who else was going to throw open the library doors like that? Of course Remus winces, wondering when Madam Pince is going to come over and kick them all out, but he honestly can't help smiling when he feels Sirius' arms coming around his neck. "Hello to you too, please don't yell...maybe not talk at all because we're in the library and your voice never can seem to go below super loud." he looks up in time to see Sirius' grin fading because now he's spotted who Remus is sitting with. Oh dear.

Caradoc raises a brow as some idiot makes a complete cacophony and strides over, and with some amusement, he realizes that it's Sirius, evidently looking for Remus. At his impolite greeting, Caradoc merely smiles serenely and extends his hand to Sirius in greeting. "Well, it's nice to see you again too, Sirius," he says delicately, determined to make this at least civil, if not cordial, for Remus' sake.

This, this will not end well. Sirius knows it. Caradoc knows it. And Remus probably knows it too, and Amethyst and Eowyn most certainly do not anticipate this ending cheerily. However, it's bound to be amusing, so let's continue. Sirius fixes Caradoc with a look of utter loathing, but he sighs and glances at Remus, deciding to not be so snide as to completely disregard Caradoc. He shakes his hand firmly, the look in his eyes clearly communicating he intends on washing his hand off with half as much soap as that time he touched Pansy Parkinson, which is a ridiculously large amount of soap. "I wouldn't exactly consider it nice," he said loudly, though his voice was well below the yelling threshold. "If I recall correctly, the last time I saw you, you punched me in the face," he said scowling, and staying put behind Remus, for fear he might launch himself at the bigger man. "Remus, sorry about the yelling," he said quickly, and Remus may permanently be the only one Sirius ever willingly and often apologizes to. "I forget, you know that. But I wanted to talk to you and there are sammiches and it is wonderful and I needed to find you and when one needs to find Remus Lupin one normally comes here so I came to get you and now you should go you should definitely go with me," he said, staring at Rad angrily.

Remus is not amused by the fact that this is definitely going to not end well. Nope, no he is not. He shakes his head at Sirius' apology and smiles, trying to prolong any sort of fighting that might occur but knowing he'll fail miserably. "It's okay, Sirius. I know you forget. Um, did you need me for any particular reason besides food? I'm not exactly hungry at the moment." What? He'd been eating chocolate all morning.

Sirius blinks in surprise, having completely expected Remus to just, well, come, like he usually does when he blunders through here looking for Remus. He's never had to think twice before, that perhaps Remus Lupin did not, in fact, want to spend time with him-- he always does, always, or at least he had, until this year, only this year, he seems to be wanting to be spending a hell of a lot more time with dudes that are not the marauders, who also happen to be dudes that dig other dudes. And look, Sirius is trying here, alright, to except this whole dude-liking-other-dudes thing, but he's never had it so blatantly thrown in his face until now, that Remus would rather be around people like Rad or Viktor or Jack, than be around him, and quite bluntly, it stings. So Sirius looks at Remus in surprise, and for the moment, he opens his mouth to speak, but can't seem to find the words.

Caradoc takes the opportunity to smile encouragingly at Remus, and as he looks up at Sirius, who's still standing over behind Remus, he sighs and decides to be the better man about the situation, and attempt to diffuse the tension, before poor Remus squeaks from all the awkward. "Remus and I were talking, Sirius, is all-- I haven't seen him in some time and we were catching up. But if you two want to hang, I can totally just go," he said, offering Remus a smile and a way out without causing a fight. "And no, while our last meeting wasn't particularly pleasant, I for one have no desire to re-enact it for dear Remus here. I have no grudge against you, and am perfectly fine with just moving on from our last encounter, so as long as you keep your hands off my friends, particularly the one involved on that particular occasion. I also suggest you tell your friend James to do the same, with any other various females-- it appears he shares your lack of respect for the females of this school, and pissing them off and manhandling them is not, in fact, okay, though you seemed to have difficulty grasping that concept, I see," he replied, his tone even and polite, and his blue eyes twinkling with amusement, as he watched Sirius' reaction.

Remus Lupin just doesn't want to keep struggling with keeping his feelings hidden. He has no problem with hanging out with Sirius, it just sucks that it's so hard to not think about his feelings while they're in the same room together. Yeah. And he is, indeed, about to squeak from all the awkward.

Sirius, however, is completely oblivious to this, and shoots Caradoc a dark look over Remus' shoulder. "So now you've been messing with my buddy James? You know, the more I learn about you, the less I like you," he said stiffly, attempting to keep his temper in check as Madame Pince gives him a scornful look from behind the bookshelf. "And I really think you need to look a little more at the details before you just go all super-Hulk on someone, see, sticking your nose where it doesn't belong isn't exactly polite. Perhaps your mother should have taught you that," he replied scathingly, before sighing and taking a step backward, and resting a hand on Remus' shoulder as he looks directly down at him. "Remus, do you want me to just go and leave you alone?" he asked pointedly, making it quite clear Remus would have the final word in this, and no one else.

AHHH THE PRESSURE.

Well, Remus almost always caves under intense pressure when it comes to his friends, and Sirius is his best friend. So obviously he'll cave and leave with Sirius. He just feels really bad for leaving Rad since they didn't get to finish their conversation. "Hold on, let me grab my bag and then we can go talk about whatever." Though if this ends up all being about girls then Remus is not going to be very happy, and will let Sirius know that as well. "I'm sorry, Rad. Can we hang out again soon? I've missed talking to you, and you'll have to tell me a bit more about Fabian." he gave Rad a small smile that totally said 'omgi'msorryaboutthisbutyou'llforgivemebecausei'm
adorableright?' Well, maybe not the adorable part but it was saying 'sorry'.

Caradoc smiles understandingly at Remus, knowing quite well that Remus meant no harm by it, and merely pulled out his pen again to work. "Some other time, don't worry. The four of us can hang out," he said, by which he meant Jack, obviously, not Sirius. "I really ought to get that paper done anyway. I'll see you around, Remus," he said, waving as he went back to work, and Eowyn's inner Sirius has finally stopped throwing things at Inner Rad.

Sirius lights up at Remus' reply, having been quite anxious that Remus would choose to stay in the library, and he offers Remus a genuinely relieved smile, and almost, but not quite, feels a twinge of guilt over stealing him away from Caradoc. "Alright, then," he said happily, wrapping an arm around Remus' shoulder as his friend grabs the bag, and promptly leads him out of the library like that, up to Gryffindor, where I'll post.

Hermione is here at one of the desks hidden away at the back of the Library. She's studying. Informative post is informative, although short.

Luna walks into the library because she has some studying to do as well, and she hasn't seen her girlfriend for a few days and what better place to find her than in the library. She beams when she sees Hermione in the library just like she expected, and takes a seat next to her. "So, our future husbands have been having a lot of sex recently. Foursome? Hello," she greets softly, smiling happily at her girlfriend. She knows that hand holding might not be okay, but she at least makes sure that their knees are right against each other so there's that small sense of contact between the two.

"A foursome works for me." Hermione's face lights up as Luna joins her. "Hi. How're you?" she asks softly, brushing her knee deliberately up against the other girls' so that Luna knows how pleased Hermione is to see her.

"Great, actually," she said with a bright smile, thinking about how well her conversation with Dean went. And then their was the whole talk with Rolf. It's always nice to have more friends considering people aren't exactly lining up to befriend Luna. "I talked to Dean the other day and I think things are going to be okay between us now. How've you been?"

Hermione's eyes widen just a touch as Luna brings up having spoken with Dean, but her girlfriend is happy that their friendship is intact so Hermione pushes that twinge of jealousy deep into the pit of her tummy and smiles. "That's brilliant. I'm really glad you two worked things out. I've been alright - for the most part just studying and catching up with Viktor, hearing all his news of course," she says with a little shrug.

Luna is glad that she's gotten used to all this Viktor talk and doesn't get as jealous as she used to when Hermione talked about her friend. As much as Hermione mentions him, Luna's realized by now that the two of them are just friends. And obviously it helped to find out that Viktor was gay. That was nice to hear. "That sounds nice. I've missed you these past few days," she says, glancing around the library and dropping a soft kiss on Hermione's cheek when she sees that no one is around them to see.

Hermione's face heats up when Luna kisses her cheek, and she smiles. "I know - I'm sorry. I've missed you too, I wish I could spend all my time with you." Underneath the desk, she reaches out and grasps Luna's hand lightly in her own, smiling affectionately at the Ravenclaw.

"It does," Hermione agrees with a radiant smile. "Still want to spend all my time with you though," she says, and begins flicking through the pages of her book even though she knows that with Luna here, whether they're speaking or just sitting in comfortable silence, she won't get much reading done.

"Me too," she murmurs in agreement. It would be nice to have more time to spend with Hermione considering the only people she ever talks to are Dean and Rolf because I'm pretty sure those are her only friends, unless you count the occasional other people that she talks to. But those two are the only ones who seem to enjoy talking to her without judging the Quibbler. And then there was Rad, wherever he had gone off to. Luna stays quiet for a moment, watching Hermione look through the pages before asking, "What are you studying today?"

Hermione wishes Luna would not hang out with boys who are into her whether Luna knows it or not... but that's a bit hypocritical I suppose. "History of Magic," Hermione says, her hand still clasped with Luna's and holding it with gentle pressure. "We're supposed to begin the formation of the Wizengamot next week so I thought I'd get a head start. How about you?"

Well, if Luna could tell people about her girlfriend then maybe things would be less complicated. But until then, Viktor and Rolf have got each other distracted enough to keep their minds off of having feelings for both Luna and Hermione. And maybe we can use that Weasley girl to get Dean's mind off of Luna. Sound good? I thought so too. Luna smiles softly as she gently trails her thumb across the back of Hermione's hand. "Well, I really came in here looking for you though I was thinking about getting some potions studying done." Luna's never liked potions. It's so technical and she really prefers to just go with the flow. Can't really do that with potions now, can you?
