"Wait, do I have to stay outside the cave the whole time?" she asked, frowning slightly. "I mean, I'd want to see your cave and how big it is." She suddenly looked horrified when she got that he was going to just roll her away when bored. "I feel unappreciated!" she sniffed. "Just rolling me away! It's bad enough I don't see any of my friends anymore, but now you just wanna roll me away?"

"I'm just teasing you, Dom. I would never want to get rid of you. Unfortunatly, my life would be too boring." Teddy looked at her thoughtfully, "You're awfully touchy lately. No offense," he added quickly, "Is there anything wrong? Why haven't you seen your friends lately?"

"I know, you wouldn't know what to do with yourself if I wasn't in your life and able to bother you," she grinned. "I'm not that touchy lately," she said with a small shrug. "Well, Parvati was my best friend. Err, my female best friend," she amended. "Then...things sort of happened and we haven't seen each other since."

"Female best friend, huh? Good thing you corrected that." Teddy told her with a small nod, "Well, what happened between you? I'm sure it can't be that big a deal." He remembered being at a truth or dare game that Parvati was at, the only time he can remember ever talking to her. He shrugged, "She seems like the easy going type."

"Well," she said, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. She wasn't sure how to tell Teddy about this, for it was kind of awkward. Actually, really awkward. "Well, we were co-captains together on the cheer team. After a practice, we took a shower together. It wasn't a big deal until we started kissing and then...other stuff," she said, flushing after her confession. "We haven't talked since about it."

Teddy blinked. And then blinked again. I think he's really running low on understanding tonight. Let's see what I can do. "Wow, Dom. I don't know what to say." He wanted to ask her if she was a virgin when it happened, but he didn't know how to phrase it. He opened his mouth to try, but just closed it and shook his head. "Were you," he started, then fell silent again, "Was it...?" Another failed attempt. He decided to just skip that question for now, instead asking, "Did you have feelings for her? I didn't know you were bi."

Dom waited for Teddy to say something, realizing she had probably massively shocked him. She hoped he didn't pass out from it or something. She looked at him when he started to act like a fish, opening and closing his mouth and beginning to start sentences before dropping them. "Oh, well...we were best friends and did everything together," she answered. "I mean, I love the person she is, but I don't like her like that. She just made me feel comfortable with myself. And uhh...I didn't know I was either," she said, face slightly pink. "I don't really know if I am. I mean, I can't really see myself doing that sort of thing with other girls."

Teddy frowned, trying to understand what Dom could possibly have been thinking. He had always thought sex meant a lot to girls. Maybe Dom didn't count it as sex? He knew some people didn't, though he certainly did. "Well, I guess if you don't regret it then you didn't do anything wrong, did you?" He finally said, "It's just... weird." It would probably take him sometime to get to understand Dom from this point of view. He had known her forever and have never thought of her as someone who would have sex meaninglessly. It couldn't have been meaningless, he corrected himself. Like he had told her earlier, Dom was a strong person and would never get herself into a situation she wasn't comfortable with. And she didn't seem like the type to be comfortable with meaningless sex.

Dom didn't quite see it as 'sex' per say. Sure, it was a sexual act, but it wasn't quite something that she viewed as 'going all the way'. If it had been anyone else, Dom wouldn't have done what she did. "I trust Parvati, that's why I allowed it to happen," she replied softly. "I don't regret it, for I can't imagine another person that I would have been comfortable with doing those sort of things with. Now though, I just miss the times when we would stay up real late eating ice cream and talking about boys. I miss cheer practice. I miss just being around her," she sighed.

"Well, that's the risk you take when you go from a friendship to something more, no matter who it's with." Teddy told her bluntly. "But, I'm sure it's fixable. Now that she's dating James, you could talk to her about it, right? If you really were best friends, I'm sure she misses those things as much as you do." He shrugged, "As long as it didn't end badly, she'll want them back."

Dom shot him a slightly irritated look. His blunt tone wasn't quite helpful, but she couldn't help but think that he was right. She took a risk by allowing such things in the showers to occur, and now she had to deal with it. "Wait...what?!" she asked, eyes widening. "She's dating James? Our James? James Sirius Potter?!" Of all the people in the world, why did it have to be her cousin?

Teddy gave Dom a sympathetic look. Deny it all she wanted to, it seemed to him that she was attached to Parvati in some way. "Sorry, Dom." He said honestly, "I thought you knew. James' friend told me." He shrugged, "Don't feel bad that you didn't know, I think they were keeping it quiet." He was lying, obviously Claire had known. Still, he felt horrible that he had been the one to tell Dom.

Dom is over Parvati. She really is. Yep. "No, well...I haven't really spoken to James lately. He's been rather busy, though now it all makes sense. He's been busy with his girlfriend," she said with a small shrug. "To be honest though, I think that they actually would make a really good couple. Though, I always imagined Parvati being a bit too...intense for our Jamsie."

Teddy nodded, "I thought so, too. But I haven't seen him in a while either, maybe he's changed this year." He doubted it. James had always seemed like the type of person that doesn't deal with change very well to him, but he supposed people do change. He shrugged, "Well, I hope to get to talk with him sometime this week."

Dom thought for a moment how sad it would be if he had changed all that much. She liked her cousin the way he was and only hoped that NEWT year wasn't getting to his head too much. "That's a shame that he hasn't spent much time with his family recently," she sighed. "I hope you do talk to him. Please try and knock some sense into him," she smiled. "I should probably head back up to the castle. I've got class in a half hour. It was good catching up though," she said, moving to hug him tightly.

Teddy hugged Dom, smiling when she stepped away. "See you later, Dom." He told her, watching her walk away before he wandered off somewhere else.

It's one of those rare days in February where the weather is actually pretty warm and people aren't wearing sweaters. Just like how it's been the past couple of days here for Amethyst. COME BACK WARM WEATHER!!!
Er, anyway. So Remus has escaped to the outdoors with some of his work, having been avoiding the dorms as much as possible in case a certain someone happened to show up and he would have to go through the, most likely, depressing explanation of how he and Jack aren't together anymore. Something that, he has a feeling, won't be all that upsetting to Sirius at all, considering Remus knows how much his best friend was not a fan of the Ravenclaw. In all honesty, Remus was not all that upset about it anymore. Yes, he had a habit lately of avoiding any chances of running into the older man and he had put away the pictures of him and Jack - choosing not to dispose of them entirely because why totally choose to ignore something that had once made you happy? He didn't regret a single moment he'd shared with Jack - but other than that things felt like they were sort of getting back to normal. ~~The same can't be said for Inner!Remus who still makes Amethyst feel terribly sad whenever he sees Jack's name on AWF at all. Le sigh.~~ Anyway, right now Remus is sitting, leaning back against one of the huge rocks that was about, and re-editing - for probably the third time, what? he wanted to make sure it was perfect - an essay for History of Magic.

The weather might be warmer than the season usually suggests, but for Lily it may as well be freezing, and she is still wearing a sweater as she takes a walk, trying to calm down after the annoyance and slight embarrassment of encountering Potter on her walk of shame back to her own dorm from Gideon's. She sees a pair of legs sticking out from a rock, and as she rounds the rock a little more, the legs grow into a whole person. Lily smiles. "Remus! Hi. Mind if I join you?"

[Inner!Remus wonders why he gets to talk to Lily but not Jack...and then he remembers and gets all sad and it makes Amethyst sad and that's just not good. *skips off to find happy pills* *blinks*]

Remus's silent studying is interrupted by a familiar feminine voice and he looks up to see Lily smiling down at him. "Oh. Hi, Lily! No, I don't mind at all. Please sit." He moves his books so she can sit next to him if she'd like. "How've you been?"

Smiling, Lily sits down next to Remus. She tries to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear in impulse, but as she's tied her hair back, there's nothing there to tuck. "I've been good. Really good," she says brightly, because happy!Lily is happy. "How are you? We haven't really caught up properly since Christmas, Prefect rounds have been too busy! How's Jack?"

"I'm glad to hear you're doing well." Remus smiles, sincere because he really does like hearing that his friends are doing well. His smile fades when Lily asks about Jack but he quickly snaps to an indifferent expression, shrugging and looking down at the book in his lap. "I wouldn't know."

Lily suddenly feels about three inches tall and her expectant smile falls flat. "I'm sorry," she says simply. "Do you want to talk about it?"

[*wallows in chocolate and blanket forts*]

[*drinks chocolate syrup from the bottle*

What? It's yummy.]

Remus feels bad for making Lily feel bad. "It's okay. Don't worry about it." He fiddles with the edge of a page lightly, silent for a moment. "It's just...I can't help thinking it was so ridiculous, because...well, it just is." It wasn't like he and Sirius were going to get together any time soon, considering Sirius was about as straight as Kingsley Shacklebolt.
