Al smiled gratefully at the compliment. "Oh, so you don't normally sing with random people in the library at night? Because I make a point to do it at least once a month," he teased. "But really, do you normally sing in the library alone at night?"

Parvati couldn't help but laugh at Al's comment on singing in the library with random people at night once a month. He definitely had a good sense of humor like his brother did. "No." She said shaking her head. "I don't normally sing in public places where other people may be." She said quietly. "But I didn't think anyone was in here so I thought why not and then I just got really into it and kind of forgot what I was doing when you joined in."

Al cocked his head to the side and frowned slightly. "Do you not normally sing in front of people? Why? You're really good, like...really good. Seriously, I've never met someone with a voice like yours." He might have been reading too far into this, but he was starting to think that Parvati might have a bit of stage fright.

Parvati shook her head quickly. "No...I never sing in front of people. I normally just sing in the shower and that's it." She said nodding and smiled as he said he's never met anybody with a voice like hers. WELL SHUCKS. How nice. "Thanks...I think." She said and smiled at him. "I just have never felt the need to sing in front of people though." She said and shrugged slightly. That was a lie. She just never really could sing in front of people. Too scary.

"Well, no one ever really needs to sing in front of people. But haven't you ever wanted to perform in front of an audience? I bet you'd be really good at it. Then again, I'm one to talk. I only sing in front of my boyfriend and friends on the rare occasion. And then when I was little...Well..." He trailed off. Maybe telling her would make her laugh. Wait- Since when did he care when people laughed at him? And she had just admitted to only singing in front of him, and only him. "I used to put on shows for my family when I was a little kid."

Parvati smiled widely when he said he would put on shows for his family when he was a little kid. She thought that was really adorable and she would kill to see a video of that performance, seriously like kill a person. "But no...I haven't ever really wanted to perform in front of people." She said with a shrug. "I feel like people would think I was weird if I sang in front of them." She said with a shrug. "You're doing better then I am though." She said with a large smile. "You sing in front of some people at least."

Al bit lightly at his tongue. Well, she didn't like to perform in front of others, so he might as well not try to convince her to, even if he did think that other people would love to watch her sing. "Oh. I don't think that'd be weird. I've heard you sing now, and I honestly would love to listen to you sing more often. You have a beautiful voice. And it's obvious that you really enjoy it. Does James know you sing?"

"Thank you." She said again as he complimented her voice for about the hundredth time in this conversation. "NO!" She said quickly. "He doesn't know." She said calming down a bit. "Please don't tell him, or anyone for that matter." She said, practically begging him. "I don't want anyone to know because then they might ask me to sing for them or something and that will just get embarrassing."

"What!? Parvati, how would that be embarrassing? You have an amazing voice!" he said quickly, a bit loudly too. He didn't mean to, but he was a bit shocked. "I mean, of course I won't tell James, but you should know that I bet people would love your voice if they heard you sing."

Parvati shook her head. "I don't know. Just singing in front of people just because they want me to sing." She said biting her lip lightly. "I just. It would be so much pressure! I wouldn't be able to handle it!" She said dramatically. "And then I would mess up and make a fool of myself and it would be a terrible mess."

Al felt bad for getting Parvati so flustered so he just wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a hug. "I'm sure you'd be amazing, but I won't tell him. If you don't want to perform, then...you shouldn't. But um..." He pulled away from the hug and glanced over at the books to avoid looking at Parvati. "Forget it-- It's silly."

Parvati hugged Al back and then gave him a confused look when he pulled away and told her to forget it. Now she obviously wouldn't forget it since it was brought up. "No! Tell me." She said stepping towards him. "Tell me tell me tell me." She said jumping up and down slightly. She wanted to know.

.....

Al laughed at her jumping. It reminded him a bit of a five year old...in a good way, of course. "Well...I was just thinking...You're an amazing singer and I know you don't want to sing in front of others, but...would you mind singing with me again sometime? Your voice is just so perfect and I really enjoyed singing with you."

How can anything to do with a five year old be good? I don't know but apparently Al knows. Parvati's smile just faltered and she stared at him for a few seconds. "Well..." She said thinking about it for a moment. "I mean, you've already heard me sing once now." She said and bit her lip in thought. "I guess I could sing with you again....If you really want me to." She said, kind of scared for that moment.

The jumping part was good...not the five year old bit. Anyways. "No, no. If you don't want to, then forget I said anything. It was just a suggestion because...well, I had a lot of fun singing with you just now, and it'd be kind of cool to do it again sometime. But seriously, if you'd rather not then that's cool too. It was sort of stupid of me to suggest it, come to think of it."

"Well." She said and thought about it for a moment. "I had a lot of fun singing with you." She said with a small nod. "And I think it would be a lot of fun to sing together again just one condition." She said looking at him. "It has to be somewhere where other people won't see or hear us." She said nodding. "If nobody can see or hear us then I will totally sing with you again." He had already heard her voice and he knew it was her so it couldn't hurt to sing with him again.

Al grinned when she said she'd sing with him again. "Well, we could always meet in here at night-- It's clearly empty and no one would see us. Or if you really don't want people to know we could go into the Room of Requirements. I actually have my own guitar and I play piano as well, so I could bring that. And I'm sure the room would provide us with anything we needed. Sorry, I'm sort of getting overexcited, but...I've never really had another person to sing with before."

Angela and Inner!Parvati are now laughing because the way Al worded that it sounded like he is planning on bringing a guitar and a piano into the room of requirement and the thought of Darren Criss walking around with a piano in his arms is quite funny. "Well, I know where the Room of Requirements is." She said nodding. "We could always go there to sing." She said smiling at him. "That way we don't have to worry about anyone walking in on us." She said and grinned widely as he said he was getting overexcited. "Well, I'm excited too. I've never really sung other then in the shower so I think it will be fun to have a friend that I can sing with."

Al grinned excitedly. He didn't know of anyone else at Hogwarts who could sing or play instruments, and he was happy to know that he would be able to sing with Parvati, while also spend his time giving lessons to Sidney. "Awesome! I love singing on my own, but I've always had a thing for duets. I just...love the sound of two voices coming together," he said, shrugging lightly before he ended up getting all deep and whatnot. He wasn't exactly the most talented guy, but if there was one thing he really loved, it was music.

Parvati smiled and nodded. "I love duets too." She said nodding. "Listening to them of course. I've never sang a duet until about 5 minutes ago." She said with a light laugh. "I think it will be so much fun though to sing more duets." She said nodding. "If it's anything like that was." She said, talking about their little random singing session they had earlier. "Then it will definitely be lots of fun."

Short post is short.

"That is true." She said with a grin. That would be a bit terrifying being caught by Pince. Or anyone for that matter. "Um, yeah." She said looking at the books. "I should probably start learning everything I've missed this past week."

See you around, Parv. It was really great singing you," he said with a sincere grin before turning and forcing himself to leave before he distracted her from studying even more.
