He nodded and waved a slight goodbye as she left. That was certainly one of the more interesting conversations he'd had of late. He too decided to head back to the castle, and wondered where his lovely darling girlfriend who would never ever cheat on him was. -stares-

Al walked over towards the trees, the look Scorpius had given him proving to be quite the treatment to his drunken behavior. He leaned with his back against a tree, glaring out over the grounds with a brooding expression as he wondered when he had gotten so good at fucking things up. Every single fight he had with Scorpius seemed to be his fault and he hated it.

But the worst part...was that he didn't just have Scorpius to worry about. He had kissed a girl, and he had kissed her a lot longer than he had expected himself to. He wanted to blame it all on the alcohol consumption. He had drunken enough to make kissing a dog seem hot, but it still bothered him. He wasn't supposed to enjoy kissing anyone other than his boyfriend, but he had...and he couldn't help but feel guilty about it.

Scorpius had watched as Al had walked off from the group, knowing that he really ought to follow his boyfriend. He didn't want to fight about the whole thing, especially if Al was still slightly intoxicated, but he knew that they had quite a bit to work out. He also wanted to make sure his boyfriend didn't end up spending the entire night outside. "Al?" he said hesitantly as he moved closer to him. "Are you alright?" he asked. He debated apologizing for his behaviour, but he really didn't think he was wrong for getting annoyed by the kiss.

Al glanced over at Scorpius for a quick second, then turned away to continue looking straight in front of him. "I'm fine, thanks," he mumbled, not really in the mood to talk to anyone, even Scorpius. He folded his arms across his chest, unsure of what else to say. He knew he should apologize for the kiss, but...he had always hated admitting that he was wrong.

Scorpius closed his eyes for a moment. So he was going to get the cold treatment. Awesome. "Al," he said, letting out a small whine. He moved closer to his boyfriend, stopping in front of him and ultimately forcing Al to look at him. He reached out to gently hold Al's face, making his boyfriend really look at him. "I am not a Seer. I don't know what is going through your head right now...so I need you to talk to me."

"What? Nothing's going on in my head, okay? I'm sorry for kissing her. Is that what you want to hear? It was just a kiss," he mumbled, not pleased with the way he was being forced to look at Scorpius. "I don't see what the big deal is."

"No, that's not what I want to hear," he sighed. "It was how you kissed her. Al, did you notice how most of the kisses were quick? Most of them lasted like, a total of three seconds. Yours with the Milli girl lasted a hell of a lot longer than that. Not only that, but there was tongue. You've got to understand why I'm not that pleased right now."

Al groaned and brought his hands up to his head, running them through his curls as he tried to come up with an explanation. "Look, I don't know what to tell you, Scorpius! Yes, I kissed her longer than I should have, but is it really that big of a deal? I'm...I'm gay, remember?" he reminded Scorp, though he didn't sound so convinced that he actually was only into guys. "That was just a friendly little...kiss. I'm gay. She's a girl. It didn't mean anything, and I'm sorry, okay? I was drunk and I got carried away." And I liked it.

"Yeah, it was kind of a big deal," Scorpius said, looking at Al with slight disbelief. "It has nothing to do with the fact that you're gay and she's a girl. It has to do with the fact that you're my boyfriend. How do you think I felt after seeing that?" he questioned, trying not to raise his voice, regardless to how he was feeling right then. "What would you have thought if I went and snogged someone just like you had?"

"You know what, Scorp? We can't all be as fortunate as you. You spent the last three years fucking every girl that looked at you, and then you had the opportunity to use me as your fucking experiment," he replied angrily. "Yeah, I didn't forget about that. But me? I've never had the chance to experiment with girls and see what it's like. And I'll be honest with you, kissing Milli felt...good. Okay? It felt good and I didn't hate the experience. But I love you, Scorpius. I love you, and I don't see why we can't just forget this ever happened and move on."

"Oh, so someone you're turning this around to me. I'm sorry that I've fucked quite a few girls in the past. I'm sorry that I used you as...as an 'experiment'," he replied, echoing Al's term with disgust. "Maybe I'm just not seeing the reason why you need to have that chance to figure things out now. Maybe I'm failing to see why it even fucking matters if you're gay or bi, when that has no relevance to the fact that you're with me," he replied shortly, releasing his hands from Al.

"Scorpius, this isn't fucking about you," he snapped as he took a few steps back from Scorpius, not wanting to be near his boyfriend anymore. "It's about me trying to figure out who I am. Yes, I am with you. Does that mean I'm not allowed to wonder if I'm gay or bi? I know I only want to be with you and you know that I love you, so sorry for being confused about something."

"Fine, it's not about me. You really want to find a label for what you are? So be it. Why don't you go seduce your brother's girlfriend some more. Maybe that'll also help with figuring things out," he pointed out. "You know, it's weird. I never really gave much thought to wanting to figure out what I am. Am I bi? Am I gay? Not sure. To me, it honestly didn't matter. If that's really so important to you, then go ahead and snog some girls," he said, his tone short.

Al felt as though he had just been doused with ice cold water. He honestly didn't know how to respond to the Parvati comment. He knew it was wrong, but didn't everyone make mistakes when they were drunk? He hadn't been in the right state of mind, but he didn't think Scorpius would understand. Scorpius never understood him. "Well sorry for trying to figure out who I am. To me, it's kind of important...It just is and I don't know why, but apparently I have to be just like you and want the same things you do. You know, we used to be such amazing friends despite the fact that we had different views on just about everything. I don't know why suddenly we have to fight over every fucking problem we have. We never used to fight," he mumbled, hating how everything had changed between them.

Scorpius pulled his eyes away from Al, hurt by what his boyfriend said. In a way, it was like he had just implied that things between them had been better when they had just been friends. "I don't know what you want to me to say," he mumbled, sitting down on the ground and leaning against the tree. "Go and figure things out? Is that what you need and want right now?" he asked softly, just wishing things between them hadn't turned out like this right now. He stared at the grond for a moment before closing his eyes. "Are you saying things were better before? Are you starting to regret this?" he asked, opening his eyes and looking at his boyfriend with slight worry.

Al looked down at Scorpius, but refused to sit beside him. "No, Scorpius," he answered quickly, though he didn't sound at all sympathetic. He was still angry. "That's not what I'm saying. I just...I wish we didn't fight as often as we did. And I hate the way you're judging right now, Scorpius. I can't fucking stand it, to be honest. I'm not saying I want to experiment. I just...I made a drunk mistake and I'm sorry, okay? And I'm sorry for wanting to know who I am. We can't all be so comfortable with our sexuality."

"I'm judging the fact that I feel as though you cheated on me," he countered. "It's got nothing to do with the fact that you need to figure things out for yourself. I wish that you would have told me if you were confused about things and wanting to work it out." He picked up a leaf off the ground next to him, gently shredding it into small pieces. "I don't like when we fight. I hate it. It scares me that we've been keeping things in and then letting it just get to the point where things explode. You're my best friend Al and I love you so much. I don't want to lose what we have because of our stupid tempers."

Al knew things were serious when hearing Scorpius said 'I love you' didn't make him smile like it had every single time he had said it in the past. "Scorpius," he managed weakly. "I didn't think I was confused until I drunkenly kissed a girl and took it too far, alright? It's not exactly something that keeps me up at night. It just happened and I can't take it back. I can't erase it. I can't just pretend it didn't happen. I'm sorry if I hurt you, but I don't know what else I can do. I kissed Milli and that's that. But I did it in front of you, Scorpius. It's not like this is some affair that I'm hiding from you. I'm not running around behind your back. I'm being honest here, and...and I'm running out of other ways to make this better. I don't know what else you could possibly want from me."

Scorpius nodded to himself for a moment, everything that Al had said was fair and true enough. He supposed he ought to be more understanding about what Al was going through, for his boyfriend was clearing going through another stage of confusion now. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I get it, I do. I just…I don’t know what you want to do about it now. Please just let me know if you need to do more to figure this all out,” he said, not wanting Al to sneak around to kiss girls and figure out how he felt. “What are you going to do about it?” he asked, crinkling the leaf in his hand and letting it fall to the ground.

Al chewed nervously at his bottom lip as he looked down at Scorpius, hating the way his boyfriend looked so hurt and vulnerable. "I'm not going to do anything. It clearly upsets you, so...I kissed Milli and I'll leave it at that. I guess you're right. I love you so it really shouldn't matter if I'm gay or bi or whatever," he said with a sigh, sounding tired and defeated. He figured that he might as well just give in. He was tired of all the fighting and he just wanted it to be over. "I was never planning on experimenting after kissing Milli. Fuck, I wasn't even planning on experimenting with Milli. I was just drunk and I took a friendly kiss too far. I really didn't think it would lead to all of this."

He remained quiet for a moment, processing Al’s words as he sat still. As much as the whole thing bothered him, the last thing he wanted was for his boyfriend to continuously wonder and think about it. “I don’t think you should just leave it at this,” he muttered. “You’re not going to be okay with yourself unless you figure this whole thing out. I’m…I’m okay with that. Just don’t go shagging a girl in order to figure it all out, alright?” he said, looking up and giving Al a small smile.

Al didn't have it in him to smile back. He wanted to forgive Scorpius and forget this whole thing ever happened, but he was still upset over the argument. He let out a shaky breath as he looked down at Scorpius. "You scare me, you know that?" he admitted quietly. "I've...never been anyone's boyfriend. And then you had to come along and kiss me." He folded his arms tightly across his chest, as if trying to protect himself from the vulnerable position he was putting himself in. "I hate when we fight, Scorpius. I hate it. Because I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you," he admitted quietly. "And I wish I didn't need you as much as I do."

When Al confessed that Scorpius scared him, Scorp snapped his head up and looked at his boyfriend with wide eyes. He scared Al? He listened quietly, waiting for an explanation as to what he did that scared Al so much. Oh. He was quiet for a moment, then pushed himself off the ground and moved to stand in front of Al. Both of his hands moved to the back of Al’s hair, gently entangling in the dark curls. “I’ve only done the boyfriend thing once and I messed it up so bad,” he said quietly. “I don’t want to hurt you like I did Rose. These fights scare me Al. I’m worried one day we’ll say to much that we can’t take back. I’m nothing without you,” he murmured.

Al's voice was shaky as he looked up at Scorpius, relieved that they were on eye level now. "Scorpius," he whispered, pretending as though his eyes weren't holding back tears. He couldn't think of what to say, so he took Scorpius' face in his hands and brought their lips together, kissing him lightly before pulling back and looking up at him with sad, confused eyes. "I'm sorry that I'm not the perfect boyfriend, and I'm sorry I say things I shouldn't. I know I can be a total arse, and I'm sorry," he apologized as he kept his hands on Scorpius' face. "I would never forgive myself if I threw away the best thing I have going for me."
