Reed already felt relaxed once Kras starts rubbing his arms. Then he giggled. "You know what. I don't even have to worry about people seeing me with my shirt off. I'll be with you! Everyone will be too busy drooling over you sexyness to even notice the little twerp next to you. But then I get to hold your hand and make eeeeeveryone here jealous." He giggled again and turned his head around to see Kras' reaction.

Kras shook his head, grinning. "I won't even really notice if they do stare, because I'll be too busy watching you the entire time." He dabbed a spot of sunblock right on the tip of Reed's nose, chuckling. "And I'm glad everyone will see us together. They'll see I have the best boyfriend in the world." Yep yep and they can be jealous of Reed and Kras' awesome love. <3

Everyone will be totally jealous. Reed giggles as Kras put sunscreen on his nose. "Kraaaaas. I need an even application of sunscreen so all of my body is the same amount of red." He giggled then shrugged, figuring he might as well get this over with. He scooted forward a bit and pulled his shirt over his head, then neatly folding it and setting it on the blanket.

Kras chuckles at Reed's sunblock complaint. "You'll look like an adorable little lobster by the time we leave the beach today..." he joked, waiting as Reed removes his shirt. It always made him a little bit proud when Reed did things he knew he'd be uncomfortable with. Reed could have just refused to take his shirt off the entire day at the beach, but he didn't. And Kras will give anyone who is mean to Reed epic bitch glares, so Reed'll be safe. "You're beautiful." Kras smiled, leaning over a bit to kiss Reed's back. He continued to put sunblock on his boyfriend then, careful to make sure he covers all over so Reed won't burn.

Reed was nervous, but he made sure to hold his head high even if he wasn't feeling too confident. He blushed at Kras' words. "Stooooop. You're far too good for me." He really wanted to kiss his boyfriend right now, but refrained, just in case. "After I've finished soaking up the sunscreen, wanna...erm, wanna go into the water?" He was a bit nervous for that too, but he really wanted to see what swimming was like.

Kras chuckled, continuing to apply sunscreen on Reed's skin as Reed spoke. When Reed asked about getting into the water Kras practically squeals. "YESSSS! It's going to be so awesome, I promise!" He was quite excited now and hoped Reed wouldn't mind him regressing back into a little kid for a little bit. Haha. "I swear I won't let you drown either. I'll hold on to you the entire time, I promise."

Reed couldn't help but giggle at Kras' enthusiasm. "Ok. I trust you. Am I all covered?" Just to be safe, he grabbed the extra bottle of sunscreen and start applying it to his face. He made sure to get the waterproof kind too, so it wouldn't come off in the water. "Do you need any sunscreen?" He doubted it, but it was still nice to protect your skin.

Kras likes hearing Reed say he trusts him. Trust is such a big deal for Kras, especially considering how he used to be super worried about failing people and not being good enough to protect anyone no matter how hard he tried. It was one of those big insecurities he had to work through and he has with Reed's help, but he knows things like that can have setbacks, and there will probably always be that little worry in the back of his mind. "I think you're good. I'll be okay. Maybe I'll put some on later just in case, but for now," he stood, reaching down to give Reed a hand, "let's go into the water!" He was grinning brightly, feeling like a little kid. Yes he loved the beach all right.

Reed returned the bright smiled and grabbed Kras' hand then pulled himself onto his feet. He looked around sneakily for a bit then dropped Kras' hand and sprinted towards the water, while yelling like a maniac. He didn't make it far before he fell, but as usual he just got back up. Then he ran a few more steps and fell again. What? Sand was hard to run in. He got back up another time and continued his sprint to the water. His feet hit the water and he let out a yelp then immediately ran away from the water. "That's cold!" It probably wasn't cold, but he was warm from being in the sun all morning.

Kras blinks in surprise when Reed suddenly takes off. He's stuck between concern and amusement as Reed falls a few times in the sand. When Reed yells about the cold water though he bursts out laughing and runs after him. "You goof!" He wrapped his arms around Reed, laughing. "Be careful you don't cut your feet on any seashells." Then Kras looks down towards the ground. "Oh!" He squeals and reaches down to pick up a rather pretty shell. "Look! It's all pretty!" The shell was pinkish and tan. "We'll have to see if we can find any other really pretty ones!"

Reed was laughing and just having a great time, he was really glad they were here today. He looked at the shell Kras picked up and squealed. "Oooh pretty! Where do we find more! I wanna take a bunch home so I can remember this forever." He grinned up at his boyfriend and started bouncing in a little in excitement.

"They're everywhere, gorgeous." Kras set the pretty seashell back down so hopefully someone else could find it and appreciate it just as much. "We can walk around and find a whole bunch later. Right now let's play in the water!" He figured he was doing a pretty good job at toning it down for right now, considering normally he would be running about in circles or just all over the place like a loon. The beach was just awesome. "I promise I won't let go of you, okay?" He backed up slowly, leading Reed a bit into the water. Well, it was kind of chilly, wasn't?

Reed bit his lip and nodded. He did trust Kras and he knew that he would never let anything happen to him. "Okay. Do not let go. Even for a second." He followed slowly, taking in a sharp breath when he hit the water, but he continued to follow. He about ran out again when the cold water hit his bare stomach. He stopped walking. "Can we stop here? It's coooollddd."

Kras stopped as soon as Reed asked him to. " It is kind of chilly isn't?" He chuckled. "Doesn't the sand feel odd? It's like the sand's just nomming on your feet...ok maybe I shouldn't have put it like that, but you can tell what I mean..." He lightly splashed some water in his boyfriend's direction, but not in his face cause beach water is salty and gross...

Reed wiggled his toes and found Kras was right, it felt like his feet were being eaten by sand. "Ewww that...HEY! Not nice!" He had gasped loudly when the cold water hit his bare skin. Kras would pay. He put on his most evil face, which wasn't all that evil and Kras probably knew what was about to happen. With his free hand that wasn't still clutching Kras' for dear life, he swung back and sent a semi big splash towards Kras. But not his face, because the water was probably germ infested and Reed didn't want to think about that.

Indeed, Kras knew what was about to happen. Luckily Reed did not get water in his face. "Ah!" He laughed, pulling Reed closer to him and hugging him tightly. "Silly. Ready to do some swimming? I swear I won't let go of you." He was pretty sure Reed would love the beach even more once he felt safer in the water.

Reed sighed and let himself hug Kras for a moment before pulling back and looking up. "Promise." He bit his lip and looked around at the water nervously. "Okay okay. Let's just get this over with. No laughing either. So um, what do I do?" He knew he should have secretly practiced swimming in his parents pool, but he wanted Kras to be the one to teach him this.

"I promise, beautiful." Kras smiled reassuringly. "And I swear I won't laugh...well, I may if you look too adorable. No worries then though, because I'm not laughing at you to be mean." He nodded. "Well, I've never taught anyone how to swim before, but considering I know how to myself it shouldn't be that difficult." He took a step back from Reed, not letting go of his hand. "Okay, so when you swim it's basically kicking with your legs and moving your arms like this," he demonstrated with his free arm, "it also helps if you relax too." He wasn't sure he was explaining it too well and knew an actual demonstration would be better, but he knew Reed would not like it if he let go of him. Biting his lip he tried to figure out how else to better demonstrate swimming. "I'm not really sure I can explain it much better without just showing you, but I can't show you if I'm holding your hand." There weren't a lot of people swimming around them either he could have Reed watch.

Reed listened very intently, as if his life depended on it. "Do I have to go completely under? I don't wanna do that." When Kras suggested showing Reed, he let go of his boyfriends hand very reluctantly. "I will not move from this spot. Show me." He really wanted to be able to do this, and he was hoping he wouldn't make a fool of himself. Luckily there weren't too many people here, and he knew Kras would never judge him.

"No you don't have to go completely under. In fact I wouldn't suggest it because you'll probably get sand in your eyes, nose, and mouth and that will be icky." Kras wrinkled his nose. His eyes widened slightly when Reed actually let go of his hand. Well, as long as Reed stayed in that spot he'd be okay. "Alright, baby, stay right there." He smiled at Reed then turned and moved a little bit further into the water so he could swim about a little so Reed could see how it was done. Of course he couldn't help smiling as he swam. Kras just loved swimming at the beach. After a bit he returned and stopped by wrapping his arms around Reed's waist, standing and kissing his forehead. "There. See? Not too difficult. And we can start with just the leg kicking part. I'll hold on to your hands," he took hold of Reed's other hand as well so he had them both in each of his own, "and you can get the kicking part down."

Reed had intended to pay attention to the movements of Kras swimming. However, he got distracted by watching Kras' muscles and how the water glistened on his tan skin. By the time Kras swam back to him, Reed was blushing and trying to act as though he had completely paid attention. "Erm. Right. Yeah. I can do that." He gripped Kras' hands and didn't really know what to do next. "Do I just like, let my feet float up now then? Okay. Here goes. Don't let go okay." Even though Kras had already promised a few times not to let go, Reed just had to make sure. He pushed himself back so his arms were stretched out, then he started to let his body float in the water.

"I swear I won't let go." Kras grinned sincerely. He made sure to keep a tight grip on Reed's hands just like he promised. When Reed finally tried floating Kras smiled brightly at him. "Yay! You're doing it! See, it's not that hard. Just don't put your face in this water if you can help it." He laughed. "I know when I first took swimming lessons it was in a regular pool so the water wasn't too bad, but this stuff is all salty and gross."

Reed's eyes lit up as he let the weightless feeling take over him, this felt amazing. "Oh. Don't worry. I don't want my skin drying out, so I'm definitely not putting my face in this. But I'm doing it Kras! Look! I'm swimming!" Well, technically he was just floating, but it was close enough."How do I stay up without you holding onto me though?"

Kras chuckled, smiling affectionately at his boyfriend. "Well, if you want to try it with out me holding onto you you'll have to get the arm and leg movements down." Sure Kras wasn't the best swimming coach out there...but maybe with a little practice and some classes he could teach kids how to swim at school during the school year. That'd be fun too.

Reed's eyes widened. He was a little nervous, but knew nothing bad could happen to him while he was with Kras. "Okay. So what. I just like, kick my legs?" He was starting to let his natural instinct kick in, instead of completely relying on Kras. He reluctantly let go of Kras' hands and did a sort of doggie paddle type thing, but soon felt himself sinking further in the water and promptly stood up. "I sorta did it!" He was beaming up at Kras and noticed his shoulders were starting to feel a little warm. "Oh. I think it's time for round two of sunblock."
