Lily met his eyes as he demanded, so confused as to his anger...his tears. "I danced with Cedric, yes, but because it was a DANCE! NOBODY ELSE! You're SHOUTING at someone who is totally confused and hurt as to why their BEST FRIEND IS SO FURIOUS WITH THEM FOR MAKING FRIENDS! I'm SORRY for my bad guess of you and Cissa, but what has Cedric done to you, any more than what Viktor had done to you?! Nothing! I'm not dating either one of them, nor do I plan to. I don't know WHAT you want, Severus Snape, but obviously I should be confused as to why you even HANG OUT WITH ANYONE LIKE ME IF I MAKE YOU SO UPSET!!" Her eyes met his, and she looked a bit away, trying to blink back tears of hurt.

Severus stared at her incredulously. "What do I want?! What do I want? I want you Lily, but Merlin knows I'll never have what I want, because you never see me, no, you never really look at me, never! What do I want? I want you to see me, to look at me, see what I feel for you, what I've always felt for you, I want you to see that I love you!" Severus smacked a hand over his own mouth, freezing on the spot, realizing what he's just said, and turns sheet white.

[Alright. I'll try getting on tomorrow night then...can't for long though, so however much i'd love to leave anyone watching this with a cliffhanging...i'll get in another post, then i'm off...i'm so tempted to make her faint. ]

Lily paled, and staggered backwards a step, her eyes widening. Sev...loves me? Severus Snape...loves ME?! What...how long...i'm such an idiot...he LOVES ME?!?! Her mouth moved, as if trying to give sound to her panicked, confused, thoughts. It was as if her thought process had shut down for the moment, and her motor functions. She froze as he did, her eyes locked on him. I should ask if he's joking....lying....I misheard...but he wouldn't do that. He looks..more freaked out that I probably do...my best friend LOVES me?!

[PAUSED. Razz

At a wonderful standstill. ]

He choked back a sob, and looked at her, his feelings written all over his face. "I... I'm sorry, Lily. I, I'll just go then," he mumbled, looking at her with the most hurt expression he's ever worn before turning around and starting to walk away.

Lily was still in shock as he began to walk off. Did that really just happen? Have I actually understood? She didn't know what to say to him, a million thoughts and memories were twirling though her head...but he looked so hurt. What could I say!? What do I say to my best friend...Sev...telling he loves me. Probably HAS loved me. I don't know what to think, never mind FEEL or tell HIM! But he looks so..so hurt! She walked to catch up with him, and gave him a tight, brief hug.
"Don't be sorry.."
Her feet couldn't carry her fast enough away after that. She needed to be alone...to think. Or with a friend that understood, but who could she talk to? Hermione and Remus had their own past issues with Sev. She didn't know on what grounds she and Fleur were...Sev would hate for anyone to know, she knew that much. Who might know?I'll find someone. Sev and I'll talk this out...SOON. But I need to think.

Severus barely felt her arms around him for that brief moment before she let go, taking off in the other direction. He stood still a moment, still in disbelief of what he'd said, what he'd finally admitted to her. He didn't know what to do, what to think, what to feel- the only thing that he could seem to process was that right now, he needed a drink. He takes off for his dormitory quickly, before anyone else can see him.

"Sh- Shes not? But she told me her self" Katie protested, she wanted to add that YOU COULDNT HAVE FLURIUS AND KARIUS BANNARS IN YOUR NAME, but the she realised Sirius was a manwhore. "I'm acting like this? I am not the one who almost killed thier brother Sirius. I HAD TO SAVE HIS LIFE BECAUSE OF YOU!" She was seeing red. The image of Reg lying defensless on the grass bleeding out haunted her. She wanted to say she liked Sirius, even though he was acting like a dick. But not yet.
